I have a Discover it, and a Discover it Chrome card. I thought about product changing my Chrome to a regular it, but I decided to keep it and use it just for gas. I have a Savor One Capital One card for dining.

I just ordered my Discover it Student Cash Back card today! It will be here next week. I can't wait to start using it, and building my credit. I am so happy I didn't have to wait until next year before getting it. I didn't even have any money either or a credit history. They gave me a 1k line of credit. I plan on using this credit card until I finish college, and get my credit score to at least 700+. Then I am going to get the Navy Federal More Rewards Credit card next!

Great video !! I just turned 20 and I recently got my first credit card from Captial one so for paid statement balance in full before due date and stay at 25% under on my 1k limit. Just applied for a student card worth the 5% cash back since I work 35 minutes from work and need gas quite frequently got a 696 credit score as of right now and aiming for 750 and higher!

If you move money from a cc to discover there will charge you 3% one time and then you pay no interest for however many months...

The student card or the secured card is a good choice.
I applied for the student cash back one but it automatically said there was “no credit record available” I called and they said to call equifax...does that mean you have to have an account with a credit bureau before applying for a credit card?
No it just means you don’t have any credit. Consider getting the secured card with them.

No you cannot apply for more than one discover card in a year. You must wait a year...
Hey I got the discover secured card a while ago and I see the benefits are better in the student cash back one. Should I apply for that as well? Would that impact my credit score due to the inquiry?
I would call them and see if they will allow you to switch over.

That is a great question...I think your card will transition to a regular card. But you want to be sure to call and ask them what is going to happen.

It can be super hard to keep up with your credit cards in college but if you can manage it I would say go ahead and start with credit now.
Don’t ever use the card unless you have the money at that moment to pay off the credit card.

I got my Discover it Student Cash Back Card today and I just have a few questions. After I am done with college, can I still use this card or should I switch to a different card? And if I switch, is there a fee? I saw somewhere if you move your credit to another card I would be charged.
You should be able to switch and there will not be a fee...

Go to the discover site and see if you are prequalified. If you are then don’t forget to use my referral link for the discover card. You will get a $50 statement credit after your first purchase.
If you are not prequalified you can get the secured card. Just put $200 for your deposit.

Why Discover doesn't let me have the Student Card after I got my Secured Card? I don't understand how do they really work. Because I was declined for the Student Card even if I presented evidence that I was a student because of no credit history and they refuse to explain to me of why is that. Please someone help.
Yeah man that’s tough. Sorry to hear that...what you may consider doing is waiting for about 6-9 months and then reapply for maybe just the secured card.
Or you could apply for the Citibank secured credit card. Or the Bank of America secured cash rewards card.
