Hey brother I just did some testing if you're doing the sorcerer dudes quest and then you get to the second half of freya's quest hunt the rabbits and collect the salve ingredients she won't say anything it'll just say goodbye after I did the sorcerer quest completely I went back and talked to her and now I can continue her quest, the first time i did freya's quest this same problem happened and I was wondering why It happened, so that followed day I got on that morning went and finished liu fia quest and then I said what the hell and I went and talked to Freya and she was ready to continue so let it be known at least on console ps4/ps5

While that could be a solution and is certainly worth a try, we also have heard of players who have not even started Liu Fei's quest and still get bugged in Freya's quest. So at this point we're not sure that it's a coincidence that it gets unstuck when you finish Liu Fei's quest or not. But it's definitely good to hear it worked for you, so everyone with that issue - and who also has Liu Fei's quest active - should at least try to finish it, it might help! 👍

I am only half way through the questline but if not for this guide, I would have never figured all this out. Don't know all my freya's died in level 10 purges back around the end of age of war chapter 4 those meteorite summoner really had it out for my 20 level 20 freya's and dalinsia snow hunters which I had 10 of just started building my purge defense forces back up slowly but surely and its on single player
Thralls are also completely disappearing from my base after I start Freya quest. After removing all clipping anomalies, I have come to the conclusion that Freya interrupts worker thralls path of travel. At first, I saw one of my smelters in a “grey” state( usually meaning he/she is out of range), then I could not view his stats because he “couldn’t be found”. Mind you, I play solo, who also doesn’t have clutter in my base. Heavily disappointed that we wait all this time, day one bugs still present and I don’t want to force rescue the thralls I just put gear/armor on (tried and it wouldn’t even let me rescue). They were even so lazy to remove the previous candles surrounding basins of the caravan traders. Went full blast with my horse to just get launched in the air and almost die. Let’s hold these guys accountable before we promote any more of their content. At the very least, talk about the bugs you experience.
i mean i have ran this quest twice on solo/coop with my friend and we got through both without issue. its very possible he did not run into any bugs when running it.
you must be new to video games. the modern mentality is 'RELEASE NEW CONTENT' then have the player base bug test it for you. this pisses off the fans and saves the company money on playtesters. so... another victory for capitalism!
Waited the first 8 hours to talk to Freya at my base. When I met her back at her camp, all she says is “My blade is heavy, it’s been too long…” . My only option for dialogue is to say “goodbye”. She is stuck in a state of “returning home” 🤦🏾♂️
Where you doing the Liu fia dudes quest at the same time, I think I had this issue but completed his quest then went back and she started to talk to me was able to complete her tryed again happen again I'm also doing the guys quest again my current theory is that there quest clash with each other thus she won't speak too me

After getting the note in Stormwatch (and reading it), and getting back to her, she is still at step 1, so broken. And waiting that many x8 irl hours is stupid, AF Your Guide is 100% Cool as always, sad that the game is so broken, on the + side i found some of my crafters 50 meters up in the air, next to Freya's camp...

freya needs to do the killing blow on large animals to count. i am doing it again as first run i wanted resolute, but did not got it , i thought i did it right, now i am sure i am giving more damage to the largest animals but i need freya to kill them , have nay of you got resolute perk?
I'm stuck at the Volcano step. She says "I'm ready" but the only dialogue option is "Goodbye". I killed the serpent guy down by the forge (it took forever) but she still doesn't start this step of the quest.
So i just did the Hunt the big 4 animals she did her commune at the camp fire and it let me talk to here back at her hut to instantly start the Volcano portion. Solo single player map.

