Overview
Lexus has been trying to shed its stodgy image in favor of a fresh, sporty demeanor for some time, and results have been good. With the RX Hybrid, however, comfort is still king, and even the F Sport Performance, the most aggressive of the bunch, retains the brand's trademark soft suspension. That's not a problem if you're looking for luxury, because the gas-electric RX has that down-just don't get too excited by the creased sheetmetal. The RX Hybrid is offered with a trio of efficient powertrains, all of which are paired with all-wheel drive: the 246-hp RX350h, the 366-hp RX500h F Sport Performance, and the 304-hp RX450h+ plug-in hybrid, which offers an estimated 37 miles of electric-only range. All have nicely finished cabins with comfy seats and user-friendly infotainment. If you must have a hybrid but want a skosh more driver involvement, consider the Volvo XC60. For those prioritizing fun, the BMW X3 and the Porsche Macan fit the bill.
What's New for 2025?
Lexus will build 500 RX500h F Sport Performance Black Line Special Editions, which feature black exterior trim, black wheels, and orange brake calipers. All come painted Incognito, a gray hue that is new to the color palette this year. There's also a new F Sport Design trim available for the RX350h that gives that model a more aggressive look without the suspension changes that come with the other F Sport variants.

The price of the 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid is expected to start around $53.000 and go up to $71.000 depending on the trim and options.
