Hello XMRenegade, It's been eight months now, so are you still happy raising your handle bars? Or do you feel like there's a bit of an "ape-hanger" feel while sitting down? (I want to go with a 3" rise as I'm quite tall and want more stability from higher handlebars when I ride standing up.)
Honestly it is probably my favorite upgrade. I am about 6'2" and I could see going another inch up, I just wasn't sure about cable lengths. It feels completely natural sitting and 10 times better while standing.
Ah, good to hear@@XMRenegade. And you're right, the brake line, throttle cable/wiring, and other wiring runs will certainly be more effort. Besides the 3" rise I'm thinking about handlebars with more rise as well. Plus some kind of seat pad addition. Seeing your confirmation gives me some confidence in those mods although I'll do them one at a time. At 6'7" I just know the bars will feel quite low. I have an Outlander Max on order that should be delivered quite soon now after a 5-month wait. Once the warrantee is expired I'll start making those mods.
No. Cables are just long enough. I dont think you could go with a bigger riser without modification though. Just to add, the bar risers make the bike so much more comfortable, I highly recommend them!
@@Parkerfredman The factory steering stem is a hollow tube and is fairly easy to bend when pushing on the bars hard. The steering brace is a solid peice of aluminum and prevents this.

Did you have a problem with the cables being to short?
No. Cables are just long enough. I dont think you could go with a bigger riser without modification though. Just to add, the bar risers make the bike so much more comfortable, I highly recommend them!
Do you need steering stem for it to work?
No you don't need it.
@@XMRenegade what’s the point of the steering stem