That sucks, but there are indeed more locations, we simply highlighted our preferred route as it's easy to get everything you need like that. I can't remember the other locations right now, but I believe if you go south-east from the Hovel along the foot of the mountains, there should be some as well. Maybe someone else can comment with other locations to help out!
@Pixelcave She didn't find it in the end after killing a load of wolves she said she was tired and went back to her camp. Hope it hasn't messed up the quest...
mission bugged out for me, soon as the last battle started at Nordhof my character became rooted to the spot of the first skirmish while Freya ran off to fight. If I crouched I could move forward and back, but not turn or swing my blade. And I am stuck like that. There is no end to the bug. You'll have to log out and back on.
40 should be fine. Of course some areas might be more dangerous than others at level 40, which means you need to approach things a bit more carefully and slower, but it's doable. Good luck!
Correct, we did it with a Truncheon - the club you use to knock out thralls. There might be alternatives, but using one of these (any type/tier) will work. Haven't tested it with Blunted Arrows or Purple Lotus Orbs, would be interesting to try - in theory anything that deals Concussive Damage should work.
@@Pixelcave Thanks for the fast response. But im still a little bit confused, in the finale fight (have'nt done it yet) you need to KILL someone with that club, but it does no dmg at all. Could you specify it how exactly im supposed to do it for the conscussive weapon perk, i dont mind spoilers.
Ok, so maybe it wasn't too clear from the video as we wanted to avoid spoilers. When you arrive at Nordhof (and clear the camp) there will first be an NPC at the altar and that one will be defeated by Freya (or you, if you want to speed things up). AFTER that, there will be a sequence and a final fight. If you use a concussive weapon like a Truncheon during that final fight, your opponent will simply be knocked out - no damage needed. This concludes the fight and Freya gets the Perk "Knocked Loose". If you use a regular weapon instead, she gets the other Perk. Whether you use the Concussive Weapon or "Deadly Strikes", the opponent in the final fight won't actually die/be killed - it's just how they describe it. What matters is which weapon you choose, so you can get the Perk you want for Freya.
STUPID QUESTION: does the 'do more damage than freya" work if my thralls do more damage or is it my character specific? STUPID QUESTION 2: does 'cuncuss everyone' work if my thralls knock out everyone? or do I have to do it? asking for a friend. am about to start the line and if I remember ill post my results.
Haven't tested it, but I'd say if your thralls do most of the damage it counts as the player - so best to avoid. Regarding the concussive damage - I'd say it should count if your thralls do it, as long as they don't deal any other damage.
@@Pixelcave cant do her quest... she is bugged. we are to hunt rabbits and she says she temporarily is following me but is set to 'guarding' if I wait fo her to follow me a second freya spawns and she too 'temporarily is following me' but both sit there. by the bonfire. i have reset. gone with no companions. reset gone with all companions. reset. gone with liu fei. reset... every time she says she follows me but just stands there. i can hold interact button and the normal thrall options come up. she is level 0 with 1345 health. i cannot have her follow it says 'user name refuses to follow you' I can unbond with her and she drops basic armour. but then she spawns again and... same thing. i can try to move her. 'but thrall placement not allowed here' have logged in as admin and teleported to her... asked her to follow me and teleported away... too bugged to continue.... at least I have a sorcerer that does little to no sorcery....
Not sure what happened, but I ended up pulling a Hjorthrimul off a person or chest somehow before going to meet Freya. I'm running modded, so maybe that's why.
@@Pixelcave BTW, found out after file verification that the mod "Tiny Maproom" was causing the crash trying to sit and had disabled the button to prevent thralls from using certain places

No, because you just had 8h before that. Seems like many have problems with her not showing up at the Forge. Unfortunately - except for being patient and hoping it works later - there's no known fix for that.
I'm stack at step two. after finding two of her three materials and guided her to the final one I was getting zero responce from her as if the metarial was not there for her to see. The worst part was when I returned back in at my home base to grab food and potions, Freya stoped following me, but when I went back at her home to talk to her so she can join me back and resume or restart step 2 of her quest, I was getting zero intication of her following me and she is stack at "returning home' status.
That's so annoying. The "Returning Home" status seems to get a lot of people stuck at various steps of her quest. I think it usually starts working after a while again (being offline, relogging, etc.), but unfortunately there's no easy trick to get her unstuck - wish I could help! Would love to hear if you get her to continue at one point or if it's a permanent issue in your case.
@@Pixelcave Saddly I play at online private server and not in single player. Also Tried logging on/off infront of her and talk to her afterwards but zero results.
Hm, there was a bug during the beta that could cause Companions to not have Perks when you were in a Clan - but they said that would be fixed for the live version. That's the only thing I can think of.
@@Pixelcave Yeah, Ive done the questlines both in and out of a clan now, and neither time do they spawn with perks. Unfortunate, no idea what the problem is.
I was wondering. Once you get Freya. I normally have two thralls and a mount. I'm wondering if you're able to have the two thralls, a mount, and Freya?
Companions count the same as regular Followers/Thralls, so you can have Companions instead of those or in combination, but not in addition. Hope that makes sense!
@@Pixelcave that was a big help. I hope some day they allow one of your thrall on mounts. To keep mounts from running away. That or something to that effect.
@@Pixelcave yeah wolves and most animals are just for looks at this point nearly unless you get those upgraded ones which seems useless. Some mounts like the rhino and elephant should have more storage than thay do now to give more options to the way we spec characters. I think there are plenty of small fixes that be great for quality of life.
Unfortunately on our server we're playing on, someone is built up where that big bar spawns 🙄 so in doing so they have despondent so going through killing a bunch of boars in hopes that one spawns in.
You can take thralls with you, but if you want to go for some of the Perks where your or Freya's actions matter, they might indeed mess it up. If you don't care about which Perks she gets, it shouldn't be a problem, and if you do, simply leave them at home or keep them on passive during the quest steps that matter.
not sure if its just me btw but after you hunt the big animals go back to Freya's bonfire and it might glitch and spawn another freya. if it does spawn another wait for yours to finish the prayer part then talk to the other freya (the new one) and it will let you skip the 8 hours wait time on that one step worth looking to see if it works for you
I have been to Stormwatch, picked up the 2 notes and gone back to Freya but the next step isn't activating, the only dialogue options available are the same ones as when I first met her ??
These 8 hrs RL cooldowns, how do they work? If Freya visits me after 8 hrs passed, but I am not logged on (playing on a server), will that part of the quest be reset, or does she wait for the player? Also, when doing these quests with other clan members on an online server, does only one of us get to do the quest, or does everyone involved get "their own" Freyas?
The part won't reset, she will simply wait - they key is that a minimum of hours must pass so that the next step unlocks, if that makes sense. When exactly you continue after this time has passed, doesn't matter. Regarding the Clan, you can help each other, but as mentioned, each player needs to do the quest individually and talk to Freya (or Liu Fei) to progress. I don't believe you can be together and both get the updates if only one talks to her. However, Companions are shared in a Clan like regular Followers, so if you simply want to get a few Freyas for everyone to use, it doesn't matter who unlocks her.
I went to the Stormwatch camp. Cleared the camp. Grabbed the notes and the gold. Read the notes. But when I go back to Freya, she is still talking about me needing to go to the Stormwatch camp. I've gone 3 times. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
@Pixelcave yes. I exited the game, hopped back into the game, and then went back to Stormwatch and cleared it again. Something in that process triggered it, and I was able to proceed with the quest. Thank you for asking.

