Foster City Lagoon Tour

This is a two-hour self-driving boat tour at the Foster City, California Lagoon. Foster City was incorporated in 1971. It was originally developed by landfilling Brewer Island in the San Francisco Bay, in San Mateo County, Ca. It was owed by the Brewer family for over 100 years, and it was used for hay farming. During the development of the planned community in 1960, the surface area of the island was raised six feet, and an artificial lake was dug in its center. The developed land became Foster City with over 30k residents and homes with a median value of 1.6 million in 2024.
