- THE END OF THE MIDDLE AGE (1273-1453) by Eleanor Constance Lodge (1869-1936) - FULL AudioBook | Greatest AudioBooks - Eleanor Constance Lodge, (1869-1936), was the first woman to receive a Doctorate of Letters from the University of Oxford. In this short survey, the 180 years between 1273 and 1453 are characterized as a period of "transition--a time in which medieval characteristics were decaying and modern characteristics were growing up." This is the age of Joan of Arc, of the recovery of Spain from the Moors, of the failed Crusades of the Teutonic Knights, and of the union of Poland and Lithuania under the strong house of Jagello. The Swiss Republic rose, while schism divided the Papacy and the German states. And all the while the European powers were wrangling among themselves, the Ottoman Turks were advancing across the eastern Mediterranean. The book closes with the fall of Constantinople before the overwhelming assault by land and sea of the great general, Mehmed the Conqueror, which marked the end, after 1500 years, of the Eastern Roman Empire. - Summary by Pamela Nagami

Thank you, I.D.! Pam Nagami
The scholarship is a bit dated, but the writing is unpretentious and moves along at a nice pace. Dr. Pamela N is one of my favorite readers.
You’re right. We’ve made so much progress since this writing. We shall progress till the end.
I need a voice like Simon Prebble, who's voice captivates every word.
Calm and clear narration. I enjoyed it all the way till the end. Thanks
Thank you, Daya! Pamela Nagami, M.D. the narrator
Is it wrong that ai fantasize about doing the naughty naughty with this Narrator?
@@keithholland438 dude that's disgusting
Narration clear and wonderfully soporific.
I realize Im kind of off topic but do anybody know a good place to stream newly released tv shows online ?
Thank you Pamela. I love it when you read.
Thank you, Charles! Pam Nagami, M.D., the narrator
Thankz, Pam. This sure was a trip
Best narrator!
Surprisingly good.
Thank you, Ruben! Pam Nagami
Although I usually don’t care for female readers (especially North American), this reader has a pleasant voice and did a nice job.
Thanks, Ted. The reader.
She is alright but no better. Voice too soft and moves too slow. Better than nothing but not better than the next person.

Well I am put off by all British accents, and Eurotrash English accents, with a brit touch are even worse. Even professional and educational credentials from Europe, and particularly Great Britain, are unreliable. Many of these people have incredibly limited English vocabulary. In both the USA and Canada these credentials in tech areas are NOT accepted on face value any more. Germany, France and Norway are generally exceptions. However, Mexican credentials are more trusted than most Euro credentials.

I really enjoyed this lady's narration.
Thank you very much, causalfunnel sequence! Pam Nagami
@@lfarquhar8081 You are my favorite reader. Thank you.
Biography of author is like an overly long Twilight Zone story
is there a prequel to this?
Can’t stand speaker ugh
A pretty awful reading of a not so we'll put together book. Perhaps the preface to the book was right; this period is too hard to tell as a whole.
Hi
Hi
too bad this is over 8 hours of half truths
Really? Too bad you are such a nasty fool.
Her accent is forced & strange.
The reader is awful, one example is her pronunciation of Luxembourg, saying looks on borg.
And she mispronounced the word "lived"
That's pretty pathetic. If there was a sound guy, I'm sure he was cringing.
Robotic drone, absolute pish..
Computer generated atrocity
