Amphibia is criminally underrated, it’s amazing how it got overshadowed by the Owl house

It seems like just yesterday; Anne finally noticed the leaves in her hair after being in Amphibia for 3 months while taking many selfies

And also the fact that she showers in Reunited, only for her hair to get more leaves the very next scene she's in.
@@toon4thought I've come to a headcanon on the twig and leaves. Any time Anne lets her hair go back to its natural state, she manages to walk into or past something that immediately puts more leaves and twigs back in. It might even explain how she had them in one flashback scene in school.
What bothers me to no end is that despite having had different shoes in multiple episodes, she has to be voluntarily choosing to stick with wearing the one she came into Amphibia with and just wearing a sock on the other foot. This despite the fact that she mentioned needing to get new shoes in like the second or third episode.
@@Pooglian maybe she's more comfortable fighting and adventuring with just one shoe. That's my theory anyway.
Amphibia and the Owl House are two of the best cartoons in this generation. Season 2 of Amphibia is incredible so far and does the great stuff season 1 did but better!

It'll be interesting to see Why Sasha has a such need for control even towards her friends who she genuinely cares about.

Sasha's parents are probably abusive, and why she takes Anne away from her own parents in the first place.
It's not control for the sake of control. It's control out of misguided love, born from bad parenting.
@@watertommyz That's my theory as well. The way she just dismisses Anne's parents and their birthday plans in order to get Anne to hang out with her. It's like she doesn't want to go home, and she doesn't care about school much either.
As you said, maybe she has a rough home life or bad parents, which might make her act a bit toxic in order to keep the friends she cares about from leaving her.
We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm glad you're doing whatever you can to get more people watching Amphibia, because it deserves more recognition than it gets, particularly when compared to a more talked-about show like The Owl House (no disrespect to The Owl House, I fucking love that show).

Amphibia isn’t just building up the characters well and weaving a really cool story together. It’s also freaking hilarious!! All their little expressions and vocal comedic timing is so good! Like when Sprig drinks coffee in Newtopia! HILARIOUS!!

one of the best decisions I made was being hooked into watching Amphibia by seeing some scenes from Reunion (Season 1 finale) but still choosing to go through the entire season up till there. no regrets, I love how they sneak in character development across these episodic plots and the world building is crazy!
The most ironic part is that I am in love with this show but DEATHLY AFRAID of frogs

i’m just IN LOVE with Amphibia. i’ve watched the show since day 1 and it’s so unfortunate how underrated the show is. i feel that more people are actually finding out it exists. the show is definitely going up from what i can see. it’s such a charming and funny show and while it may look weird because it’s about *tAlKiNg FrOgS*, it’s definitely a good show with a really interesting story, well-thought out characters, and dark humor >:D. it also made me cry when i saw Reunion. HEARTFELT MOMENTS YALL!

Yeah, the talking frogs put me off for a while, considering id only watched one children's cartoon before, I was like "is this going too far into being childish for a 17 year old?"
Then I decided to watch it, and its so good and I'm so glad, and honestly, who cares about being childish?

Funny how some of the people who say this were once those who labeled her as a possible back-stabber/traitor. But after everything we've seen about Marcy; her quirkiness, her nerdy passions, her klutziness and even her anxiety...can we REALLY still call her that?

While you make a good point, the difference between them is information. We knew nothing about Marcy until Marcy at the gates and the only comparison to her was Sasha so it makes sense why people would distrust her. But with Andrias, we have the chess scene and when he gives Marcy a proposition at the end of the episode. These scenes were made ominous on purpose so it’s obvious why people would obviously think of him as a bad guy

It seems that people don't label those that have anxiety and are clumsy as a bad guy..its just like how if you told someone you had autism or social anxiety or adhd. Just any disability or mental illness like depression then you would have a bunch of people thinking you couldn't do harm

Theory: I don't think Spring's mom passed away but I think she got teleported to another world by that calamity box. That's why Hop Pop hides it thinking it could harm someone in the family again.
I don’t expect Amphibia, or The Owl House for that matter, to be the next Steven Universe. But after that mid season finale, it’s certainly a step in the right direction for an awesome cartoon.
Honestly, I don't want either show to be the next Steven Universe. I love Steven Universe, but these shows deserve to stand on their own, which they have up to now.
Toon4Thought I completely agree. It’s just that TOH’s fandom is greater than Amphibia’s, and I feel that’s because said fandom basically came from SU, what with the LGBTQ rep and such. To that end, I’m hoping Amphibia continues to deliver; to be on level ground with TOH.

anne’s halloween costume in an official peace of artwork is frisk, so I HOPE that she dresses as frisk in the halloween episode.
As a neurodivergent person (particularly autism and ADHD) I LOVE Marcy. Most of my life I was patronized and treated as incapable and sort of led around like Marcy was, up until recently when I really found myself and embraced my strengths and asserted myself as worthy of respect. It was so cool to see Marcy do the same thing in Marcy at the gates and watch her flourish in an environment that actually works for her. Also her gushing about her fandoms and getting lost in fantasy worlds? Incredible. Absolutely superb. Marcy is best girl fight me

I have a feeling that in the future, the suspicion island episode, will come to play in the future. Since it showed how, when crap goes down, he confesses. I have a feeling that in the future something will go down about the calamity box. And hop pop will have to confess. Similar to how he did in the suspicion island episode.

