@hecktorrable That's true I am just not a fan of how large these prices are. The closest thing I can compare these prices to is CS:GO but at least things in that game hold some "real world" value because of trading. I am just not a fan of how far monetization is being ramped up in games and by buying these skins its telling Riot that 5 skins that can be upgraded with more money are worth $70. But again, it is a free to play game and the skins don't impact the gameplay so to each his own.

This is why, even though it's not The same genre, developers should learn from Warframe. They could make challenges for the players to get skins, like 200 kills for a 2 dollars skin, 500 for a 20 dollars skin or something. That would be rewarding. Sure, you can buy them in the store, but you can also grind for them

@@AwesomeNuke I'm gonna bring warframe as an example again. You can buy warframes, Prime Warframes which are stronger than the regular warframes. But you can also get the diagrams for them, and craft them. And they actually give you better stats, something useful. Most free2play games focus more on microtransactions instead of making the game any good. Not saying it's all of them. What I'm saying is, in my 32 Years of life, I've seen games get really overhyped, to just go down to hell and be forgotten due to microtransactions. Just look at EA for example. They started doing stuff like that, and it backfired

discounts with in game shops are fake, you can't discount something that has no "real life" value if you know what I mean, its just a marketing trick to increase the sales making it "on sale" or "limited time"
Generally when there are things that dont make sense in trade it is a money laundering scheme
@@MethicalYT Well it is technically a discount, as it's a bundle of items that would probably cost you 20.000 valorant cancer points to get if bought seperately, now that is a marketing trick, to get you to buy the bundle, they probably don't even expect to make that much money of off single sales because of it, they are just there to make the buyer go "UGH, WHAT ARE THESE PRICES!? well atleast the bundle is ChEaP" he says before bending over to recieve some tough love. Also nothing has inherent value, value is created by demand.

I have to say, I caught this live yesterday and I agree with AJ. Just because a game is F2P with cosmetic-only purchases does not protect it from criticism when the dev/publisher is clearly pricing their currency packs/store to go whaling. A cosmetics-only store can still be anti-consumer if its pricing models are completely unreasonable.
100%. I fucking love Apex Legends but I cannot believe that people defend their event-exclusive skins that cost like $120 if you want everything with the same argument. It's classic EA greed.

@@aceslayer.9279 The weapons in that pack can be upgraded (Visual/Audio/Color changes) using a resource called "Radianite" that you either earn through the Battle Pass or pay a ridiculous amount of money for.

That's a straight up lie dude. The Valorant battle pass costs $10 and it not only gives you a crap ton of skins and gun buddies, etc, but also a big amount of Radianite points that you can use to upgrade those more expensive skins.
MrBluePants What if you want more than 1 gun upgraded? Pricey AF! My biggest gripe with the system is that you have to unlock them in order. I think you should be able to choose which animations/skins you want with the Radiant points. Maybe I don’t want all 3 variations of that weapon and just want one. I actually like the Guardian so I upgraded it all the way with the Soverign skin. It’s something I wish they change down the road, but I doubt it because more $$ to spend towards radiant points if you can’t pick and choose.

Ive played plenty of FTP games over the years and I spend 10 bucks here 5 bucks there every now and then and I don't feel bad because the game is fun to play and I wanted to send some support to the devs. I feel like that's FTP done right. @@alextiby93 not only up to 10k, up to 60 or even 70k for a csgo skin (those are bought by collectors), but there is a difference, in csgo you can get real money, not only steam wallet money, but real money in your Paypal for those skins. Before the 7 day shit in csgo, I was trading, and got from a 6€ weapon to a 180€ knife and took it out for around 150€ give or take. That is the main difference between every other game that has paid skins and csgo. CSGO is a market where you can win money, in every other one you dont.
