Such an underrated song since a lot of folks might think it's just a 20 second loop but... from the beginning through three loops the guitars wail more every time, and then on the final ~1:08 if you can hear it there is a baroque mirror of the lead guitar that plays counterpoint until they all scream. And that is where it actually loops. I love the SotN soundtrack but for what should be a throwaway track you hear for maybe a minute it is expertly crafted. Yamane Michiru is a top tier composer.
Japanese version: Begone! This world is not yours to belong in! English version (older version): Die monster. You don't belong in this world! English version (current version): Dracula, die now and leave this world. You'll never belong here!
disagree castlevania is kinda a horror game and makes sense to tracks like the prayer exist which i dont like at all but there is exceptions for me like wandering ghosts and lost painting
Michiru Yamane was back-bench on Bloodlines and IIRC this is her first full OST. It is not any wonder that she was roped back in for every Castlevania thereafter. What a pro.
I used to just let the console running to hear the song while I'd do my schoolwork. Then I'd beat the game for the "whatever" time in 3-4 hours. Good days. One day I found out people do it in under 30 mins... wtf.
I remember getting into Castlevania this past year and booting up SOTN like "alright let's see what all the hype was about" and was immediately greeted with this.
"Ok so this is literally like a 3 minute intro to the game. Sort of a 'previously on castlevania' type deal so uh... dont go too hard yeah? Nothing special..." Composer: ....🔥🎹🔥
Now with the dlc in dead cells this alt track is included whenever you walk into Dracula's keep.. but for some reason while you vibing with this banger you're struggling to find the invisible staircase leading to trevor and sylpha's outfits 😂😂
*Richter pushes Dracula's door bell*
Dracula's door bell:
Lmaoo
i don't get it
when you tell the composer that this will only be a small part of the game yet she gave all her heart and soul into it
This is how you start a game with very little needed context
Context is clearly heard from the song. Theres a dire situation that needs to be solved asap.
Everytime the drums drop, I make Ricthter run up the stairs
Sameee
That run animation is so good

I still have no idea why they made the prologue so short.

It was not by my hand that I am once again given /flesh./ I was brought here by.../humans/ who wish to pay /me/ tribute.
Tribute?! You steal men's souls and make them your slaves!
Perhaps the same could be said of all religions.
Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you!
What is a man?! *yeets wineglass* A miserable little pile of secrets! But enough talk...have at you!
Prologue to a miserable pile of secrets
I dunno how someone can listen to this...
And NOT realize that the Castlevania series has the best soundtracks ever!
disagree

They had us in the first half not gonna lie
@Skynet1 Don’t forget Sonic
Had me in the first half ngl 😅
Megaman is also pretty good, but on average, castlevania has the better level design
Showcased in an extremely small portion of the game, but the creator went hard af anyways.

This theme and the "final stage" card coming up gets me so fucking hyped for the rest of the game.

You're a legend
Dracula: “No! *THIS CANNOT BE!* *_AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!”_* 😫

Belmont, son of Belmont. I've been waiting for you.
Richter: “Die, monster. You don’t belong in this world.” 😐🫵
Dracula: _“What the hell was that delivery?!”_ 🤨🫴
0:17 is definitely underrated
It’s 2024 and this track is still hard as fuck.
Pure power metal on a PS1, easily reminds me of bands like Gamma Ray, Halloween and Stratovarius!
It reminds me of "Heaven or hell" or even "send me a sign" by gamma ray, "Future world" by Helloween, and "eagleheart" by stratovarius
Sold my ps1 eons ago.. sometimes I come here to cry
There are about 5 gorillion ways to play this game right now. Just go do it.
kid named epsxe
@@gaspump I emulate it on my phone but it's not the same
No castlevania game to this day will have a soundtrack as hard as this
Prologue, Symphony of the Night.
Amo as trilhas dos teus vídeos, às vezes fica até difícil de prestar atenção no conteúdo, de tão foda.
Que conteudo kkkkk
This is supposed to be a remix of Poison Mind, because Poison Mind is used in the final stage of Castlevania Rondo of Blood.
Hmm, it does sound like bloodlines and den combined, more den.
I know right! The guitar tapping in the middle. Poison mind is the theme that plays when you're climbing the iconic stairs to Dracula's throne room.
It is not by my hand that I'm once again given flesh
This song plays in my mind every early morning when I have to wake up to go to work LOL
I just learned this on guitar today. Most notes are in the key of B minor, and the tapping section sounds amazing!

THE HARDEST SONG CALLED 'PROLOGUE' EVER 🥶🔥

Aggressive planned Crissaegrim farming.
Castlevania Animated Series Needs them to take a break and say wait, let’s wait for this song to finish.
Com certeza SONT foi um dos melhores jogos já feito
Sim
I was sad to find out this wasn't in castle keep. It should have been
What’s the point of a Shepard when all the Wolves have gone
Never realized it was a loop
... I can't be the only one who decided it would be hilarious to spam Hellfire against Richter the first time I fought him, right?
YEEESSSSS 🖤
What's with the white noise in the background.
UA-cam compression/bad file quality.
Same literally thought someone was calling my name in the background
Yyeeeeessssssss
"HA-!"
Needs remixing, guitar solo way too subdued.
