I also wanted to say that I love you guys and that I love RVB, I love RTAA, I love EVERYTHING you do. Your work will be remembered for a very, very long time. The world loves you, Rooster Teeth. We love you.
I like how Burnie read the wikipedia article about electrocution and confirmed that it is only used for death, when the literal next sentence says it also refers to non fatal injuries as well.
My question is why Texas A&M weren't charged for defacing a mascot with the Bevo thing but they have the balls to place a felony on college kids for kidnapping their mascot. Wtf?
The Bevo incident happened a long time ago, these incidents where not simultaneous. The Bevo story is treated as a legend, whether it is true or not. There's not much proof. Kidnapping Reveille was much more recent and they didn't tell the full story. The felony charge was a threat, a threat that made the kids give her back. It was a power play, a bluff.
around 47:00, i feel like the reason there is no word for having to go to the bathroom is because during most language synthesis it wasn't really a state of being. You would just immediately take care of the problem whereas with hunger, thirst, fatigue, etc they were more frequently prolonged issues of need.
In Peter Davison's defence, he was saying that The Doctor is a typically non-violent male role, which is what he was mourning the loss of. I still disagree with him but he wasn't being anti-female, and I think it's a little unfair to present it that way.
To be clear, the voice actor for Freddy that Barbara mentioned was the voice of Freddy for Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location, which featured a lot of voice acting. And I remember a teacher in elementary school that could do a good Donald Duck impression.
The idea behind the email misunderstanding conversation is why I dont talk to people through writing except for very important things and when I do I do it in a very matter of fact way. It has alienated me from most of the people in my generation
That's how I think of it, but all of my friends think I'm crazy. Next should immediately imply that it's not the day in the current week, but the day of the following week.
Do you really have that much trouble seeing life from another point of view? Its something typically done in private, and some people are uncomfortable with it being talked about in such an open way Also some people listen to the podcast in their cars and a graphic sex discussion at a red light with the windows down on a hot day when grandma pulls up beside your car can make things a tad uncomfortable
adjective: passive-aggressive of or denoting a type of behavior or personality characterized by indirect resistance to the demands of others and an avoidance of direct confrontation, as in procrastinating, pouting, or misplacing important materials. The avoidance of being aggressive. So yes.
There's a very good reason why "aggressive" is in the phrase "passive aggressive." It has nothing to do with being non-threatening. The purpose of being passive aggressive is to still attack the person, albeit in a more subtle manner.
If you look it up, electrocution now includes injury via electric shock. The term originally referred only to execution via electric shock but that definition has changed over time.
4:50 Gavin - "America is such a weird country." Not like here in the UK, where nothing weird happens at universities like Oxford; Dave Cameron will vouch for that.
In my opinion, the phrase "no offense, but" is meant to be used when someone isn't intending to be rude and the person receiving shouldn't take it as rude either. Saying "No offense, but you're ugly!" between friends doesn't work because the statement "you're ugly" is meant to be rude or offensive. Saying "No offensive, but your face is hilarious!" between friends does work (in most scenarios) because the statement "your face is hilarious" can be taken several different ways.
There is an episode of Doctor Who were the Doctor shoots a time lord and he regenerates from male to female who then comments on how happy they are to be female again.
I don't know what exactly sparked the thought in my head, but I think it would be pretty funny to hear the MeUndies ad-read done in a pirate voice. "Yeeargh... Me undies are so comfy."
Imagine the backlash when the female doctor is eventually recast as a male. It's going to be chaos. I'm all for the female doctor and I don't understand why people are complaining at all.
It's not about having a female in the lead role, it's more about the story going from focusing on regular plot points and ideas to having every episode being about how great she is for doing the same thing as a guy would do...
27:34 THANK YOU!!!!! I have the talent of changing my voice to somebody else's damn near perfectly, but I can't do a Donald Duck voice at. NOBODY can do a Donald Duck voice.
My issue with the Doctor Who gender swap regeneration is that they may center some episodes on that fact that the Doctor is a woman now, instead of just treating The Doctor like the Doctor. It may be some serious forced dialogue.