The helmet doesn't show when I wore it! I jus see my head as it was without any wear on it!! By any chance, have you guys had an opportunity to try it after the update?
@@paollopiettrobrunoro9979 Yes, we checked the Helmet after the update launched - hence why we comment on it in the video as it was invisible to us as well (the video is based on the launch version, not beta). We also reported it to Funcom right away, so I'm sure they'll fix it soon!

was wondering if someone could help me. im doing freyas quest and i've killed the bears, elks and wolves. i have one more left, the boars, and it seems like its talking forever. freya is doing most of the killing. am i missing something? i've been doing this boar thing for days now. thanks in advance.
For the Boar it needs to be a 1 Skull miniboss. We show the 1 guaranteed spot on the map with the blue B. If you can't get one, then alternatively you can look for regular boars as they also have a chance to spawn as 1 Skull. Just keep killing them and hopefully you get lucky with a 1 Skull respawn (we show the regular boars as small blue dots on the map at 4:48).
No, you simply need to find a 1 Skull miniboss boar, that's the on which will update the quest once killed. The big blue B on the map is a guaranteed spawn.
Hey, im currently thinking about what perk i should rather get, the one with extra 15 vit and strength or the one with bleeding. Experience wise, what would you recommend/ what's stronger?
Hm, tough choice. Personally, we would go for the Bleeding one, but we also haven't really played much after launch to be able and judge how that really plays out during combat - and they buffed Freya overall post Beta. I guess the best would be to try both, get 2 Freyas and see which one works best together with your playstyle.
@@Pixelcave Hey, yea, that's what i thought. for first one now, i did go for the bleeding one, to see, how strong the healing is. I will give you feedback once i have her on 20 and also got annother one with the other perk on 20 for potential future conent, when i don't forget haha.

@@Pixelcave Okay, i've tried it out in Singleplayer and came to this conclusion: The healing on the bleeding enemy is very low, also it seems i've misunderstood the perk, which seems to just provide heal to freya, i've attacked the bleeding enemy and got no healing. When freya attacks, she is'nt healed per hit and after a few attacks, it goes up by 30 hp. 1 Point vitality provides ≈ 37,62 HP, which would be 564.6 bonusHP, so her HP Multiplicator is'nt really high it seems (I calculated this after leveling her and got some extra points in vitality and since i read, that different companions have different bonus HP per Point, i came to this conclussion. calculating strenght bonus, with 43 Points in strenght, she had 17% max. Bonus dmg, which is 0,395 % per points, so we would have a bonus of 5.925%. So the second perk would give Freya a Hp bonus of 564,6 HP and a dmg bonus of 5.925%, which both is'nt really high and i don't think its impact is that high. i've read in the wiki that per stack of bleeding, you get arround 1.1 dmg (rounded) which is 27 bleeding dmg per second on 20 stacks, and it also completely ignores Armor. So i would say, that the bleeding perk seems to be overall better damage-wise, because this 6% is'nt really high. Im not 100% sure, if my calculations are correct, but since i've calculated the numbers based on my ingame health and max dmg bonus % and the hp and dmg gained per point after leveling her, i don't see why they should be incorrect. I will probably farm annother Freya to see, if the HP per point increases based on how high the vitality is (eg. 10 -> 11 vit = 20HP, 11 -> 12 vit = 21 HP), or, if it increases % wise, which will also result in a higher HP, although i've looked into the wiki and could'nt really find anything like it, and will correct this comment or just verify that my calculations are, as is, true. Right now, based on my calc, i would recommend the bleeding one. for the other perks, i would probably recommend Savage swings (attacks cannot be blocked). While there are not many NPC's i know of, that are actually blocking, the other one don't seem very useful to me, since, in my experience, my companions never really got that low (exception is against the arena champion) and only 5 seconds to call back or kill someone.. I dont know about that. Especially because we can now just revive them with.. 50% HP I think? and that unlimited times (as long as they don't die 3 times in a row), also, savage swings is better in PVP, when you have'nt skilled strenght and you're fighting against someone with a shield. To the third one, i can't say very much, since i have'nt tried out and don't know the healing amount, but on paper, 20% armor pirce AND longer staggers seem better on Paper. Cheers!
She waits slightly north of Nordhof. I missed her almost when looking for her the first time as I expected her to be closer, but I guess this is to avoid aggroing anything prematurely.
Correct, the easiest is to use a Truncheon to knock your opponent out. The outcome will be the same (nobody really dies, even when using a proper weapon), but you get the other Perk when choosing a concussive "weapon".
You simply need to make rounds where all the regular boars are, any of those has a chance to spawn as 1 skull. Annoying, but not impossible. We show where to find the regular boars with the small blue dots. Kill any regular and recheck once spawned - good luck!
@@Pixelcave I had to do this on one of the servers I play on. what should have been a 30second boar kill turned into 3 1/2 hours hunting all the area boars until one spawned as a greater. Cheers.

