Interesting video. When I took over the gardening business from my dad he had the older 2005 hayters (couple 56s and 48) with the bag shoot across the whole mower. Fantastic mowers. I’ve recently bought the 2019 hayter 56 and 48 pro. Also do a great job in my opinion. Sounds like I dodged a bullet with the hayter mowers in between that time. 👍
Cheers ...yes a good few years back I had hayters and the shute was as wide as the mower.....think they needed to give their heads a wobble for changing that design 🤔
@@andrewkensett5863 absolutely 👍👍ive said it before and ill say it again.....the people "in the office" who " design" all these tools and machines....DONT USE THEM .....they are designers NOT gardeners 👌👌
That was a very good point you made about the Hayter machines. Another reason they may have changed is because sales had slowed, folks were just maintaining their old machine and not purchasing brand new product. I did laugh though! 😀😌😜
hayter were always a lawn mower that needed working on and fixing to make it work but what made it worse was when briggs and Stratton stoped making the bottom plate drive so they had to come up with a different idea tpo drive them
Really like the way you put your opinion over , and they look 👀 really nice mowers. I have the Mountfield SP 555 rv 21inch which does not have the blade brake , but that is easily seen to with my Velcro strip LOL 😂 when emptying the grass bag. Its identical to your Stiga who owns Mountfield anyway , I waited for them to iron out the niggles with the drive gearbox before buying it , and mines has an easy life compared to yours I would say it’s ideal for heavy domestic use , but don’t know how it will hold up with you professional guys. Great comparison video Sir 👍 Tam.
Hi Lee looking forward to tomorrows upload. Came across an old video of yours regarding the stiga rear roller, do you still have it and what's your thoughts on it now? Barry.
Do you use roller mowers on all your lawns most of mine are rough lawns, I did purchase a pro 41 but sold it only used it twice too nice to ruin it. Got 2 Honda isy 18 21"
Lee Test the LAWNFLIGHT PRO HRS 553 roller mower they are fan assisted. After using it you will never use another mower again they are fantastic piece of kit
We’ve used the The Honda HRH 536 hayter pro that we’ve just got rid of cause it was a nightmare would never pick up on on wet grass hand was for ever up the grass shoot Unblocking it. By far the LAWNFLGHT PRO is the best of the best in my opinion ⚒⚒⚒
Hi my name is Dave, I’ve been doing lawn care for about 17 years on domestic lawns. I have owned Haytors, Honda’s and lawnflights, all pro models. The Haytors I find to be lovely to operate but only on short dry lawns, anything wet or long and they struggle to throw into the bag, the shute is just too long. The lawnflight pro 553, cuts nice I was using it today, but it’s heavy to manoeuvre and I don’t like the one sided handle that engages the blade. The mower I always go to is the Honda hrd 536 it’s easy to manoeuvre around and collects better than any other mowers I’ve owned. Even though the lawnflight is fan assisted it still doesn’t collect like a Honda.

Nice review Lee. Seems fair to both machinces I've always had hondas bulletproof engines but never had 1 with roller. The 21inch honda with roller is 1500 Hence looking around for quality but cheaper alternatives.. stiga maybe b the 1.
WOW..I hope it has or I'm going to look a nana 🤣🤣🤣🤣.,It definitely looked like it did ?? well I'll check but if It dosnt then that will explain why they felt the same🤔
Lol my bad I was under the impression that the older models didn't have split rollers.😁 I supose this is what happens when you listen to the dealer that's trying to sell you a new model and try to play down the older ones
Lincs fencing and gardening services well always do research 👍. 56 has always had a split roller. The 48 hasn’t as far as I know but the current ones I reckon they can be. The new ones are definitely a split roller

I’m looking at buying the new hayter 48 pro. What mower would you recommend for this price range?
both mowers did a amazing jobs !! thanks for sharing
glad you enjoyed it 😁😁👍
Do you use the same size mower on every lawn also would you buy secondhand or new I'll let you get on now mate.
I have a hayter and a small Honda roller mower, hayter gives a nice cut, but Honda is easier to use

blade choice and blade rpm made a huge difference. not sure what these have.

I can't comment because days after this video I had the Honda fixed so put the stiga in my unit...sold it a few months back
Don't know which one the new harrier pro 48 or 56
My bet is for the Stig :)
