    Hello everyone, I'm 🍔
    The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30) NKJV
    14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
    20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
    24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’
    26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.
    29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

I can buy constitutional silver at just over melt price or buy silver eagles for about 6 to 8 dollars PER OUNCE over spot!!! Lmao, it's really a no brainer. I'm not sure why you are making it difficult. All you have to do is assign every coin a value based on the silver that it contains. It's literally 1 st grade math.

    Simply put you paid $4 over spot for your ASE, and only $2.13 over spot for your junk silver which was actually 1.4 oz troy. So you stack for awhile and have 1000 silver eagles that you paid $4000 over spot for. Same 1000 ozs of junk silver you only would have paid $1521 over spot. So 2 minutes of math would have saved you around $2500 in real money. 2 minutes well spent.

    Man, you should have never crossed swords with Silver Seeker. He's one of the smartest silver stackers on UA-cam. He has a calculator for a brain and specializes in buying bouquet silver products at coin shows and bringing it back to his UA-cam channel and selling the high priced silver products to his fan club member in his UA-cam auctions. I like when Silver Seeker calls random coin shops around the US and asks them how much they will buy his silver from him. I wish he would just once ask the coin shop guys if they have any Kennedy's in a tube and if they tell the him yes, he should tell the coin shop guy that they'd better let them out so they can get some air and then hang up on them.

      @@joewood6578 you mean like silver dimes that are worth $2.25 quarters that are worth $5.60 and halves that are worth $11.25? To buy a 10th oz silver round right now you are paying an exorbitant premium. The cheapest I can find right now is $5.35 to buy a 1/10 oz round that is $3.10 worth of silver. Most are well above that unless you buy hundreds at a time. I can get a dollar face value of constitutional that contains .715 oz of silver for about $1.50 to $2.00 over the spot price. So I am paying about half the premium to get over 7 times as much silver. I mean if you want to keep throwing your money away you are welcome to do so. I'll take the much less expensive route and get way more silver for my dollar. Is there a place for 1 ounce rounds in stacking? Yes. I have quite a few 9999 silver maples myself. I got them for a good deal about 2.5 years ago at about a 2 dollar premium. That being said you'll never catch me paying 5 to 8 dollars a oz premium on a coin when I can get a round or similar coin for a fraction of that.

  • @user-pj6nn9mr3n
    @user-pj6nn9mr3n Місяць тому

    When buying 90% coins you simply don’t buy in ounce quantities. Forget about ounces
    You buy in face value.
    Small time buyers get one roll of (40) quarters let’s say. That’s $10 face value (amount of credit you’d get if you spent it at the Walmart). Dealer quotes you 22x face value. You buy $10 FV So he wants $220 for the roll. You don’t even need to know how many ounces it is. No one cares about ounces when dealing with junk silver really. It’s bought and sold by FV only!
    If you want to know if it’s a good deal just divide his quote (22 x) by the universal conversion factor (.715). In this example you get $30.77/oz. Check the spot price and premium and decide if it’s good for you.
    Deal is completed without ever knowing how many ounces!!
    If you can’t let go of the old way of thinking and have to know how many ounces you bought, just multiply the Face Value you bought by the same universal junk silver converter (.715) and you get $10 x .715 = 7.15 oz.
    So your $10 quarter roll contains 7.15 oz of pure silver

    Im not siding with either of you. But it is failry simple. You take the number "times" face value, that you can buy it for and multiply it by 1.4. That will tell you what you paid per ounce. So....if you buy at 22X face value...22 x1.4 = $30.80. Thats what you're paying per ounce, which is close to spot right now. My rule of thumb is I never pay more than 21X face. No one will sell me junk silver at that low price right now. So....Im not buying junk silver right now.I hope this makes sense!

Just keep stacking, don't continue to alienate, and disregard the ones who can see value in other forms of silver. Premiums play a big factor in what is purchased at an LCS, at least for me. I ask 2 questions, what they are selling generics for and what rate for junk is, after that, I buy 1 or the other. I have never bought an ASE at the LCS with premiums attached, but I've found them as culs in the generics. You do you, I'll keep buying your precious ASE's at a reduced price, and we'll all be happy in the end.👍

A good coin buyer will always consider that when buying then when many slicks especially on common date barbars, mercury dimes, walking liberties, etc will offer less. I'm just stating he is incorrect on his ASW of coins without mentioning that weight is used as an average weight accounting for wear, but if u have coins with little to no wear the silver weight is higher and buyer should offer little more

      Yeah I hear ya
      We’re in agreement. Although sometimes the more worn stuff sells for more. Eg. About 8 toz ($240 worth) less on a $1000 bag of Mercury vs Roos. but you can sell the mercs for more. Premiums are always changing so it’s best to keep up to date on prices.

