Opera gala: great arias from Puccini, Verdi, Donizetti, Bellini, Bizet, Lehár, Mozart and others

- Beautiful arias by Puccini, Verdi, Donizetti, Bellini, Bizet, Mozart, Beethoven, Lehár, Charpentier and Giordano. In May 2017, international stars like Atalla Ayan (Tenor), Janai Brugger (Soprano), George Gagnidze (Bariton), Siobhan Stagg (Soprano), Annalisa Stroppa (Mezzo-soprano), Alexander Tsymbalyuk (Bass), Virginie Verrez (Mezzo-soprano), Marigona Qerkezi (Soprano) and Joshua Guerrero (Tenor) performed world famous arias at the 6th opera gala in Bonn in 2017.
The fundraising event was organized by the German AIDS Foundation aids-stiftung.de. The proceeds went to projects in Germany, Mozambique and Burundi. If you would also like to make a donation to AIDS projects, please visit this page: www.aids-stiftung.de/spenden.

Opera singers amaze me. Virtuosity, musicianship, performance, the many languages, theatrics … all these come together in the opera singer. It’s truly amazing.

I am very deliberate to being diaappointed with what this evening presents as a GALA. I can only say that I have been very fortunate in my life. I have attended performances exclusive GALA and performances that were not GALA but thrilled as a GALA performance from another time past. What has happened? Thank you, Maestro.
Indeed. Every singer has all of the stresses in the wrong place with the arc of vocal production. It’s all overly covered tones and garbled vowels. It’s as if they are undergraduates just making scales on an “oh”vowel and roaring. This creates a serviceable effect. Some were better at the job than others like the soprano who sang Traviata. The orchestra of course is completely fine.
Thank God I'm not the only one who thought this!

As I'm a drama queen I really appreciate Tragical and/or Epical Operas. And that is why I'm an appreciator of the Romantic Era. We are not happy all the time. There are and there always will exist moments of sadness.

在这里的演唱会我每次听到共鸣好很悦耳的歌声,都发现唱歌者是胖的。 以前中国最著名歌唱家马玉涛也是胖的 , 这说明胖人唱歌容易发出很悦耳的共鸣声 。不过现昨天中国已经找到如何很好地发出共鸣声了 所以有经过专业训练的歌唱家基本上不管体型胖瘦都能唱出很好的共鸣声了。
