Why Scratch NEEDS the Animated text extension

- In this video I explain why I think the scratch team should add the animted text extension to scratch.

I agree! Having a text engine would greatly improve the QoL of Scratch! (Also, text engines take up clones which are limited to only 300, or if you're using pen, then it can't be displayed in front of actual sprites...)
and pen text engines are insanely low quality in fullscreen
Yeah but you can make text engines and use turbowarp, or have pixelated text

@@SPARTonScratch yes, but it's not the most extension needed, scratch needs mostly extensions that you can't make in scratch

If they add the extension there will still some uses for text engine because the extension does not let you have custom fonts!
Good point, that means that the extension would not make text engines redundant, but it would be a massive help for people who don't want custom fonts.

I personally thought it was useless because of the 4 options being better but I saw this and changed my mind.

It's kinda pointless you can make animated text without this extension
but it takes time to make the code, the extension is very simple and is time saving
