- This is a model of a Briggs and Stratton 5 horsepower horizontal shaft gasoline engine. It features a piston, valves, realistic details, removable parts for display, and a light that acts as a spark plug!
This is the first of its kind on UA-cam! No one else has a video like this!
This model contains a whopping 635 parts! That's a lot of Lego!

Bricks & Stratton
🤣
or Bricks and Instruction?
No more like breaks and scrap em. According to the famous words of tarryl.
The stroke and cams are ligned up, the light looks so good through the port, it sounds like my riding mower, even in brick form engines sound like engines, amazing work
Ok this needs to be a kit asap!
amazing I have a 2 hp version of the engine, yours sounds good too!
Thanks! I know a lot of people know the look of a Briggs, and I thought the 5 horse would be a good one. And no one else has made one like this.
@@DeltonAdamsLEGO yes that is very true, so far I have not seen any model b&s engines out of lego. It is very unique
@@simgloss that would be a big motorcycle!
Even shakes like a briggs! Nice detail
I never thought of using an illegal building technique for fins! I need to stop thinking legally, because it looks really good on the top…
Actually, according to the Lego community, tiles between studs is not illegal. Tiles are slightly thinner that plates, so they do not create stress. I was really happy to hear this!
This is amazing
Good job 😎👍
Could you make a video on how those valves work?
It's just a camshaft. Nothing too complicated there. No springs or anything
Sick
Wonder if that could be used as a vacuum engine
With enough modifications. But I'm going to make a vacuum engine from scratch.
So no because it is 4 stroke and a vacuum engine is 2 stroke
No, it can also be 4 stroke with poppet valves
@@kingsman-co Al you gotta do is just change the ratio of the cam and the crankshaft to 1:1 then it can be used as a vacuum engine
You are in a video
That's cool bro. I have real ones but I dont have THAT ONE.
Yet.
The engine in this video and I dare you to make that engine run on compressed air and then it becomes an actual working engine
That would be cool, but I don't have a way to really do that for a video
Mi papa tiene una trilladora con ese motor briggs and stratton
Is there anyway you can give a parts list for the engine
In the description, there is a link for instructions. At the very end of the instructions is a part list.
👍👍👍👍
One question what lego motor did you use ?
I believe it's an XL, but I could be wrong. It's been a while and I don't quite remember
@@DeltonAdamsLEGO ok thank you
Does the pull cord work?
No, it's just for decoration
Bro got 5hp from a random number generator lmao
5HP Briggs engines are quite popular! Besides, that's the one I've got irl
@@DeltonAdamsLEGO cool
how does the light work?
There's a crank connected to the end of the camshaft that attaches to a switch
@@DeltonAdamsLEGO thanks i will try and incorporate that into my own briggs and stratton model. My piston also isnt sliding very smoothly and keeps getting caught on the bricks. If you know anything i can do to stop that it'd be great. Thanks.
@@official_meelees try using large panels
@@DeltonAdamsLEGO just checked and i dont have any. Gonna order some though. Thanks for the help, i really appreciate it.
Can it be a vacuum engine
Yes! Proven in this video: ua-cam.com/video/jLimMxUnD9o/v-deo.html
Try starting it with the pull start
It'd break! The pull cord handle is just for looks 👌
@@DeltonAdamsLEGOyes but im sure you could upgrade it to start this way
I've got a real one (450 series)
Nice!
this is not real is fake, it have electric motor👎
It says model engine, not working engine
valves aint realistic
It's not perfect 🤷♂️
