I don't care that you could see him grabbing the cards from his back pocket... that still doesn't explain how he knew it was going to be 7 of hearts! XD
Random Rampage Yep, you have the cards. If you fan through the cards with pressure they're stick together, but it you look through them without force, you'll get double sided cards to split.
The card trick is easy. All he has to do was went to the future using the time machine, asked Ellen, went back to the past, flipped the card. Boom, done. It's that easy.
Pretty simple trick, invisible deck trick. Basically he has the evens on one side, the odds on another, and he pairs hearts with spades, and diamonds with clubs. The pairs are back to back, so he has access to whatever number she wants. Notice how he switches the side at 1:13 because she gave him an odd number, so he has to go to the odd side.
Its ridiculous how many people think they are so smart and keep pointing out 0:52 when it wasn't meant to be subtle, he made it obvious, it's a joke....
1st trick: this is called the Invisible deck. Its a gimmicked deck of cards: the backs of the cards stick to eachother when you spread through them. If you apply pressure to only one card you can reveal the chosen card. In this case the chosen card, the 6 of hearts, is behind the 7 of spades. The "magician" only has to know which card is behind which card. The system works as follows: every set of 2 cards will add up to 13. One side of the deck is uneven and the other side is even. Spades go together with Hearts, Clubs go together with Diamonds. There is one edge case, which is the King of any suit.
lol the people here think they're so smart by pointing out that he pulled the deck from his back pocket. It was meant to be a comedic sort of move because it was obvious, and you can tell he was expecting to get laughs, not clapping. And also I've seen eight speculations of how the card trick is done, all wrong. The deck isn't a "Special" deck that you can buy for $9.99, because that doesn't explain how that's the only card flipped. She could have picked any card! And no he doesn't secretly flip the card while people aren't looking. The way it works is, you put the cards half face up, half face down, and mix them so they're alternating. Then you memorize the order on each side. You remember that the seven of hearts is on the back of the jack of spades, and you flip the deck to the right side before opening the box. Then you simply push down as you fan through the cards, and because of the wax on the backs of them, the card backs will stick together so as not to show the plethora of upside down cards. When you get to the jack of spades, you simply release your thumb and fan one more card out, and it will be the seven of hearts, turned upside down. It's really pretty simple...
***** lol maybe you can use one of those too, but this wasn't done with one. This was done with a regular deck, just rigged in that order. I know because I do this all the time.
***** ok dude I just wrote an explanation of exactly how it's done in great detail, so it's not my fault you can't read. But you're not going to come onto my post and tell my that I'M the one lying. For that reason I'm deleting your comment. Troll please.
+Madolzida Vaidyen You were not the only ones. If you check the same trick performed in other shows (for example, Jamie Raven in Britain's Got Talent Final), the judges also though of 7 of hearts.
Easy trick, but has a huge impact on people. There are pairs of cards with one face up and one face down. The pairs add up to 13, so 6 and 7 are pairs. Hearts and spades are pairs, so all the magician has to is to find the 6 of spades, knowing the 7 of hearts is just behind it. This is also why he asked whether Ellen put the card FACE DOWN or FACE UP, as the cards are sorted with all the odds at one side. You can look up the "Invisible deck"-trick :)
actually you take all the black cards from a blue deck, and all the red cards from a red deck, you put them in order from A-K and u put one blue card face up one red one face down, u memorize the order, so when he asks her what card she picked, for example lets say she woulda picked a Q he just counts that many cards down and shows one of the face down card that he knew were to look for kz there in order, and theres ur magic, so it don't matter witch card they picked as long as they say it out loud. ohh yeah and i forgot to mention u buy a spray and spray the cards with it so when he goes thru them the other face down cards don't show.
Those wondering about the magic trick. No matter what Ellen choose (Ace club, 7 heart, etc) He will still get it right (if he have practiced) That deck is special deck for the trick. Invisible deck. Half of them are already facing down and half is facing up. This card uses special coating on the card, (also this deck is arranged in order.) so you know where you can find 7 of heart or any other card if you practice it. Magic is for joy. Enjoying is much better than finding it out,
This is standard magic trick. At 0:50, he redirected everyone attention to Ellen then used his left hand to reach for the deck of cards in his left pocket (away from the audience). I didn't even need to replay the video to catch him doing that.
The card trick requires really fast hand skills. The guy looked for the 7 of hearts and quickly flipped it before showing it to everyone. Very nicely done.
Nyda Kim No. That's just a lucky coincidence. She could've picked literally any card and it would've had the same outcome. The "Invisible deck" is a modified deck, which you can buy. I have one. You get amazing reactions
+Ethan Goepper No, it's not a lucky coincidence. I've seen this trick many times (it was also performed by Jamie Raven in Britain's Got Talent Final) and the card is ALWAYS the 7 of hearts.
