Like this comment to Help people save time, you DON'T have to cut the ribbon at all you can just do all the hot gluing beacuse at the end you're gluing the petals back together anyways Hopefully that makes sesne
Uhm I don’t really think this works but what would I know, I saw video where they burned it with a lighter and didn’t hot glue it if that’s what you mean?
Wonderful tutorial! I am going to be recreating my wife's wedding bouquet using this method for our seventh anniversary, so I'll probably need to make like 30+ stems. While time consuming, this made it seem so much more manageable than I expected. Thank you!
thank uuu , i love how in depth your videos are and the small tips you throw in to make things easier ! i’m a guy and i’m not crafty at all but when it comes to this girl im going to try my best😭. your videos are so helpful and make me think i can pull it off! thank you lol
aw thank you so much for the kind words! its def my goal to help those out who aren't that crafty or need lots of explanation because that is definitely me haha so I'm glad I could help :)
Okay so what I've learned is every yard you can get 10 petals. I use 10-15 petals on each rose. I recently got rolls of ribbon off Temu for about $5 and 1 has made 11 roses so far and still has about maybe 3-5 roses left!
Hi i have tried making one ,it turned out like your first flower ,i saw your idea to add a ring around it to make it look bigger and i might try this idea to see if it looks any better thankyou for this brilliant video .
hmm im not too sure since ive never tried it myself but my guess would be that it might not look as nicely shaped since when you roll up the petals they make the flower wider/the outer petals get further away from the center as well as the outside edges are a lot "lower" than the center area, so you'd probably end up with a really pointy looking rose haha
liking this for later! i ordered a few stuff to make it because i want to surprise my best friend with a bouquet of roses because she is very shy and i want her to feel special , instead of the lighter could i use hot glue to replace it?
Yeah that should work! as long as it sticks everything together :) also that's so nice of you to be making it for your friend, I'm sure she'll love it!
there's not really a set number, i believe I usually wrapped it around 5 times at most? if you wrap too much it gets really hard to cut into sections, and you can always just wrap and cut again if you don't have enough pieces!
DIY is like a recipe, more then one way to achieve a great result. Minor suggestion Angel. Amazon has floral stems. You can fold and secure your roses with the glue gun also. That lighter will over heat. Since it takes at least 12 strips you can get the idea. Ouch! Any way blessings. Your end result is still cute.
Omg this was good but I have no idea which color should I do for mine it for my mom but I don’t know what color I want to do it for her birthday cause she deserves it so please help me pick down below the comments red or purple ❔😊
hi!! a tip for the burned ribbon, used the blue/star part of the flame in the lighter, not the top/yellow one. Thats how I always do it, and how my mother taught me
I haven't tried this method on paper, my guess is that it would be a bit hard to recreate the smoothness of the ribbon curves with paper but I have some paper flower tutorials on my channel you could also do instead!
I plan on making but getting styrofoam to hold the stems in to paint. I’ve seen a stick candle being used instead of lighter or them being glued instead of burned, could use cold glue gun too.
best video on making ribbon roses
im so glad you liked it! thanks for watching, and congrats on the wedding!
@@itssojocan it work with any size of ribbon?

how much ribbon do you use per bouquet? like how many petals can you get from a 2m roll?

Brings back so many childhood memories 😭🤌🥺✨
went here bc i wanted to make a deftones bouquet for my girl since her fav band is deftones tysm :)
Can we use a hot glue gun ti glue the penels instead of a lighter?
Yes
Hi i have tried making one ,it turned out like your first flower ,i saw your idea to add a ring around it to make it look bigger and i might try this idea to see if it looks any better thankyou for this brilliant video .
any alternative to lighter? scared of using it, on how clumsy i am 99 possibility i'd burn my hand and my house down after haha
What if I do one with double the amount of petals.. like 24 petals on one rose, would that still make a pretty rose shape or would it distort it?
hmm im not too sure since ive never tried it myself but my guess would be that it might not look as nicely shaped since when you roll up the petals they make the flower wider/the outer petals get further away from the center as well as the outside edges are a lot "lower" than the center area, so you'd probably end up with a really pointy looking rose haha
this video was literally so much help thank you 😊

im scared to do this bc of the fire but i will try for my bf😭
hey sojo!! quick question... can we just use normal glue instead of the lighter... they are soo pretty! and i wanna make them!
I would think so yeah! it just might be slightly more messy and could potentially not stick together as well but it would still definitely work :D
@@itssojo thank you sojo!!
Does anyone know the "width" of the ribbon?
How long are the sticks?
do we wrap the ribbon 10 times around the card?
there's not really a set number, i believe I usually wrapped it around 5 times at most? if you wrap too much it gets really hard to cut into sections, and you can always just wrap and cut again if you don't have enough pieces!

You can do whichever one is easier for you