A theory I have is that the robots were probably used for battles mainly the monster we see at the end of the opening. So after the beast was defeat the robots were deactivated and production stopped with the factory’s forgotten.
Basically 15:42 Amphibia is like Divergent but with Frogs,Toads, and Newts. Make sense. The Owl House is like Harry Potter and Gravity Falls Is Supernatural with kids. Even Regular Show kind of animation version of Clerks meet Pineapple Express.
*1:52* Exactly. Amphibia literally subverts your expectations in the best way humanely imaginable. At first glance it's a seemingly ''Kids Cartoon'' about a teenage girl befriending a pink frog, but it goes so much deeper then that!
*4:55* Also, I guess this is what Amphibia wanted everyone to think. This makes the huge twist at the end of Season 2 that much more surprising and absolutely mind-blowing.
This show is incrediable. I hopped on it about half way through season one, and I love it. Sasha is very underrated among the three girls.

I was actually watching tv the day amphibias first episode was released and I IMMEDIATELY loved it and tried to watch every episode from there it’s such an underrated show and needs more attention

Ok but if you look closely at 1:33 it almost looks like Anne powers up her sword, it goes from silver like Sasha’s (odd she doesn’t have her usual pink sword) to blue in the time it takes Sasha to reach her and land a blow, which makes me think it’s either not a new thing to Anne at that point, or that it’s a natural reaction, an automatic defense mechanism that she doesn’t have to use, it just happens. Either way I would love to see a theory video about this. Keep up the good work :)
I hope after everybody watch this video they will give Amphibia a chance because it’s a great show
The Owl House and Amphibia are setting up this decade to continue the 'Kids cartoons can tell good stories' legacy that the 2010's started. I really hope the various executives and companies don't drop the ball.
Amphibia is the best show i have lots of favorite shows but this one stands out to me the most. If i had to live in kipo owl house hilda or steven universe or amphibia i would pick amphibia. It has lots of calming backgrounds with great great characters. I'd probably be exploring TILL THE DAY I DIEEE
At first the show was fine, as you said Anne takes some...getting use to. But her character development is season 1 and the development of all the planters was well done. Season 1 had plenty to give but didn't floor me, season 2 was more interesting as we got to see the world outside of the valley and see some more development of all the characters. I was slowly getting more and more invested in the show, and the Hopping Mall... Wow. I teared up. And I don't usually for any media! The way it was done was just right. And that's all I'm saying cause spoilers!
The other bit that has impressed me, in this show and its sister in The Owl House, is that animation. Wow do I love the animation that has come out of these shows! Especially in the fight scenes! We haven't gotten many in Amphibia yet, but when they show up I am really impressed and love it. I actually rewatched the Season 1 Finally fight scene a couple times just to see how fluid and smooth it ran. This is one show that at a glance doesn't seem like much, but it has a lot to offer! This is probably too much. Oh well.

Probably why I kinda like this show. I mean it’s not my TOP favorites (Gravity Falls, Rick and Morty, South Park)....but as a show that at first I thought would be stupid/too childish with a frog world...they have really brought out human aspects (and well...humans!) to keep the plot active. So yeah I really enjoy it.
Honestly...it’s better than Owl House. And I’m not saying I’m technically disappointed with OHOWL but I just thought the story line would be a bit more character building instead of random magic and action. This show (Amphibia) IS character building currently.
Why do you think Marcy has autism? I have autism and I don’t really see it in her. I think she’s more ADHD too.
When I was young I enjoyed collecting those old froggy books and I think that had alot to do with me getting into this show at first watch.

So...here is how I got into amphipa when it first came out I thought it was some weird random disney cartoon I listened to the theme song and I said to myself I would watch this show in the near future and I did amazing show!!!
I also saw the them song and decided to watch it. It reminded me of gravity falls and I knew it would be good.
Thank you Roundtable for getting me to watch this I’ve been a fan of gravity falls and waiting for a show to make a good storyline and good show I only watched owl house but then u introduced me to this and been following this since mid season 1
You know that I think about it. I think they got warped to those specific places on purpose. Notice how each of them was able to thrive in those respective environments. Had they gone anywhere else I don't think they'd be able to survive or fulfill their destiny whatever that is.
Can't stop loving this show's comedy and lore. Plus the openings a banger, gotta be my fav Disney toon even though TOH is lit too.