It's an invisible deck. Even on one side, odd on the other side... The Spades meet up with the Hearts and the Clubs meet up with the Diamonds. Each pair adds up to 13. Ellen says the 7 of Hearts. The man opens the pack the 'even way' out and searches for the 6 of Spades. On the reverse of this card is the right card which he slips out, with a little practice, to make it look already turned! This man is very fluent and I love his work! Good trick :D
The deck of card the guy reaches for was like a joke. It's not the trick and he knows it's dumb cause he laughs a bit when some people actually acted like it was a really good illusion. The trick is having the correct card flipped in the deck.
there are 52 decks in his pocket with each deck having one different card upside down so all he has to do is pick the right deck...... so eaasyyy

Munkh Anar Not actually. There is algoritm there and 2 deck of cards sticked to each other. U can find that deck on amazon. And Even numbers are on same side, odd numbers are on otherside. And the algoritm is, total of cards are equal to 13. I mean if u see 5 on this side, other side card is 8. If its 9 other side is 4. But how hoes he know if its Spade or club or something else. Its simple again, u just need to categorize cards like this; Spades = Clubs Diamonds = Hearts. Lets say she said 5 of spades. Now we have to look for 8 of clubs. The cards is even, then we will just start the even side of the deck. And when u find the 8 of clubs gently push the card that is sticked to it. And its gonna be 5 of spades. There is no magic there is good trick :)))
Really awesome magic trick.. yes you can see him get the deck out,,, still doesn't alone say how the card, ellen picked,, was upside down inside that deck... Really many magicians out here on youtube ^^!
I know the trick :D All the odd faced numbers are faced one way and the even ones are faced the other way, in numerical order. They are also stuck together, so it looks like they are all facing one way. So, when he goes to find a card, he just needed to look for the number 6 or 8 to find 7.
just find it stupid that people wanna reveal the trick, and especially to those who don't know the trick, and like the way it is kept secret... i knew the trick, still find it intresting to watch, and see comments on people who wonder how :) and then people "ruin" it by saying.
Every card facing up has a card underneath it which is facing down and sort of sticks together. He'd have to have remember what card the 7 of hearts would have suck on it, in this case it looks like 6 spades which makes sense. Once Ellen tells him her card was 7 hearts he would go through the deck and find the 6 of spades, once he find it you need to just slide the card out underneath it. The same can be done if the chosen card was the 6 by flipping the deck, he does it at the start you can see
its called a rough back deck. search it youtube. i don't want to spoil the whole trick. But anyone could have said any card and that card would have "appeared" face down. its actually a really easy and fun trick to do!
its actually even easier than that for him, all of the cards have a rough texture coated on the back this way when he spreads the cards out the friction doesn't make the cards that lie beneath show, until he finds the paired card and forces it out
That is actually probably a pretty simple trick for someone who has great dexterity. Half the cards in the deck were face-up, the other half were face-down, but you couldn't see them because the friction of the backs of the cards kept them held together (this actually works). He found the card he had paired with the face-down Seven of Hearts and and brushed the edge of the two cards to break their hold together. Possibly he used another method, but the method I described would work.
First trick is really easy. He revealed the trick when asking for whether the card was face up or down. Notice the card above: 6 of spades. That is the partner for the seven of hearts. All the odd cards are facing one way, with their partners the opposite way right behind them. But still an amazing performance
Well, I'm not a properly licensed magician myself so I guess that's okay ^^. His deck is prepared : let's assume for a moment that jack is 11, queen is 12, king is 13. In his deck, the 'even' cards are all paired back-to-back with the 'odd' cards following this rule : two back-to-back cards have a summed value of 13 ; as for shapes, diamonds go with clubs and hearts go with spades. The kings are back-to-back together following the shape rule.
i think what they ment was the audience was amazed and they made it look like it came out of mid air so u dont have to get mad or do this -.-' or nothing else .
She said herself that she changed her mind a number of times. Regardless it doesn't matter, she could have picked any card the the magic would have revealed it the same ; )
He didn't know the card that's why he asked before he actually spread out the cards~ That deck is called the "invisible deck", basically it has two sides. One is even and the other is odd with different suits~ It's a simple trick with a cool effect :D
The whip girl is a mom that never misses with a belt. Poor children.