My game won't let me progress beyond Stormwatch. I have visited the camp three times, grabbed the journal, and gone back to Freya, only for her to keep sending me back to Stormwatch. It won't let me show her any proof. Is there something wrong with the cache or what? It's annoying because I really want to see if this story is worth it.

I was doing the freya wolf hunt gathering part of the quests and .. i died... now feeya has re-appeared as a dialogue npc at her campfire and wont follow me anymore to do the quest, any ideas?
Sadly no. Seems others experience quest blocking issues on the many other quest steps as well. The only advice I can give is to wait and see if it works again after a (longer) while. If it doesn't solve itself, then the devs really have a lot to fix.
I run a dedicated server for some friends and both of them want Freya. Can the progress the questline at the same time or does one have to recruit her and then the other?
It should be possible for all of you to start and do the quest, independently from each other. At least that's what they said. You can also help each other, but in order to get Freya, all of you have to complete the steps yourself.
I would think so. We did it on our dedicated server just after the update came out, and I would say it should be the same on a public server. There simply seem to be many chances for it to get bugged, so it's a question of luck. There should be a first hotfix next week if you want to wait a bit more.
I guess you are at the step to meet her at the Forge? If she asked you to meet her there, she should be there, just atop the stairs leading to the Forge. The 8 hour timer was before that step, and there will be another one after the fight there.

I ended up breaking, the game so hard by accident trying to get Her I have to literally, start a new game inorder to successfully, get her as a companion, I don't know what I did, But broke it so hard that after I got her, husband and I returned him, She would not even acknowledge that he was there, It was as if he was invisible and she would repeat, Did you find anything over it over again
Hiho Hunterkiller... If you play on PC, you can roleback your save - basically turn back time. Your drive:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved -> the game.db is the crucial file... and as you can see in the folder, there are some game_backup_xx.db Compare the date and time, rename the appropriate file to game.db and replace the corrupted one. I'm confused about what the confusion is. Once you talk to her after she rested for 8h - no matter if at your or her place, she will tell you to meet her at the Forge. There's no additional 8h wait. So if she tells you to meet her at the Forge and she isn't there, then there's clearly an issue somewhere.

Awww, didn't expect people to not watch a bit more for this segment, but that's good feedback! I think we generally show the Perks for all other steps (and Liu Fei) a bit more timely. We also added timestamps for the Perks, but yes, easy to miss - noted for next time.
You mean you are at Nordhof but she isn't there to meet you? Had trouble at first too, but I realized she was just standing a bit further away from Nordhof, not in my line of sight, so I found her eventually.
Ok, yeah, that's annoying. Seems to happen quite often, seen reports from others on various of her quest steps. Usually it frees up after a while, but personally I have no idea what's best to do in this case. Fingers crossed she won't be in limbo for long!
I am loosing my mind, I have been stuck for 3 hours at the step where you have to make a campfire. I made one, later made a bonfire, nothing, no reaction from her. I then went to her bonfire at her house, nothing. When I talk to her she just says "I need a campfire...." Am I doing something wrong?
Player: Am I doing something wrong? Funcom: It's not you, it's me! Jokes aside, I don't think there's anything you can do but hope that she gets unstuck. Worth checking if you're in creative mode, relog, etc. - but if not it's a bug.
So, how are you supposed to let Freya get defeated in the volcano fight for the Unrelenting perk, when she has Infinite HP? I spent ten minutes making her walk away from the demons so they could continually attack her without being killed and she never went down. I am sure her HP is infinite at that point as it also seems to be at some other points in the quest.
We also had issues during the beta, but we managed to have her lose HP in the live update. What worked best for us, is getting her cornered in the Forge area, as that seems to get her stuck sometimes, and she definitely lost HP.

That is so bizarre, tried it after launch and it worked fine. Seems there are more and more bugs creeping up. Let us know if/when you got it to work - I guess you tried relogging or zoning out/in of the area already.
@@Pixelcave Eventually she started praying at her bonfire. Was actually with her earlier approaching a boss wolf that had just appeared and one of my crafting thralls fell out of the sky. Killed the wolf and thrall ran a ways and disappeared...
@@Pixelcave Well, the thrall stuff is now a known bug. People on official servers are gradually losing their crafting thralls, with them teleporting to 0,0,0 (sw of Freya's hut) and then later falling and getting killed by mobs

Hey so just to let you guys know you don't have to wait 8 hours. Just skip time ahead on your console. Literally go into your settings and move the timer forward 8 hours.

I get it, it's annoying, but since there's not much else new content, it doesn't really matter if you have the Companion right away or over a couple of days. Unless you want to raise and army, or they die constantly of course.

