Adam ty for doing the Pearl Harbor and USS Missouri tour. There are a lot of vets that would like to go there but are unable to; once again ty very much.
Thanks for taking us on this tour. My dad’s ship sank in WWII, 8 survived, he was one of those 8. Adrift in a raft for 3 days and a Norwegian ship picked them up. Many years later, a German man came into dad’s business. Somehow the war came up and he told my dad he had been on the ship that sank my dad’s. He was just reminiscing with regrets about the war. Dad never told him he had been on that ship.
This one is special to me. My parents were in the Coast Guard during WWII and they got stationed at Pearl Harbor.... they met on Pier 11, and were together for nearly 70 years before dad passed....then mom a few years later. So anything about this part of the Island means so much to me. Hope you and your mom are having a WONDERFUL time!!!!
Thank you for sharing your parents’ story with us. The greatest generation ❤ I appreciate their service (and their meet-cute story - nobody did that better than couples in the 1940s. My parents met in the 40s as well❤).
I always enjoy how, when you're filming a sensitive area, you don't talk. You just let the visuals tell the story. It's very respectful. Your parents raised a good man.
So wonderful to see the Arizona Memorial again !! My Dad was living on Oahu when Pearl Harbor was attacked. He drove a bakery truck as an ambulance all day and night carrying the wounded to Tripler Hospital. He enlisted in the Army after that experience. Thank you for taking us along. You and your Mom are certainly having a wonderful time in Paradise !
I thank you for doing what you do. I’m in a nursing home and can no longer afford travel. It’s creators like you that allows me to be an armchair traveler and keep me sane.
Mr. The Dailywoo you do such a great job when it comes to special American places. You document them in a special way i got goose bumps watching. Thank you so much
The Arizona was a very solemn and humbling experience for me because of my own family's WWII history and losses... It's good to know that your mom has finally been able to close the loop (so to speak) by experiencing Pearl Harbor in its entirety with you.
Hey Adam! The bird that looks like a roadrunner is called a Kolea (aka Pacific golden plover). They're actually incredible birds, they can fly up to 60 mph. They fly non-stop from the Arctic to the Hawaiian islands (back and forth depending on the season), a 3000 mile journey that they complete in 3-4 days!
Lovely tour. I was lucky to visit Hawaii several years ago and went on Pearl Harbor tour. It does make you stop and think how lucky we are. My Dad was in WW2 in Europe and my Mom worked here in Indianapolis making airplane engines.
My Grandfather was stationed at Pearl Harbor back in the 70s. At the time, there was no bridge to Ford Island. The wives would have to drop the men off at one of the docks, and they would take a boat to Ford Island to work. My Grandpa showed me spots where he worked. There is also an Aviation Museum on Ford Island which is neat too from the WWII days.
Congratulations, Adam on this 700,000 subs' milestone. so well deserved.🎊 I'm so enjoying this "series" of videos, with Mom of the Woo.👏🏻 I was fortunate to have gone to Hawaii... Oahu, and Maui.🏝🏖 Everything is so gorgeous. Along with all the lovely, beautiful memories, 🌅 I will never forget our somber, sobering trip to Pearl Harbor.😢
Awesome tour Adam, & Mamma Woo! Glad you were able to see the USS Arizona Memorial. My parents, brother, & I went to Hawaii in 1990, 33 years ago!😬 A good memory I have, since Dad passed on December of 2022. But, trust me PLEASE DO NOT take a Honolulu Sunset Dinner Cruise. It was HORRIBLE! Book Em' Danno was from Hawaii Five-0. Hello from Phoenix Arizona!🌡🔥
Fun to see your mom excited about a TV show location! I always felt that the surrender papers should have been signed on the Enterprise CV-6 as she was the most decorated ship of all-time. (19 Battle stars.)
My parents went some 35 years ago and they got to see Don Ho I still have my parents photos from the night along with Don's autograph. I hope some day I can make the trip but I am grateful to see so much of Hawaii in your videos.
Good afternoon Adam, another beautiful Hawaii video, thanks for sharing. Hi momma woo.😊 💮🏵️🌸😎📸 my mother was from Missouri when your showing that ship USS Missouri it reminds me were my mom is originally from the state of Missouri lol
Thanks for sharing the tour. Seeing Pearl Hsrbor is on my bucket list. I enjoyed seeing the buildings from the original Hawaii 5-0 as well as the remake.
31:47 I had the privilege to serve on the USS Missouri from 1989 until her decommissioning in 1992. Fun fact: the movie Under Siege had started filming when we were called to set sail for Pearl Harbor's 50th anniversary. Because of this only the exterior shots were done on the Big Mo. Interior scenes were shot on the USS Alabama. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
Thank you so very much for your service 🇺🇸 Thanks for sharing your story, too. It’s amazing and wonderful that the Missouri was kept in commission for so long! My father served on the USS Casablanca, an escort ship that brought service members back home from the Pacific. His ship was decommissioned and basically junked immediately after the war. That always seemed odd to me - seems like the government coulda found something better to do with a multi,multi-million dollar ship other than trash it.
Congrats on the 700k Mr Woo, I still remember your early vlogs. I got my dad hooked on to your vlogs. When I visit him his first question is "did you see Adam the woos new vlog" hahaha our daily conversation. Your vlogs bring us joy 😊
Adam, it's wonderful to see these amazing memories made with your mom. I lost mine at 22 and wish more than anything I could do the same. Your videos always bring joy to my day. Thank you
I'm impressed how quiet people were on the memorial (as they are told to be). The group i went with in April was completely disrespectful and had to be told to shut up several times.
That's very sad to hear. I was over there during the 60th anniversary/premiere of 'Pearl Harbor'. We watched the Stennis come in, salute and set up for the premiere and ran into a couple of sailors who had no idea what the Arizona was or why they were out saluting on the way by. The disrespect you speak of breaks my heart. 😔
Congratulations on 700K. Thanks for taking me along to a place I will never be able to get too. Glad you two got to go out to the USS Arizona. Book him Dano was Hawaii Five O
So glad you got to see the USS Missouri. I was surprised that you didn't show the wall on the USS Arizona memorial that had the names of the people who died that day. Being there above the ship was so sad for me when I was there.
i was stationed there in pearl harbor, at subase from 90-94 , on ford island where the missouri is on the north side of ford island me and some military kids built a bmx track next to the air raid bunker , the one that was in the movie pearl harbor. i bought my chevelle on hickam air force base, cruise honolulu on weekends then shipped my chevelle back with me to minnesota after my active service tour.
When we vacationed on the Big Island we took a helicopter tour over an active volcano. Also instead of buying our souvenirs from expensive shops we went to the souvenir section of the Walmart. Even purchased a new flowered suitcase to bring them back in. We named the suitcase the big Kahuna 😊
I’m so glad you and mom saw Pearl Harbor. I’ve always wanted to go there and see this so now I can say I’ve seen it from my front room. Never heard much about the ship that you guys went on but that was really a cool experience. Love seeing all the egg rooms, cooking areas, etc.! I’m excited that you and mom got to see this. Thank you Adam and mom the Woo
Adam really did enjoy the vlog today. It was very interesting today ( like always) it was so nice and beautiful place. I'm glad you and ya mom enjoyed yourselves. I'm looking forward for tomorrow's episode. Thanks for the effort you put into your videos
Another good one, this is the first time to see the memorial up so close and personal, enjoyed the ship tour too ,shout out to your mom, she looked pretty today in her blue and with her pretty necklace .
Great video. So somber feeling at the Arizona. You covered it with honor. Silent. So glad ya'll got in the standby line and got to see it. I'm sure your mom would have been disappointed to miss it a second time. Loved the USS Missouri. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see what is next.
Great you were able to get out to USS Arizona. Your mom is neat to mention Hawaii Five-0 - original - was based at Iolani Palace - she is so cool. Book em Danno🤙
Cher did her "If i could turn back time" video on this ship. I took the kids to see the U.S.S. Missouri on its last voyage in Astoria Oregon. It was an incredible day. Much respect for everyone who served or is serving our country.
I visited it before I left Hawaii in 1995. An honor to visit it before I left. The Missouri was still in service before it was mothball. My brother was on the mighty mo when he was in the Navy.❤
The late Prince Phillip (Queen Elizabeth’s husband) was a young British naval officer, serving in the Pacific when the Japanese surrender happened. Phillip’s ship (HMS Whelp) escorted the USS Missouri into the Bay of Tokyo when the articles of surrender were signed - he watched the signing ceremony (via binoculars) from the Whelp’s deck. I just found that so interesting!
It's great that you got to see a bit of Honolulu...Iolani Palace is worth taking a tour of (I'm sure you don't have time this trip...perhaps on your next trip to Hawaii.) I'm glad that you and your mom got to see Pearl Harbor...definitely a site that every American should see at some point in his/her life. Enjoy the rest of your trip!!
The poor bus driver had a nagging cough. And there's always a crying baby on the tours.😅 At least it's not a leaf blower...😅 I am enjoying your Hawaii videos very much!
i am loving the Hawaii episodes with you an your mom . Your Mom said foul at the same time i did , about what kind of bird it was . that is amazing pearl hardor . ❤
Your mum loves her Hawaii five 0 bless her , think she was hoping Steve Mcgarrett was gonnna burst into action 😉 great tour to do 👍🏻 I’ve always wanted to visit the Arizona must be an incredibly emotional atmosphere

