Wow. first time to see such a clean and well maintained piggery. Thank you for this detailed tour and precious tips, you definitely made me want to do like you. Thank you so much for sharing. I wish you all the best for the future.
Nice farm tour. Thanks. Sir, having used this deep-litter system for about 9 months in your pigsty, how would you assess it in terms of being odour-free...?
Thank you very much for this wonderful information please there is a question that I want to ask you I know that your former pig pen is a concrete pen, this is a new one or you change from concrete to the deep little sister
Thank you for noticing. We currently have 3 pig pens with a 4th under construction. We started experimenting the deep litter system with 1 pen and kept upping until adopting a deep litter system for all our pig pens
What is the recommended height of the walls from the pit to the point where the nets started? Will it be good to fix tiles on the feeding and water compartments for easier cleaning?
Will get back to you on the recommended height after checking. Yes you can fix tiles there. However, remember that the pig snout is very strong and if not fixed correctly, the pigs will break the tiles