Hey brother I just did some testing if you're doing the sorcerer dudes quest and then you get to the second half of freya's quest hunt the rabbits and collect the salve ingredients she won't say anything it'll just say goodbye after I did the sorcerer quest completely I went back and talked to her and now I can continue her quest, the first time i did freya's quest this same problem happened and I was wondering why It happened, so that followed day I got on that morning went and finished liu fia quest and then I said what the hell and I went and talked to Freya and she was ready to continue so let it be known at least on console ps4/ps5

While that could be a solution and is certainly worth a try, we also have heard of players who have not even started Liu Fei's quest and still get bugged in Freya's quest. So at this point we're not sure that it's a coincidence that it gets unstuck when you finish Liu Fei's quest or not. But it's definitely good to hear it worked for you, so everyone with that issue - and who also has Liu Fei's quest active - should at least try to finish it, it might help! 👍

Don't know all my freya's died in level 10 purges back around the end of age of war chapter 4 those meteorite summoner really had it out for my 20 level 20 freya's and dalinsia snow hunters which I had 10 of just started building my purge defense forces back up slowly but surely and its on single player

Thralls are also completely disappearing from my base after I start Freya quest. After removing all clipping anomalies, I have come to the conclusion that Freya interrupts worker thralls path of travel. At first, I saw one of my smelters in a “grey” state( usually meaning he/she is out of range), then I could not view his stats because he “couldn’t be found”. Mind you, I play solo, who also doesn’t have clutter in my base. Heavily disappointed that we wait all this time, day one bugs still present and I don’t want to force rescue the thralls I just put gear/armor on (tried and it wouldn’t even let me rescue). They were even so lazy to remove the previous candles surrounding basins of the caravan traders. Went full blast with my horse to just get launched in the air and almost die. Let’s hold these guys accountable before we promote any more of their content. At the very least, talk about the bugs you experience.
i mean i have ran this quest twice on solo/coop with my friend and we got through both without issue. its very possible he did not run into any bugs when running it.
you must be new to video games. the modern mentality is 'RELEASE NEW CONTENT' then have the player base bug test it for you. this pisses off the fans and saves the company money on playtesters.

Waited the first 8 hours to talk to Freya at my base. When I met her back at her camp, all she says is “My blade is heavy, it’s been too long…” . My only option for dialogue is to say “goodbye”. She is stuck in a state of “returning home” 🤦🏾♂️

Where you doing the Liu fia dudes quest at the same time, I think I had this issue but completed his quest then went back and she started to talk to me was able to complete her tryed again happen again I'm also doing the guys quest again my current theory is that there quest clash with each other thus she won't speak too me

After getting the note in Stormwatch (and reading it), and getting back to her, she is still at step 1, so broken. And waiting that many x8 irl hours is stupid, AF Your Guide is 100% Cool as always, sad that the game is so broken, on the + side i found some of my crafters 50 meters up in the air, next to Freya's camp...

freya needs to do the killing blow on large animals to count. i am doing it again as first run i wanted resolute, but did not got it , i thought i did it right, now i am sure i am giving more damage to the largest animals but i need freya to kill them , have nay of you got resolute perk?
I'm stuck at the Volcano step. She says "I'm ready" but the only dialogue option is "Goodbye". I killed the serpent guy down by the forge (it took forever) but she still doesn't start this step of the quest.

So i just did the Hunt the big 4 animals she did her commune at the camp fire and it let me talk to here back at her hut to instantly start the Volcano portion. Solo single player map.

That sucks, but there are indeed more locations, we simply highlighted our preferred route as it's easy to get everything you need like that. I can't remember the other locations right now, but I believe if you go south-east from the Hovel along the foot of the mountains, there should be some as well. Maybe someone else can comment with other locations to help out!

mission bugged out for me, soon as the last battle started at Nordhof my character became rooted to the spot of the first skirmish while Freya ran off to fight. If I crouched I could move forward and back, but not turn or swing my blade. And I am stuck like that. There is no end to the bug. You'll have to log out and back on.
So very new to the game, and was wondering what lvl I should be before trying to visit Freya (just hit lvl 40)
40 should be fine. Of course some areas might be more dangerous than others at level 40, which means you need to approach things a bit more carefully and slower, but it's doable. Good luck!

To make sure, with concussive weapon, you mean these clubs, which you use to get companions?
Correct, we did it with a Truncheon - the club you use to knock out thralls. There might be alternatives, but using one of these (any type/tier) will work. Haven't tested it with Blunted Arrows or Purple Lotus Orbs, would be interesting to try - in theory anything that deals Concussive Damage should work.

Ok, so maybe it wasn't too clear from the video as we wanted to avoid spoilers. When you arrive at Nordhof (and clear the camp) there will first be an NPC at the altar and that one will be defeated by Freya (or you, if you want to speed things up). AFTER that, there will be a sequence and a final fight. If you use a concussive weapon like a Truncheon during that final fight, your opponent will simply be knocked out - no damage needed. This concludes the fight and Freya gets the Perk "Knocked Loose". If you use a regular weapon instead, she gets the other Perk. Whether you use the Concussive Weapon or "Deadly Strikes", the opponent in the final fight won't actually die/be killed - it's just how they describe it. What matters is which weapon you choose, so you can get the Perk you want for Freya.

Haven't tested it, but I'd say if your thralls do most of the damage it counts as the player - so best to avoid. Regarding the concussive damage - I'd say it should count if your thralls do it, as long as they don't deal any other damage.

