I’ve never tried serum deodorant, does is dry down?

Yes it does try down while exfoliating and brightening the skin. It’s the best I’ve ever tried. I don’t normally use aluminum deodorants. I stopped using deodorant for a long time and was using perfume oils but the brands started innovating the deodorants with out aluminum and I switched.
