I mean, it has some issues but nothings RUINED. Runs well enough, just a couple weird choices and glitches.
I don’t run issues on my phone
Well, I have the Galaxy S23 fe and the game is fine.
I got the decomp (for ios, tho theres one for android too) and its fun, the netflix one is unhearable cause the volume glitches and its super loud and has the crunchiest noice sounds like the sega startup on game gear but amped up to 100x
God I can't even imagine only having a phone to play video games

I'm still in awe that we've reached the point where some phones can run games like Death Stranding and Resident Evil 4 Remake. Phones are catching up to consoles at a scary rate.

Idk why people are saying they ruined the game like it's still a good game I've been wanting sonic mania to come on mobile for a long time I agree they should've just let Christian whitehead port it cause he worked on the game and ported the other classic sonic games but overall I haven't had any problems with this version

The only issue I have with it is sometimes the audio just doesn’t work. Besides that, it runs as it would on anything else.
It’s just a bizarre choice to release it now I feel, especially since Whitehead has since gone on with Evening Star. Like if you don’t own a console of PC that has Mania then sure but if you’re itching for a Mania fix while on the go and you have other options like a Steam Deck or Switch, then go with those.
Sonic? Lackluster ports? NEVER!!
I am glad that Sonic Mania got a mobile port however it just feels more natural and fun to play on Steam or console.
if anyone wants to play mania on android just play the decompilation (which came out like a year before the official one and its still way better), i've got a 2017 phone and it runs at stable 60fps 1080p and it even has encore mode and mods.

Well, there's also the unofficial Android port of the Decomp version that makes this port even more redundant, lol.
Remember that ports like these are meant for actual toddlers 😂 If you're a Sonic fan or a gamer at all, you'll be playing this game anywhere but a phone

As someone who genuinely tries to see the good in everything Sonic related... This is a pretty lackluster port.
For starters, the Switch version already gave the blueprints for what a mobile version of Mania could look like, with the touch controls and stuff like that. We REALLY didn't need those arrows. Hell, Mania's ORIGINAL menu would've worked WONDERS in this version.
Also, when you plug in the controller (PS4), the button graphics for Xbox shows up for some reason? Despite the PS button graphics being in the game's files. There are of course a lot of more minor issues like the aspect ratio being locked to 16:9, but that's basically it.
TL;DR. Bit of a lackluster port. But could be a lot worse. 6.5/10

This is a pretty solid port but it doesn’t feel natrual
My problem is that it's unplayable.
The game always truns the opposite directions when i jump and i can't turn mid-air, i literally can't jump

Same here. Looked and played great, but the touch pad takes away some precision control during the special stages
There's literally nothing wrong with it. It runs the same looks the same if you have at least a 720p screen, and has all the features besides Competition working well and intact. The controls are even quite smooth and responsive, and the dead zone and sensitivity of the joystick feels just right. If you like Mania, you'll like the port no duh.

I waited 2 months for it to come out in the U.S. only for it to be a even worse port than origins. I was expecting origins level, but I got worse.

it’s okay I’m not complaining. Controls are simple it not like you have to move and jerk your thumb around all over the screen.
It’s times like this I’m glad I still stick to playing on consoles.

There isn’t any framerate issues per say but the game looks like it’s running a 30fps when every other version runs at 60fps