@@Pixelcave cant do her quest... she is bugged. we are to hunt rabbits and she says she temporarily is following me but is set to 'guarding' if I wait fo her to follow me a second freya spawns and she too 'temporarily is following me' but both sit there. by the bonfire. i have reset. gone with no companions. reset gone with all companions. reset. gone with liu fei. reset... every time she says she follows me but just stands there. i can hold interact button and the normal thrall options come up. she is level 0 with 1345 health. i cannot have her follow it says 'user name refuses to follow you' I can unbond with her and she drops basic armour. but then she spawns again and... same thing. i can try to move her. 'but thrall placement not allowed here'
have logged in as admin and teleported to her... asked her to follow me and teleported away...
too bugged to continue....
at least I have a sorcerer that does little to no sorcery....
Not sure what happened, but I ended up pulling a Hjorthrimul off a person or chest somehow before going to meet Freya. I'm running modded, so maybe that's why.
With this update, anything is possible 😂

No, because you just had 8h before that. Seems like many have problems with her not showing up at the Forge. Unfortunately - except for being patient and hoping it works later - there's no known fix for that.

I'm stack at step two. after finding two of her three materials and guided her to the final one I was getting zero responce from her as if the metarial was not there for her to see. The worst part was when I returned back in at my home base to grab food and potions, Freya stoped following me, but when I went back at her home to talk to her so she can join me back and resume or restart step 2 of her quest, I was getting zero intication of her following me and she is stack at "returning home' status.
That's so annoying. The "Returning Home" status seems to get a lot of people stuck at various steps of her quest. I think it usually starts working after a while again (being offline, relogging, etc.), but unfortunately there's no easy trick to get her unstuck - wish I could help! Would love to hear if you get her to continue at one point or if it's a permanent issue in your case.
@@Pixelcave Saddly I play at online private server and not in single player. Also Tried logging on/off infront of her and talk to her afterwards but zero results.

Completed both this quest chain and the one for the sorcerer, but neither have any perks at all by the end of the quest chain.
Hm, there was a bug during the beta that could cause Companions to not have Perks when you were in a Clan - but they said that would be fixed for the live version. That's the only thing I can think of.
@@Pixelcave Yeah, Ive done the questlines both in and out of a clan now, and neither time do they spawn with perks. Unfortunate, no idea what the problem is.

I was wondering. Once you get Freya. I normally have two thralls and a mount. I'm wondering if you're able to have the two thralls, a mount, and Freya?
Companions count the same as regular Followers/Thralls, so you can have Companions instead of those or in combination, but not in addition. Hope that makes sense!
@@Pixelcave that was a big help. I hope some day they allow one of your thrall on mounts. To keep mounts from running away. That or something to that effect.
That's an interesting suggestion, but not sure how well this could be implemented. Would be nice to see a pet and mount revamp in general.
@@Pixelcave yeah wolves and most animals are just for looks at this point nearly unless you get those upgraded ones which seems useless.
Some mounts like the rhino and elephant should have more storage than thay do now to give more options to the way we spec characters. I think there are plenty of small fixes that be great for quality of life.
Unfortunately on our server we're playing on, someone is built up where that big bar spawns 🙄 so in doing so they have despondent so going through killing a bunch of boars in hopes that one spawns in.

Can you take your Thrall with you or do you have to leave them at base so as not to mess up the quest?
You can take thralls with you, but if you want to go for some of the Perks where your or Freya's actions matter, they might indeed mess it up. If you don't care about which Perks she gets, it shouldn't be a problem, and if you do, simply leave them at home or keep them on passive during the quest steps that matter.
not sure if its just me btw but after you hunt the big animals go back to Freya's bonfire and it might glitch and spawn another freya. if it does spawn another wait for yours to finish the prayer part then talk to the other freya (the new one) and it will let you skip the 8 hours wait time on that one step worth looking to see if it works for you

People have issues with bugs like this one since the update released, unfortunately there's nothing you can do than wait it out and try again later.

These 8 hrs RL cooldowns, how do they work? If Freya visits me after 8 hrs passed, but I am not logged on (playing on a server), will that part of the quest be reset, or does she wait for the player? Also, when doing these quests with other clan members on an online server, does only one of us get to do the quest, or does everyone involved get "their own" Freyas?
The part won't reset, she will simply wait - they key is that a minimum of hours must pass so that the next step unlocks, if that makes sense. When exactly you continue after this time has passed, doesn't matter. Regarding the Clan, you can help each other, but as mentioned, each player needs to do the quest individually and talk to Freya (or Liu Fei) to progress. I don't believe you can be together and both get the updates if only one talks to her. However, Companions are shared in a Clan like regular Followers, so if you simply want to get a few Freyas for everyone to use, it doesn't matter who unlocks her.
I went to the Stormwatch camp. Cleared the camp. Grabbed the notes and the gold. Read the notes. But when I go back to Freya, she is still talking about me needing to go to the Stormwatch camp. I've gone 3 times. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Did you get it to work now? Seems many people experience issues with her not updating steps right away upon delivery.
@Pixelcave yes. I exited the game, hopped back into the game, and then went back to Stormwatch and cleared it again. Something in that process triggered it, and I was able to proceed with the quest. Thank you for asking.

was wondering if someone could help me. im doing freyas quest and i've killed the bears, elks and wolves. i have one more left, the boars, and it seems like its talking forever. freya is doing most of the killing. am i missing something? i've been doing this boar thing for days now. thanks in advance.
For the Boar it needs to be a 1 Skull miniboss. We show the 1 guaranteed spot on the map with the blue B. If you can't get one, then alternatively you can look for regular boars as they also have a chance to spawn as 1 Skull. Just keep killing them and hopefully you get lucky with a 1 Skull respawn (we show the regular boars as small blue dots on the map at 4:48).

