Awesome! Going to have to build this for office desk!
cool idea but some upgrade ideas:
-use black LED ropes without reflecting plastic cover so that you see only the LEDs, not the entire stripe
-also use thinner corners and thinner edges so you dont cover as much of the infinity effect
-try making the led ropes as straight as possible
-also use led ropes with more LEDs/meter so you can add more detail
-use 5 volt LEDs for having one LED with all colors instead of 12V LEDs who usually have 3LEDs as one, for adding colours up. thats usually not a problem but here you want to have as much excact detail as possible
-you dont need to use python anymore to code something like this, use arcNet to manage more LEDs and a mappingsoftware like madmapper, this way you can even make the LEDs reactive to sounds
the bluetooth idea is a great addition tho
That's really cool!
That such a beautiful build & finished piece!
Awesome project and tutorial. Could I know how much time you spend to complete this video tutorial? Start from the idea until you upload this video to UA-cam. Thank you.
👍👍👍
Do you control the controller with a app?

Have any neopixels with a black back?

Hi Guys, I have been working on making one of these from the learn guide. I ordered 1m of the mini skinny led's listed on the parts list and I got a product that looks a lot different from the one you used in this tutorial. What neopixel strip are you using in this video?
it looks like mine has about half the neopixels on the strip that yours does.
apologies we linked the low density strip. we used www.adafruit.com/product/2970 - if you could, email support to exchange it for the correct part :)
Is the clear acrylic mirror link broken?