    Math is simple. Ur making it complex. Sure u might need a calculator for some, but not really. 1.40 face value is 1 ozt. So $2 face divide by 1.4 is 1.43ozt. Spot at ~$30 times 1.43 is ~$30+(~30×.43)[$12.9]. So if u paid less than $43 on ur $2 face u got a great deal. If u paid more than 43 subtract spot value from what u paid i.e $46(23×face) for face value. Difference of $3. Take that $3 and divide by ozt u mathed earlier and thats the premium over 1ozt u paid. 3/1.43=2.1 over spot per ozt. This was all done mentally. .715ozt is the accepted weight for $1 face value on circulated 90%coins. Weighed some coins for comparison. 2 unc kennedy half dollars weigh out at 25g. 10 mercury dimes weigh out to 24.4g, 4 random quarters 24.8g 2 standing liberty half's 24.6g.

    Personally, I just memorized the ASW (Actual Silver Weight) of all the constitutional coins (.77344 dollars / .36169 halves / .18084 quarters / .07234 dimes). Then I just have to multiply that number by the number of coins of each type I have or add up the weights, which I then multiply by the current spot price. If I had one of each and the price was $30.68, then my total value would be approximately $42.50. I NEVER do the multiplication times the face value stuff. Having said that, I love Constitutional and it makes up fully half of my Silver stack. My Silver Eagles make up only about 28% of my total Silver stack. Keep stacking!

      You’re making it harder with extra math for each coin. Excluding the dollars, the H,Q, and D all have the same weight per dollar so just use the total dollars x .715. Try it and you’ll see how easy it is and kick yourself for NEVER doing it this way.
      Plus your way doesn’t account for wear

      I reread your comment and it occurred to me that even using the word “constitutional” is more work. Just say 90% or junk. I mean gold is in the Constitution too but no one say constitutional gold coins. Just say pre-33. I like less steps and efficiency but to each his own

      @@user-pj6nn9mr3n I don't recall ever saying Constitutional Gold, as that doesn't make sense to me. With regard to the rest, I value communicating my intended meaning in a way that is consistent with my own views & values. As such, I choose short-cuts carefully. That's likely why I'm more wordy than most. I rarely, if ever, refer to 90% or Constitutional Silver as "Junk". I understand the meaning, but I don't care for the connotation amongst the uninitiated. Thanks for the feedback.

    • @user-pj6nn9mr3n
      @user-pj6nn9mr3n Місяць тому

      It’s not a shortcut, it’s the way it’s done. It’s like you’ve got to get to the school nearby your house to vote and can take the main thoroughfare but you’ve walked there as a kid using the side streets. So you just drive there the way you’ve always gone and think it’s the same thing. But the more direct route is less turns and stop signs, less wear and tear on the car from all the starts and stops and speed bumps. Sure you got there but it’s not the best way to go
      PS. to account for wear use .0715 for dimes not .0723 and if you can’t break the chains then use the same ratio and come up with the same wear factored in weight for each coin and do it your harder way but at least it’ll be more accurate

  • @user-lh1ss1fp5q

    You are not even close to how to do this. You take the spot price of silver and divide it by the factor of 1.38 for uncirculated silver coins or $1.40 for very slightly worn silver coins or $1.55 for heavily worn silver coins and you know how many troy ounces of silver your coins will net from a refiner. The amount of net troy ounces is then simply compared to spot silver price at the moment you are doing your calculations. You're claiming that silver eagles are easier to compute does not mean that you are making any sense in this video presentation.

  • @user-lh1ss1fp5q
    @user-lh1ss1fp5q 21 день тому

    When dealers are selling silver eagles for premiums of $6 to $14 over spot per coin then you have an inflated price of spot silver which you are paying on every silver eagle and NEVER recover when you sell them back. I like your overall point of view but this presentation is a fugazi that is lost in your fog to me. I keep and use AU/BU quality 90% silver. I simply take spot silver and divide it by $1.38 FV (using AU/BU coins). My calculations always give me a lower premium net cost paid for silver. You never get that low with silver eagles.
