Sounds fantastic thank you for pointing me to this video. I hope you make another one perhaps demonstrating a bit more of the Latin & Ballad / Pop styles 👍
Hi Kris, Love all your reviews and comments on these older keyboards.... Especially from the PSR 6700 that I currently purchased myself and repaired...Works great again...
I have a 1200 and a 1500. Amazing instruments. You, sir, are a great demonstrator. Kudos for you sharing. These machines were just the best. Why'd the company fail?
Kris, I wish you recorded this over a mixer, I really wanted to hear this keyboard and compare the sounds against today's arrangers like the Korg PA100 or the Yamaha SX900. I am in the market for an arranger and wonder if I am getting more for my money with this keyboard over some of the new arrangers.
Don't know what you bought, but I have played every Arranger on the market, the KN7000, even today, beats them all! Kris does not really show it off right. I now own several kn7000's, so afraid that I must never be without one in my life.
I had a Technics SK-KN1000 brand new, back in the early '90s. It was good, people liked it when I played. But I didn't like it... I wanted digital piano instead. So I got the CLP-123 Clavinova. I sold the technics, I have the Clavinova to this day, and I am so used to it, that it feels better to me than most digital piano offerings today. I'd of course like the V-Piano, but that's still rather expensive; a beautiful instrument. And of course I like your SK-KN7000. You make every keyboard great by playing ragtimes.
Kris, I think the last Technics arranger keyboards are the KN2400 and 2600 and not the 7000. I've got the 6500 at home since a few days, I really enjoy it, great speaker system for an arranger.
Kris: PS you have to PRESS and HOLD many of the buttons to access additional features. For example, to adust Reverb, Sustain and Music Style Arranger press and hold to change the settings. One Touch Play also has to be held for a couple of seconds.
I used to sell these at the American Music World showrooms in Niles, Forest Park and Naperville IL in the early 2000’s. Was never lucky enough to own one though. This instrument can still hold a candle to the Yamaha PSR arranger keyboards. 😢
kN 7000 is the best keyboard arranger with sequencer and controller. Best in sound quality. Better than Tyros and Genos. so sad, Technics closed shop. Put it in a mixer and you will sound like an authentic showband and orchestra . latest one is the Ketron Event keyboards . sounds like the authentic instruments. I have tried all brands and so far , the above mentioned are the best. play solo on the keyboard and sing. put it on a mixer with a good sound engineer at your side. You’ll be the talk of the town. Guaranteed !
I have just inherited one of these from my father but have no room for it and also, I am a drummer! So sadly, I will be selling it. In the UK. No stand or stool, but it is the sx kn 7000. Any idea how much I should ask for it?
No room for the KN7000? My advice would be to kick out your girlfriend, wife, drum set, or anything, to make space for the Technics. Don't sell it. All you will regret it for the rest of your life like I regret selling a brand new KN1000 in 1994.
Awwwww since my post on this amazing video I had purchased a KN7000 and oh.. my… it’s amazing Kris
Первый музыкант который заметил что с 1993 года когда вышел Technics sx kn- 2000 только yamaha Genos в 2018 году зазвучала подобно качеству Technics .
Wow!!! Amazing machine, definitely Technics they was beyond all companies.thank you Kris for show this just amazed.

I wish Technics will resurrect and make a KN8000 even on a limited basis. And work on to be at Par with Genos. It will be saleable.
I love this keyboard
Hello Kris, many years before the KN7000, in 1984 and then 1986 Yamaha PS-6100 and PSR-6300 had a tilting control panel.
I love all keyboards 🎹 & pianos 🎹
This reminds me of the yamaha psr-6300 flip up arranger, only way more modern. Is this better than the Tyros 1?

If you try the Italian Ketron Event you got the best!
