      That could have lots of reasons. But remember! Choose your battles. Sometimes we can talk to them later. I am from a household like that. 4 boys 1 mom. I was angry a lot. Because I didn't feel seen. And I felt my mom was just disciplining me all the time. I know it looks you don't have time, but eventually it will work in your favor. Because your connection gets better and they will listen Because you listen to them.

    I struggle facing my child’s anger issues, probably because I was shutdown as a child in my emotions, especially strong emotions. I realized a couple years ago that he is teaching me how to understand anger and help guide him, not get caught up in the emotions he’s having. I learned to talk him to help him understand his emotions when he’s not in the heat of the moment. I love how you ask questions of the kids and help them problem solve solutions and allow them options. I’m definitely going to continue my path around your advise. Thank you for all your videos. I watch them all!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ The more videos you can put out there with relationship aspects with your own child who continue to help me, especially since I’ll be his teacher too eventually.

      A great place to start when they don't listen is to change your approach in speaking to them. Instead of ordering them to do something try to explain why you need them to do something.

    My child is 26 months old and (i) throws food/water/milk on the floor. I try to take away the plate, politely telling him that "Looks like you're not hungry anymore"; Sometimes I ignore the behavior, if he thinks it is getting my attention, but all steps I take are a hit/miss. It works sometimes, but not the other times. I try to avoid the throwing scenario, but it is never predictable. (ii) brushing teeth and bathing: I offer him the brush-paste to brush himself after he is done, I offer to finish brushing and make sure he has brushed well. But he wants to eat paste and is not willing to come to bathroom. Getting him there and getting it done is a time consuming task.
    I always tell him ahead of time what we are going to do, so he knows what to expect. But it dos not work all the time.

      @SunshineTeachersTraining  5 місяців тому +1

      Thank you so much for reaching out and sharing your situation. Working with 4-year-olds, especially in a new school environment, can indeed be a challenging yet rewarding experience. It's completely understandable to feel a bit overwhelmed, especially if this is your first time encountering such energetic behavior.
      In the Montessori approach, we focus on guiding behavior through understanding and respect. A key aspect is to observe the children closely to understand their needs and interests. This helps in creating an environment that naturally encourages positive behavior. For instance, having a variety of engaging and age-appropriate activities can help channel their energy constructively.
      Also, establishing a consistent routine is crucial. Children thrive on predictability, and a well-structured day can provide them with a sense of security and order. Clear and consistent boundaries, communicated in a gentle yet firm manner, are also important. Remember, it's about guiding rather than controlling.
      Additionally, positive reinforcement can work wonders. Acknowledging and praising good behavior often encourages more of the same. Lastly, patience is key. Building a new classroom culture takes time, and your calm and persistent efforts will gradually shape the environment.
      You're doing an important job, and it's okay to seek help and advice. Don't hesitate to reach out to more experienced colleagues or mentors for support. Remember, every educator has been in a similar position at some point, and it's through these challenges that we grow and learn the most.
      Keep up the great work, and feel free to share your progress or any further questions you might have. Best of luck on your journey with these wonderful kids!

      Montessori schools help children to develop strength and interest in all subjects. They are not forced to learn in conventional ways through which they may not feel successful. In this way, they have the ability to venture into any field they choose.

    I am an English teacher. My challenge is how to discipline children who speak a different language (Vietnamese). Whenever I talk to them using these steps, they just don't care. Maybe because they don't understand me. please help 🥰

    • @SunshineTeachersTraining
      @SunshineTeachersTraining  6 місяців тому

      Thank you for sharing your experience as an English teacher working with Vietnamese-speaking children. The challenge of language barriers in classroom discipline is a common one, and it's commendable that you're seeking effective ways to address it.
      One approach could be to incorporate visual aids and non-verbal cues into your discipline methods. Children often respond well to visual signals, which can transcend language barriers. Additionally, learning some key phrases in Vietnamese, especially those related to classroom management and positive reinforcement, could significantly improve your communication with them.
      Another important aspect is building a connection with your students. When children feel understood and respected, they're more likely to respond positively. This can be achieved through patience, consistent behavior, and demonstrating genuine interest in their culture and language.
      If possible, seeking the assistance of a bilingual assistant or using translation tools during key communication moments might also be beneficial. Remember, discipline in Montessori is as much about guidance and understanding as it is about setting boundaries.
      Please keep in mind that this process takes time, and the effort you're putting into overcoming these challenges is making a positive impact. Your dedication to understanding and adapting to the needs of your students is truly admirable. 🥰

    As single parent when my kids fight with one another

    • @SunshineTeachersTraining
      @SunshineTeachersTraining  Місяць тому

      Dealing with sibling squabbles as a single parent can be tough, but there are ways to handle them in a Montessori-inspired manner that promotes harmony and teaches important life skills. One approach is to encourage open communication and problem-solving. Maybe you could gather your kids for a chat when things calm down, giving each one a chance to share how they feel. For example, if they're arguing over a toy, you might say, "Let's all take turns explaining why we want to play with the toy." This helps them learn to express themselves respectfully and understand each other's perspectives.
      Then, you can guide them to brainstorm solutions together. Encourage them to come up with ideas like taking turns with the toy or finding a different activity they can enjoy together. You could suggest, "What do you think about playing a game together instead?" This empowers them to find solutions that work for everyone, teaching cooperation and problem-solving along the way.
      Finally, remember to praise them when they handle conflicts peacefully. Acknowledge their efforts to communicate calmly and work together, like saying, "I'm proud of how you talked it out and found a solution together." Positive reinforcement helps reinforce good behavior and encourages them to continue using these skills in the future.
      By approaching sibling conflicts in this way, you're not only addressing the immediate issue but also laying the foundation for strong communication, empathy, and cooperation in your family.

      I would like two suggest for you to observe and see what her interests are and try and give her activities that match this. Also... practical life activities give a lot of satisfaction to children... cleaning, cooking etc

    As much as this approach is ethical and compassionate, it doesn't prepare the child for survival in this difficult world. There are rules and hierarchies for a reason.

      Most definitely... I totally agree. And we all need to follow rules for sure... but we want wan our children to follow rules out of love... not fear

      @@SunshineTeachersTraining exactly, children need to understand why do they have to submit to rules so in their future they would make a logical decision before they submit to an order or a rule, that remind me of hoax caller in McDonald's and what happened to poor girls who submitted to rules that trapped them to sexual assault (watch don't pick up the phone in Netflix)

    The videos are too long. Information is at 0840 The video also makes you have to watch another video to complete the advice. That's unhelpful. Youa re clearly now, more interested in clicks and UA-cam rewards, than giving advice and guidance.
