Firstly, you will need to remove the front door card panel: ua-cam.com/video/jtkU5-rA4Jg/v-deo.html Tools used: -10mm Socket -Philips Screwdriver -5mm Allen key amzn.to/2U7aEZq (included in this set, good for most small jobs) -Long Nose Pliers amzn.to/3iPOhAM
Hi great video ive changed the actuater and handle but sometimes the door still doesnt open . I think the rod which goes from the handle to the actuater doesnt press all the way down cant find the clips to hold the rod in place any help with that. Many thanks
I'm not sure that the clips are available separately from Honda (could be wrong though). Purchasing a used item from a breaking vehicle may be your only option, and then using the clips from that.
Question: 3:22: is it possible to remove the outer plastic cover from the rest? Theoretically if yes, then there would be no need to remove the whole door (I would like to paint the cover black)
Yes, there are small screws on the inside of the handle that hold the outer cover in place, but they may be very hard to access without first removing the complete handle assembly.
Thanks for the video! The small plastic topcover on one of my handles did get a little lose. This video showed me that I should just put a small drop of glue between it and save myself some time. Or would you advise against doing that ?
I was going to do the same but when you come to selling the car it’s a bad look having a bad door handle. The first mechanical thing you interact with is the handle. I use it as a general rule when buying cars but some cars like these have them faulty from the factory

Really good video thank you!
If I just want to change the lock barrel is that possible? Or do I have to remove the whole mechanism?
Did you ever find out mate?
@@alexclarke160 I didn’t I’m afraid. I ended up leaving it
Thanks, helped me a lot

Great !!!
Glass needs to come out I'm assuming??
Yes, we removed the glass to make it easier to access, but it should be possible with it fitted if it's all the way up.
What special key this small ??
Sorry I don't understand, could you explain further?
@@SelectVehicleSpares I’m guessing he meant the Alan key :)
