I am not sure that I can say anything that has not already been said here. My heart feels as if it is about to burst - not just because of the untimely loss of dear Carlos, but also because I sense the pain you feel and the turmoil you find yourselves in. It is going to take a long time for you to come to terms with what has happened, and you must allow yourselves to grieve for your loss. We will all be here to support you, I am sure, along the way. My first introduction to Il Divo was on British TV - I can’t remember the show. All I can remember is how wonderful you all looked, how beautiful your voices were individually but when you all sang fortissimo in harmony I was totally bowled over. I am a classical musician and I don’t normally listen to crossover music but you blew me away. I had to have your album. (And everything else that followed more albums, books, dvds etc). You are the only group I have ever gone to see live. The first time was in Cardiff. The young lady I sat next to had come with her mother from Devon and we got talking before it started. We both loved your sound and all of you, though we each admitted that there was just something about Carlos and his voice - when he opened his chest and dropped his jaw he was a veritable powerhouse of sound. The concert began with the support act…and then came the main attraction. I remember thinking how strange the backdrop was - a white satin curtain which didn’t hang like a normal safety curtain. It seemed an odd thing to have. The orchestra was playing and I was so excited. Then your voices….as the curtain dropped to the floor and you were standing on the top step like statues before you all started to descend the steps down to the front of the stage. I was in my 40s yet I felt as excited as I had as a child on Christmas Eve. It felt like you had just stepped out of my tv screen and come to life. I have never felt like that before or since! The night was amazing and I went home on a high! The next time I heard you in Cardiff, I was so excited by your voices that I went on to eBay next day to see if anyone had a ticket to spare. Lo and behold a lady had a spare ticket for your Manchester show, which I bought and got in my car to drive north to visit my parents so I could go to Manchester to see you. I have driven around thenUK serenaded by the four of you! I think the idea of a Carlos Marin Foundation is a wonderful tribute to him and I look forward to hearing more about that. Meanwhile, I send the three of you, David, Seb and Urs, all my love, support and sympathy ❤️🩹 💐 ❤️🩹 💐 ❤️🩹

I still cannot believe he is gone. I cannot even fathom what his close friends and family are feeling with this tremendous loss. What a fabulous talent he was. Carlos had a voice that was a gift he gave to all who heard him sing. I hope he knew how much he was loved!

I am not sure that I can say anything that has not already been said here. My heart feels as if it is about to burst - not just because of the untimely loss of dear Carlos, but also because I sense the pain you feel and the turmoil you find yourselves in. It is going to take a long time for you to come to terms with what has happened, and you must allow yourselves to grieve for your loss. We will all be here to support you, I am sure, along the way. My first introduction to Il Divo was on British TV - I can’t remember the show. All I can remember is how wonderful you all looked, how beautiful your voices were individually but when you all sang fortissimo in harmony I was totally bowled over. I am a classical musician and I don’t normally listen to crossover music but you blew me away. I had to have your album. (And everything else that followed more albums, books, dvds etc). You are the only group I have ever gone to see live. The first time was in Cardiff. The young lady I sat next to had come with her mother from Devon and we got talking before it started. We both loved your sound and all of you, though we each admitted that there was just something about Carlos and his voice - when he opened his chest and dropped his jaw he was a veritable powerhouse of sound. The concert began with the support act…and then came the main attraction. I remember thinking how strange the backdrop was - a white satin curtain which didn’t hang like a normal safety curtain. It seemed an odd thing to have. The orchestra was playing and I was so excited. Then your voices….as the curtain dropped to the floor and you were standing on the top step like statues before you all started to descend the steps down to the front of the stage. I was in my 40s yet I felt as excited as I had as a child on Christmas Eve. It felt like you had just stepped out of my tv screen and come to life. I have never felt like that before or since! The night was amazing and I went home on a high! The next time I heard you in Cardiff, I was so excited by your voices that I went on to eBay next day to see if anyone had a ticket to spare. Lo and behold a lady had a spare ticket for your Manchester show, which I bought and got in my car to drive north to visit my parents so I could go to Manchester to see you. I have driven around thenUK serenaded by the four of you! I think the idea of a Carlos Marin Foundation is a wonderful tribute to him and I look forward to hearing more about that. Meanwhile, I send the three of you, David, Seb and Urs, all my love, support and sympathy ❤️🩹 💐 ❤️🩹 💐 ❤️🩹
