Across living for 10000 years, she must have dealt with incredible, unfathomable loss. Especially trying to influence and protect humanity from behind the scenes.
Bearing a full complement of emotions, she would easily grow desensitized to it, losing her compassion and empathy, and either fulfilling her eternal quest a blind and empty shell, or giving up on it entirely.
By adopting various charges over the centuries, it not only allows her to remain around humanity(?) and remain aware of their individual struggles, (so as to not lose sight of what she’s protecting), but it also grants her something she personally cares about, and allows her to feel the specific worries and cares of a parent, and gives her invested interest in saving the world for eternity

To increase the validity of your future videos/theories, I recommend you have the sources of your information (like which story stage; operator record; file) to be put on the bottom left corner of the video, when you're sharing a key information, similar to how Kurzgesagt does it. So that the shared info can easily be retraced when one tries to challenge it.

in Popukar's files, it's stated that Kal'tsit got "visibly upset" due to Popukar's situation. Popukar had been sold into slavery by her parents to a lumberyard, and Kal'tsit bought her out of it. while I don't know the full story of Folinic or Passenger, this single instance shows that Kal'tsit is willing to act on impulse to give someone a better life.
So she's basically Gandalf.
Kal'tsit is probably the most powerful person in the world of Terra. I think she only cares about the big picture, and her getting a band of misfit toys and treating them well helps her. Right now Rhodes Island is her instrument for advancing her goal of saving/protecting humanity because of the existential threats of the Seaborn, the demons outside of humanity's borders, the great dragons/demigods (though she seems to be recruiting them one by one), and humanity tearing itself apart. Reunion, not necessarily Tallulah's goals, could have ended in everyone getting infected which ends humanity. Her constant involvement in politics to prevent global arts wars that could end humanity. Whatever AUS is about... seems to be some sort of contingency group for protecting humanity. Then there is you... the Doctor that can lead her misfit toys into combat and essentially guarantee success, while also being a prime researcher on another existential threat to humanity: Oripathy. I know she is "infected", but Mon3tr is the manifestation of her disease. However she survived, she has it fully under control and now has a sentient rock cancer monster with her.
Kal'tsit is also the last bastion of humanity. It makes me wonder if she was around when Originium was discovered and was part of some greater colonization project of Terra that went horribly wrong, serving as it's overseer with the prime directive of protecting humanity.

some of these seem to partially be answered in the translation of her module text. we don't have an official translation, but it seems she is truly from and of Terra; just from a land so ancient that none remember it even existed before. And you are correct about her big picture goal being to ensure Humanity at least continues on existing; it's stated to be a drive as powerful for her as the need to eat or breathe, something so integral to her as a person that she can't ever put it down... even if she no longer remembers when this goal was handed to her.
It is implied that she would lose to the Seaborn in IS3 bad end though, along with the rest of Terra.
@@hungnguyenquang3779 Implied but not reasonable. Bad endings are always blown out of proportion in anything including LN's. Skadi is definitely a walking calamity but no Calamity has ever struck Kjerag, which tells me that gods are just in another league tbh. And if Kal'sit can get them to take part in a battle against the seaborn well they shouldn't stand a chance by all reasonable measure. I think the only issue is you can't kill them without ending all life on Terra so thats the only caveat.
1:36 There actually is a date mentioned in the tutorial stage of chapter 2 where its mentioned it has been 4 days since the rescue mission which is a long enough time for warfarin to do a sussy move

@@brunopagnoncelli975 My bet is that he did something in the past that crossed the line for her, and part of why she's so mad at the Doctor now isn't just that he did something bad, it's that she didn't expect it from HIM. A betrayal not just of trust, but of expectation.

Kalsy holds a special place in my heart... the reason I even started playing Arknights was due to seeing a video of Kal'tsit dancing inside a car meme.

Honestly, the arknights team writing did her personality and morality and behavior really well, and this video REALLY explains her, not just downgrading her to ex wife jokes, so i appreciate that! Good vid Qaiser!
I get goosebumps from Kaltsit. The character rarely appears, we know little about her, despite the fact that she seems to know everyone, she pursues strange goals and her age. There are things on Terra that may not be explained by Originium, Arts and Mechanisms that no one knows about, for example Laterano's "Law" or Her Monster, Kal Tsit herself,
as can be seen from her dialogues, for example, in the executor files, not only is she in no hurry to talk about these phenomena, obviously knowing about them, she seems to be watching so that no one says too much, this phrase in the files about her facial expression, how much I heard it, either makes me laugh because I don't read it correctly over and over again, or scares me.
The best Arkknights character? Yes. The most dangerous one?...... Fuck knows, I got lost while writing this and my English is really bad too, so I misread a lot
By the way, i don't see, that any of her old familiars scares or surprised, that she still alive and in such good shape. Seems like they know something too and of course didn't tell us. But that's maybe because i missed some valuable information. I'd like to get some corrections!

