    Biturbo = twin scroll turbo.
    It's a (often confusing) terminology used by many car makers in their technical specification materials.
    It means different things to different people
    Volvo uses the same language on their T6 motors, BMW did as well.

      @@MrFredscrap It's not the same mate...Bi turbo means You have physically TWO turbochargers, wheras twinscroll applies only to divided inlet of the turbocharger and differently designed exhaust manifold that pairs the correct cylinders to direct flow into each scroll independently. Insignia OPC has one 19T turbocharger.

      @@k_s.m I'm noting not agreeing, you got a problem with the language car engineers use go talk to them.
      It is what it is as far as the terminology used by manufacturers such as Opel and Volvo. I don't agree with it but that's not the point given both Opel and Volvo had used bi-turbo in their official technical specification material over the years to describe twin scroll turbochargers.
      Hell even BMW uses "bi-turbo" to describe their *single* twin scroll turbo 6 cylinder engines (N55).

      ​@@MrFredscrapand before the n55, the n54 is a bi turbo, the 123d is a bi turbo too, 35d etc Bmw got a way to describe turbos very different from others. Bi turbo from bmw doesn't even work as compound turbos... This insignia's opc are all single turbos T19.

    Is it possible to de-tune this car? It would be good to sacrifice a bit of horsepower for better efficiency. I plan on buying this car, and after some time of having fun with it's 325hp, I'd get it detuned for more fuel efficiency. Is that possible on cars like these?

      In that case I wouldn't go for the opc version get the 2.0T petrol and just remap it smaller engine than opc and better mpg hopefully stage 1 300 bup roughly

      @@leemilica You can find Opel's OPC Line. Kind of the same thing as S-Line for Audi or M-Sport package for BMWs. Most car companies have those packages for people who may not afford the real deal or like in your case, dont need the power.

    1. This is no Bi Turbo !!
    2. Torque at 530Nm .... with automatic...no way. more than 500 nm the Aisin Warner want do for a long time. 500 is almost critical.
    3. 360hp only with luck. The original charger will restrict it by 350hp.

      Then why is Thorney Motorsport running 390 bhp on an ECU remap, bigger intercooler and race exhaust? You don't need to change the Turbo until you're getting to 420-430 bhp.
      Courtenay Motorsport get 360 bhp on merely an ECU remap and front pipe + sports cat. Their map is calibrated for torque rather than power so torque is 550 nm on stock internals.
      Both Thorney and Courtenay have been tuning Insignia VXR/OPC's for over 10 years with no issues.

      @@Jimbo8012 No way You can make 420bhp on stock turbo. Turbo is maxed out at 370-380KM

      Stop spreading these bollocks. Lots of cars running ~600Nm for years without any problems. You read numbers and know nothing out of practice.
