I purchased one for $400 about 2 years ago… Functions 100% of the time.. no screen issues.. a little cosmetic ware on the keys, and a small crack on the back top of the control panel (someone put something heavy on it when it was in the closed position which caused it to bow) Go to the setting and check the is a sleep timer… If you have any of the expansion cards and you’re willing to sell please let me know.
All these Technics Brands end up with Screen and Power faults issues Just be prepared for it in future, Their was a flaw in the manufacturing when making these Keyboards not realized until a couple of decades later. (obviously sourcing cheap Electronic audio parts). it has another flaw a simple faulty pedal can blow up the main board which was a bad design) and has no internal polarity or ESD protection. Left and right channels can produce fuzziness or one channel can become dead even. I serviced two of them so far and trust me its no walk in the park, A technicians nightmare. One cool thing about the Technics they were always one step ahead of Rolland and Yamaha in versatility, but their reliability was an issue, sales plummeted and they had to end the KN Series or stop making arrangers altogether, Yamaha Make Superior Arrangers and still do to this day. You can also see the panels, lights, buttons and plastic got cheaper as they progresses into the later series, hoping to squeeze out more money, doesn't work like that in the music industry, musicians aren't dumb.