I've noticed for a while that story in doctor who has been getting sloppier with more politics being shoved in. Just look at the last doctor. Peter Capaldi is an amazing actor yet the episodes he played the doctor in are kinda meh. I feel like this was a move to push even more politics into the show, specifically gender politics.

I have a good feeling about Chibnall's work, considering he did Torchwood which is a great spin off that deals with much more... let's call it 'adult material' and it didn't put any focus on what you called 'gender politics' which btw sounds weird. Back to back sentences from Gavin:
"When did cavemen invent cats?"
"So they've never dumped in the robot?"
(1:11:20)
How is your day going?
Jersey Mikes
I remember that
👐
Rewatching this in 2020 is wild. They had fortnite as a sponsor and were surprised that they got someone as big as Jersey Mikes. wild.
Miles with the Team Rocket shirt and Sonic shoes. I really hope he has Final Fantasy underwear on.
I also wanted to say that I love you guys and that I love RVB, I love RTAA, I love EVERYTHING you do. Your work will be remembered for a very, very long time. The world loves you, Rooster Teeth. We love you.
Would Michael Jones be considered a Jersey Mike?
Oh god that’s awful
And his child is a mini sub
Miles stole Burnies 2006 look.
I love that they get randoms to drop in. The podcast was great, but adding randoms for short times is amazing.
RTAA Beardy Kisses starts at 39:40
LazarouDave life saver
this is one of my favorite casted pods. this lineup is just so relaxed
I like how Gavin said nearly the exact same thing about the dog as he did the first time he heard about it ages ago on a previous podcast.
I legit LOVE that they're integrating more people into the podcast, especially as random encounters with the open mics.
THAT SLOW MO GUYS SHIRT IS BEAUTIFUL
I like how Burnie read the wikipedia article about electrocution and confirmed that it is only used for death, when the literal next sentence says it also refers to non fatal injuries as well.
LMAO 16:26 Gavin's beer
I love their Guest camera that they've been doing. It made the whole GoT eunuch discussion all the more funny.
If ProZD made an appearance in a Rooster Teeth show, I would pay for Double Gold just to watch it.
RED MEDINA when did they mention ProZD I watched the podcast already and I don't want to watch through it all to find it
Don't give them ideas...
Rolando Sierra start from 32:00 only 3 minutes max
He is an actual VA so they could hire him. For comedy def RvB or Camp Camp and RWBY and maybe upcoming Genlock.
he's in RvB season 16!! Bit late but yeah
End of September, missed this podcast for some reason. Thanks YT recommendations, once again.
I have never laughed out loud harder than at 43:00 I swear.
Good guy Burnie.
42:25 killed me lmao.
Callie Taylor i literally died
Burnie knows what's up.
That along with the segue into the ad read made me laugh out loud, instead of breathing harder for half a second
Miles has got to be the best ad reader I've heard. It seems like he actually shows emotion while reading it!
lol I'm an Aggie, my family are all Aggies, everything y'all are saying about A&M is 100% true. What a hilarious start to a podcast
The word for needing new to go to the toilet, at least in Australia, is busting.

Tyler, in the first 5 minutes, basically brought Sportsball back from the dead

Burnie's face when he asked the muppet question! It's as if it's the most super serious, life altering question ever 😂

People got mad about sexual topics? Why? It's part of life and they talk about all parts of life.
Vulture2k exactly
Do you really have that much trouble seeing life from another point of view? Its something typically done in private, and some people are uncomfortable with it being talked about in such an open way

She said passive aggressive. Which means non-threatening. So basically the opposite. Not trying to seem aggressive.
That's not at all what passive aggressive means.

Tyler Coe is RT's greatest gift. That dude KILLS whenever he's on a show. He needs his own podcast or show. haha
Man this episode had great ad "segways". Just like every time that Gus is absent.
"Choking is either sexual or it's like with the force" put that on a t-shirt and I will buy it
Does Miles have on goddamn Sonic the Hedgehog sneakers?
Nicholas Brennen hey it could be worse he could be wearing soaps
Miles is also wearing a Team Rocket shirt.
i went to the comments just for this
Nicholas Brennen There's a Miles Prowler/Miles per hour joke here somewhere