To put it simply. Kal'Sit is Amiya's mom and Dokutah is Amiya's dad!
Not only that, Dokutah seems to fir in the same category has Kal'Sit. Very old guy (was in a refrigerator for years!) that is very knowledgeble. Majority of operators rely on him to. If Kal'Sit is the Grandmother of Rhodes Island then Dokutah would be the Grandfather of Rhodes Island. Not just from story reasons but also the way they act.
Besides Dokutah is kinda like Victini in a sense. Whenever he is around Operators and Rhodes Island can expect a win! Funny how that goes. For those wondering why here is Victini's Pokedex entry: "This Pokémon brings victory. It is said that Trainers with Victini always win, regardless of the type of encounter." Dokutah trough and trough.

I really like Kal'tsit, don't get me wrong, but my interest in her lore role has waned quite a bit. I love her character, her design, her presence in the story but her background has stopped mattering at all to me, and it likely won't until we get literally anything concrete on it. How old it she? Who knows. What's mon3tr has it always been a part of her or something she gained later in life? All answers are entirely speculative afik.
They just haven't given that little nugget to make the mystery actually interesting like they have with so much other ancient stuff. The Rhodes Island ladyship and the skeleton associated with it are currently way more intriguing to me.

Mont3r actually have PRTS memories and make promise to protect dokutah so that's why Kal'tsit is very fond of dokutah and Mont3r have basic pokemon like intelligence
Quick mention from cn server kaltsit module. The number 3 in the name mon3tr is the number of times she has died. Which i why you see 4 versions of her. Her module is called 'mon2tr'
Yeah, Kal'tsit is my favourite operator, how did you know? She is the eternal sentinel of Terra, also Mon3tr is kinda cute and I hate myself more than she does.

She's basically kinda like a Gandalf figure in the Arknights universe. Her goal is ultimately to inspire and assist others in their struggles, being the beacon of hope when all seems lost.

Edit: someting I realise after watching the video is that Kal'tsit is very similar to what it is described as "a Perpetual" in Warhammer 40000.
In WH40k there is a group of individuals called Perpetuals that have been around on earth since bassically the beginning of Mankind.
They are inmortal in all senses since they cannot die from age and they can recover from the most serious wounds. They are also very powerful individuals with deep knowledge of the universe, very wise but also very caring for the human race, and they are also an absolute mistery because almost nobody in the galaxy knows they exist.
Kal'tsit is a Perpetual in my head cannon.
So all theresis needs is some fulgurite?

A theory that most likely to be wrong that I suddenly think of when watching this video is that she is a deity in some sense, similar to the nian siblings. She maybe some kind of ancient god that have live and see so much that she decided to interfere. Mont3r is her own spine and so does alot of monsters in mythology, they spawn from ancient monsters or gods.

I think her taking care about others (AKA her adopting tendencies) is a way for her to nurture individuals to face Terra, after all, of all the things in that world, kindness is not one of them. She has seen it first hand, for a long time, after all.
Kal'tsit also pretty much wears the equivalent of a Nurse outfit as her default which is NICE.
(I wish more people called Kal'tsit as sensei like Amiya does.)
She started as a big mystery character and even though we know her and her past a bit better now, I love how she still retains that mysterious but powerful position that knows when and when not to use her vast knowledge in order to help R.I.. Since she realizes that just telling us that knowledge now probably won't even be something we can do anything about at the moment.... like Oripathy. I love how she is written into this world.
Some maybe don't like her long monologues she goes on, but those honestly made me fall in love even more with her. It's not everyday I get to discuss philosophy in an anime game.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Kal'tsit AND Rosmontis still don't have a buyable skin tho.

Alright, listen me guys. Kaltsit is actually another playable character like doctor. But her game starting from very before centuries. She have high knowledge because she was there when the events starting. She makes false decisions and started again. Learned things again and again. Theresa discovered this fact and also noticed us. Kaltsit don't want another player in universe but Theresa stopped her. Cool huh.

Mon5tr is part of kal'tsit's spine. And yes I call it Mon5tr, it's original name. Kal'tsit predates Arknights so some of her lore likely originates from her days as just an OC. In her old lore she was an ancient thing that helped others and heals them. She never talks about where she originally came from or how old she is. She is one of the most mysterious things in the whole universe as a whole.