Congrats Woo I can Remember the days wandering around FL abandoned places!
Now I know which island I want to see. Probably only will go once. Thank you for showing me around
Congrats Adam!
🎉Congratulations Adam 👍

That’s a beautiful story! Thanks for sharing ☺️

Thank you for the silence and respect you and your Mom showed at the Memorial. So many times visitors do not remember they are in a hallowed place. 🌺

Wow, your bus driver’s coughing! Love that you and your mom are having such a good time. She looked so beautiful at the loau!
I do believe that he should have taken a “sick day”…😳
@@bonnieikamas1201yea, really. All those people trapped in the little bus with windows that don't open, yikes!
Yas- coughing guy noted.
I noticed that too!!!!
Everyone is sick now 😢

Look at that! Even your Mom is great at movie history! Thanks for taking us along with you!
Your silence during the Pearl Harbor tour was beautiful. Respect. Well done
Going to Pearl Harbor is a very humbling experience. I went several years ago.
One of the most memorable moments of my Navy career was when my ship sailed into Pearl Harbor and we were manning the rails and saluted the Arizona.
🇺🇸Thank You for serving 🇺🇸
Mr. The Dailywoo you do such a great job when it comes to special American places. You document them in a special way i got goose bumps watching. Thank you so much
Adam thank you for remaining silent during a trip to the Arizona words can not do justice to those who were lost !! That was very respectful
Adam and Mom make for a GREAT stream. Glad you were able to see the Arizona. Thank You for sharing your vacation.
The Arizona was a very solemn and humbling experience for me because of my own family's WWII history and losses... It's good to know that your mom has finally been able to close the loop (so to speak) by experiencing Pearl Harbor in its entirety with you.
Your mom is so adorable. Thank you for doing this. I need to treat my mom this well.
I was stationed at Pearl Harbor for two years forty years ago. It's great seeing it again.
Thank you for your service🇺🇸