No, you simply need to find a 1 Skull miniboss boar, that's the on which will update the quest once killed. The big blue B on the map is a guaranteed spawn.

Hey, im currently thinking about what perk i should rather get, the one with extra 15 vit and strength or the one with bleeding. Experience wise, what would you recommend/ what's stronger?
Hm, tough choice. Personally, we would go for the Bleeding one, but we also haven't really played much after launch to be able and judge how that really plays out during combat - and they buffed Freya overall post Beta. I guess the best would be to try both, get 2 Freyas and see which one works best together with your playstyle.

@@Pixelcave Okay, i've tried it out in Singleplayer and came to this conclusion: The healing on the bleeding enemy is very low, also it seems i've misunderstood the perk, which seems to just provide heal to freya, i've attacked the bleeding enemy and got no healing. When freya attacks, she is'nt healed per hit and after a few attacks, it goes up by 30 hp. 1 Point vitality provides ≈ 37,62 HP, which would be 564.6 bonusHP, so her HP Multiplicator is'nt really high it seems (I calculated this after leveling her and got some extra points in vitality and since i read, that different companions have different bonus HP per Point, i came to this conclussion. calculating strenght bonus, with 43 Points in strenght, she had 17% max. Bonus dmg, which is 0,395 % per points, so we would have a bonus of 5.925%. So the second perk would give Freya a Hp bonus of 564,6 HP and a dmg bonus of 5.925%, which both is'nt really high and i don't think its impact is that high. i've read in the wiki that per stack of bleeding, you get arround 1.1 dmg (rounded) which is 27 bleeding dmg per second on 20 stacks, and it also completely ignores Armor. So i would say, that the bleeding perk seems to be overall better damage-wise, because this 6% is'nt really high.
Im not 100% sure, if my calculations are correct, but since i've calculated the numbers based on my ingame health and max dmg bonus % and the hp and dmg gained per point after leveling her, i don't see why they should be incorrect. I will probably farm annother Freya to see, if the HP per point increases based on how high the vitality is (eg. 10 -> 11 vit = 20HP, 11 -> 12 vit = 21 HP), or, if it increases % wise, which will also result in a higher HP, although i've looked into the wiki and could'nt really find anything like it, and will correct this comment or just verify that my calculations are, as is, true.
Right now, based on my calc, i would recommend the bleeding one.
for the other perks, i would probably recommend Savage swings (attacks cannot be blocked). While there are not many NPC's i know of, that are actually blocking, the other one don't seem very useful to me, since, in my experience, my companions never really got that low (exception is against the arena champion) and only 5 seconds to call back or kill someone.. I dont know about that. Especially because we can now just revive them with.. 50% HP I think? and that unlimited times (as long as they don't die 3 times in a row), also, savage swings is better in PVP, when you have'nt skilled strenght and you're fighting against someone with a shield.
To the third one, i can't say very much, since i have'nt tried out and don't know the healing amount, but on paper, 20% armor pirce AND longer staggers seem better on Paper.

She waits slightly north of Nordhof. I missed her almost when looking for her the first time as I expected her to be closer, but I guess this is to avoid aggroing anything prematurely.

Correct, the easiest is to use a Truncheon to knock your opponent out. The outcome will be the same (nobody really dies, even when using a proper weapon), but you get the other Perk when choosing a concussive "weapon".

Looks like nobody can have one on the server I'm on, there's a base blocking the one Boar spawn 😢
You simply need to make rounds where all the regular boars are, any of those has a chance to spawn as 1 skull. Annoying, but not impossible. We show where to find the regular boars with the small blue dots. Kill any regular and recheck once spawned - good luck!
@@Pixelcave I had to do this on one of the servers I play on. what should have been a 30second boar kill turned into 3 1/2 hours hunting all the area boars until one spawned as a greater. Cheers.

My game won't let me progress beyond Stormwatch. I have visited the camp three times, grabbed the journal, and gone back to Freya, only for her to keep sending me back to Stormwatch. It won't let me show her any proof. Is there something wrong with the cache or what? It's annoying because I really want to see if this story is worth it.

Any regular boar in the area has a chance to spawn as 1 skull, so you simply need to go around and kill a few and wait for respawns until you get lucky. We show where to find the regular boars with the small blue dots on the map. Good luck!
I was doing the freya wolf hunt gathering part of the quests and .. i died... now feeya has re-appeared as a dialogue npc at her campfire and wont follow me anymore to do the quest, any ideas?
Sadly no. Seems others experience quest blocking issues on the many other quest steps as well. The only advice I can give is to wait and see if it works again after a (longer) while. If it doesn't solve itself, then the devs really have a lot to fix.

I run a dedicated server for some friends and both of them want Freya. Can the progress the questline at the same time or does one have to recruit her and then the other?
It should be possible for all of you to start and do the quest, independently from each other. At least that's what they said. You can also help each other, but in order to get Freya, all of you have to complete the steps yourself.

I would think so. We did it on our dedicated server just after the update came out, and I would say it should be the same on a public server. There simply seem to be many chances for it to get bugged, so it's a question of luck. There should be a first hotfix next week if you want to wait a bit more.

