Make sure you don't operate this outside of the temperature rating for your LFP battery - it will damage it in the cold

True! Renogy recently released an LFP battery with self-heating function for this exact problem. It is only an issue when charging in negative celsius temperatures. I just store it in the winter.

For Canadian winters here in Ontario would a lead acid battery be an advantage?
Even though LFP battery will outlast lead acid battery, is the simplicity of a lead acid battery an advantage in cold weather?

    600$ for the LiFePo4 battery?!?
it seems 2times too expensive for a 100Ah model.