I just have this nagging feeling that sprig’s mom learned that either king andres or the unnamed toad was using the calamity box for an evil purpose and sacrificed herself in a similar way to glimmer’s mom sealing herself off in another world to save her own. Which is why the calamity box was left in the human world.

Why people need to watch Amphibia:
Hop Pop *sees that he's become the face of a rebellion* "Well the picture looks good. I'M GONNA DIE!!!"
At first, I wasn't a fan of Amphibia. I didn't think it would become anything other than episodic and fun.
But then, Marci showed up.
I already loved Anne and Sasha, but Marci? Best character by far! Her humor is perfect, her personality is so perfect and I can't wait for her to be further fleshed out, and the lore of the show went from almost nothing to so much to talk about! Getting home, the calamity box powers, what does hop pop know about it that he's not saying? A new potential villain and all of the mystery behind him..
When Marci showed up, the show that I didn't enjoy at first all started to come together and blow me away. I can't wait for season 2B!
I got a theory what if sprig's mom died because of King adridas? What if the king had the power of all the three gems from each temple went crazy with the power couldn't control it & he killed his friend a.k.a sprig's mom he turned his other friend the frog (now known as the robot) into what he looks like now because of the power from the calamity box.
Theory 2: Marcy said in the episode Marcy at the gates that sprig did not looked like a normal frog. Which in my opinion from my interpretation that he is a different species of amphibian & that he might have pure Royal blood. King adradis try to steal the powers from the calamity box to overthrow the queen of Newtopia which is sprig's mom.

Found Amphibia thru Owl House and admittedly wasnt a fan of it in the early episodes but kept pushing through because i kept hearing it was amazing amd it was! For some reason I really really enjoy the episodes were its more about Anne interacting with other frogs like that episode with Wally.

I don't know about anybody else but I think a show that AwestruckVox should make theories on is Meta Runner. It's great, Season 2 is about to come out, so I think it's the right time to get into the series and start making theories.
I know how that is because the fact is that I'm stuck in Kentucky and I was going for animation still want to do animation but right now I'm having to settle for a degree that is not exactly what I want but do the time to covid-19 and other reasons of having to settle for it mainly Financial but I'm getting my welding certificate that way I can be able to make my own money and eventually I will pursue my art career at a different Crossroads and I'm thinking about starting up my company called last whisper art but sadly were I'm in Kentucky what you say fly by state there is no animation places here for me to be able to con job so I have to move out of state but we need to see what things are in store thinking about starting my own comic

Now I’m not sure if anyone in the Amphibia community has brought this up but I’m gonna put it out there
So, in season 2, episode 12 “The Sleepover to End All Sleepovers” we see a painting of Newt King Andreas, a pink frog with blond hair wearing a hat resembling sprigs. But we also see a toad in the painting, now if we go back to episode 7 of season 1 “Anne VS. Wild” in the book that we see Hop Pop look through we see a skull of what looks to be a toad with the word dangerous over it. What I think is that the skull is a depiction of what happened to the toad in the painting after something happened when they were using the Calamity Box.
How do I watch Disney shows? Like where can I watch them legally

Ey Roundtables, do you think you could make a video theorising Anne's possible death ? Think about it. There's been a lot of references to the death of one of the characters (a dead frog that looked like Hop Hop, Hop Hop standing in front of a grave that said "Forever Hoping", Sasha's comment about the possibility of Marcy geting herself killed, Sasha's gem being missing from that circular thing, Hop Hop giving a ride to the Frog Reaper aka Death itself, Hop Hop killing a person...), but the most curious thing about almost all of these scenes, is that they happened right before or right after Anne did or said something. Besides, in the episode "The Sleepover to end all sleepovers" when the first ghost appears, it appears on Anne's left eye, and when Marcy talks about the possibility of the existence of an Afterlife, Anne is the only one who reacts to it. On the episode "Wax Museum", she was almost turned into a statue, which is the equivalent of a living/temporary death, and on the episode in which she and Sprig talk about their respective mothers, moments before that conversation, Sprig said he had the worst nightmare and tried to talk only to Anne about it right after that. It's as if death followed especially Marcy, Sasha and Hop Hop, but Anne seems to be indirectly connected with their deaths.
I mean yeah but most things happen in this show before or after anne says and/or does something it's possible but I don't think it's very likely
haha its still funny how that one ep where they tried stuff from each world was basically them on acid or magic mushrooms or some type of psychodelic so drugs hahha