I guess you are at the step to meet her at the Forge? If she asked you to meet her there, she should be there, just atop the stairs leading to the Forge. The 8 hour timer was before that step, and there will be another one after the fight there.
You have to wait 8 hours. She will only appear at the volcano forge if she has been with you at the camp and you have talked to her. It doesn't count if you go to her on the mountain and talk to her. She has to come to you

I ended up breaking, the game so hard by accident trying to get Her I have to literally, start a new game inorder to successfully, get her as a companion, I don't know what I did, But broke it so hard that after I got her, husband and I returned him, She would not even acknowledge that he was there, It was as if he was invisible and she would repeat, Did you find anything over it over again
Hiho Hunterkiller... If you play on PC, you can roleback your save - basically turn back time.
Your drive:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved -> the game.db is the crucial file... and as you can see in the folder, there are some game_backup_xx.db Compare the date and time, rename the appropriate file to game.db and replace the corrupted one. Good luck

No, she should be there. Someone else said the same - that sounds not right, something must be bugged. I guess you tried the usual, logging out/in, going in and out of the Well of Skelos, etc.? Damn....
You have to wait 8 hours. She will only appear at the volcano forge if she has been with you at the camp and you have talked to her. It doesn't count if you go to her on the mountain and talk to her. She has to come to you
I'm confused about what the confusion is. Once you talk to her after she rested for 8h - no matter if at your or her place, she will tell you to meet her at the Forge. There's no additional 8h wait. So if she tells you to meet her at the Forge and she isn't there, then there's clearly an issue somewhere.

@@lanzonamerlions Nope, you can't skip steps or time. And this clearly sounds like a bug. Just out of curiosity, do have started the Liu Fei quest as well?
O man, I wish the perk options were posted before killing all the animals. Killed them, all (after about 40 boars -_-) before I read the perks
Awww, didn't expect people to not watch a bit more for this segment, but that's good feedback! I think we generally show the Perks for all other steps (and Liu Fei) a bit more timely. We also added timestamps for the Perks, but yes, easy to miss - noted for next time.

You mean you are at Nordhof but she isn't there to meet you? Had trouble at first too, but I realized she was just standing a bit further away from Nordhof, not in my line of sight, so I found her eventually.

Ok, yeah, that's annoying. Seems to happen quite often, seen reports from others on various of her quest steps. Usually it frees up after a while, but personally I have no idea what's best to do in this case. Fingers crossed she won't be in limbo for long!

I am loosing my mind, I have been stuck for 3 hours at the step where you have to make a campfire. I made one, later made a bonfire, nothing, no reaction from her. I then went to her bonfire at her house, nothing. When I talk to her she just says "I need a campfire...." Am I doing something wrong?

Jokes aside, I don't think there's anything you can do but hope that she gets unstuck. Worth checking if you're in creative mode, relog, etc. - but if not it's a bug.
So, how are you supposed to let Freya get defeated in the volcano fight for the Unrelenting perk, when she has Infinite HP? I spent ten minutes making her walk away from the demons so they could continually attack her without being killed and she never went down. I am sure her HP is infinite at that point as it also seems to be at some other points in the quest.
We also had issues during the beta, but we managed to have her lose HP in the live update. What worked best for us, is getting her cornered in the Forge area, as that seems to get her stuck sometimes, and she definitely lost HP.

Do you know the command to skip time
Unfortunately these commands have been officially disabled on the live version, hence why we didn't mention them.

Keeps demanding I make or find a campfire. Made a few, also took her back to her bonfire. Lit all but she still wants one.
That is so bizarre, tried it after launch and it worked fine. Seems there are more and more bugs creeping up. Let us know if/when you got it to work - I guess you tried relogging or zoning out/in of the area already.
@@Pixelcave Eventually she started praying at her bonfire. Was actually with her earlier approaching a boss wolf that had just appeared and one of my crafting thralls fell out of the sky. Killed the wolf and thrall ran a ways and disappeared...

@@Pixelcave Well, the thrall stuff is now a known bug. People on official servers are gradually losing their crafting thralls, with them teleporting to 0,0,0 (sw of Freya's hut) and then later falling and getting killed by mobs
Yeah, seen it. Sad. It would have been really nice to see a new Age or Chapter releasing without major, infuriating bugs. Not great, not great at all.

Yes you can, but spawned in Companions have no Perks. You would need to find out which admin console commands to use for that.

You can simply search for Companion and then get all options up, she's the Warrior Companion.

I went to Stormwatch, killed everyone, grabbed all three things on table, read the journal AND the note, went back to Freya. She won't let me turn it in. She Keeps telling me to go to Stormwatch. Has happened to me on two public servers and my private game...

I like figuring things out alone but I’m at the quest where you look for ingredients and hunt with her but she disappeared and I found her glitched out back at her hovel and only displays one line dialogue and I can’t do anything else with her....

They must have patched this, because I have set my PC time days later and can't get around the 8 hour thing.

Hey so just to let you guys know you don't have to wait 8 hours. Just skip time ahead on your console. Literally go into your settings and move the timer forward 8 hours.

I get it, it's annoying, but since there's not much else new content, it doesn't really matter if you have the Companion right away or over a couple of days. Unless you want to raise and army, or they die constantly of course.