Poor children but happy husband ! He gets spanked when he is bad and she's a pretty woman, I bet she looks great in leather boots ;)
Ummmmmmmmm
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh not the belt! LOL
hahahahahahahaha man you made my day
well the children are lucky she aint black! lol
I don't care that you could see him grabbing the cards from his back pocket... that still doesn't explain how he knew it was going to be 7 of hearts! XD
He didn't there is an other trick to it. :P
It is called the invisable deck. One of the easiest tricks possible
Random Rampage Yep, you have the cards. If you fan through the cards with pressure they're stick together, but it you look through them without force, you'll get double sided cards to split.
Terraria Fan i actualy saw he got it from his back
Pointer I meant, that he didn't know, that it was the 7 of hearts, it could have been an other card as well.
The card trick is easy. All he has to do was went to the future using the time machine, asked Ellen, went back to the past, flipped the card. Boom, done. It's that easy.
Lol
Michael McNamara And your photo is einstein >.>
YES THAT IS TRUE I DONT KNOW WHAT EVERYBODY IS TALKING ABOUT ON HERE!! THIS EXPLANATION IS SCIENCE!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Well done
+Michael McNamara dude!!! don't ruin the trick!!
That explains it!
Dude, dont expose the trick
Soiled it! Soiled it! Soiled it! Why can people just enjoy magic 😾
Andrea baldo You were the one to continue reading after the first line. Some people enjoy knowing how it's done.
.
Amazing what you can do with a prepared deck, and not behind a keyboard
Its ridiculous how many people think they are so smart and keep pointing out 0:52 when it wasn't meant to be subtle, he made it obvious, it's a joke....
Dang, and I thought I was so smart too... XD

+Icecoldkiller000 People can google on their own.
Are you sure its the 6 of hearts...
My brain hurts
Icecoldkiller000 delete this comment, I don't want others to know
Whaaaat a knowledge you have man. wowwww
lol the people here think they're so smart by pointing out that he pulled the deck from his back pocket. It was meant to be a comedic sort of move because it was obvious, and you can tell he was expecting to get laughs, not clapping.

Simple yes but very sneaky.
thats about right..u nailed it.. :)
The trick is very simple once you know how it's done. It's way more fun to not know it :P
*****

the sound of that whip is soooooo fantastic!
he actually used an invisible deck lol 😂😂
I wish I didn't know about the invisible deck. It takes away some of the "awe" to the trick. Well, all of it actually. :(
Have some respect for the art and don't reveal this
Christyan Scarborough wow
I was going to make that same joke.
"Have you ever seen an invisible deck?"
She has now.
The first one blew my mind! WOW
The way that whip sounded and the speed it was going at, it sounded like the intro of The Way You Make Me Feel by Michael Jackson.
The second one is easy too. You just whip the stick until it's really short!
AMAZING
I ACTUALLY THOUGHT 7 OF HEARTS UENDBDHSBHX WHY
+Madolzida Vaidyen You were not the only ones. If you check the same trick performed in other shows (for example, Jamie Raven in Britain's Got Talent Final), the judges also though of 7 of hearts.
+Matthew De Jesus Magic someone who knows magic stuff yay
SAME I WAS FREAKIN OUT
+Kayley J. It was a coincidence.
Omg the fuq, me tooooo. I was going to comment that I thought that too! Omg! Is it common or something?
OMG...i have been watching Ellen for 12 long hrs.
0:52 He reaches into his pocket to get the deck then make it look like the deck appeared ;3
It was supposed to look stupid, you can see he's surprised people are even clapping.
That actually wasn't the point of the trick, if you were paying any attention at all.
Its actually easy tricks, the deck do all the job for him. But its always a nice to see a simple and amazing act like this.
I PICKED THE SEVEN OF HEARTS TOO!
Now watch me whip whip. This is the one time its eligible.
Man I just LOVE MAGIC and Magicians!!!
invisible deck anyone can do it... yet why does he get credit for it?
for a great performance. Your hands would shake so hard that you couldn't even hold the deck, not to mention being charismatic.
Piotr Walter My hands use to shake I have gotten more comfortable presenting card tricks to people.
Yeah honestly. Invisible decks are old news
But he got everyone to think of the seven of hearts. The invisible deck was not responsible for that. That was very impressive mentalism.
actually you take all the black cards from a blue deck, and all the red cards from a red deck, you put them in order from A-K and u put one blue card face up one red one face down, u memorize the order, so when he asks her what card she picked, for example lets say she woulda picked a Q he just counts that many cards down and shows one of the face down card that he knew were to look for kz there in order, and theres ur magic, so it don't matter witch card they picked as long as they say it out loud. ohh yeah and i forgot to mention u buy a spray and spray the cards with it so when he goes thru them the other face down cards don't show.
Thanks Betty, I'd always wondered how variants of this trick were done.
The only magic trick I can do is making food disappear. (eats a bag of potato chips)
The invisible deck is one of my, if not my absolute favorite illusion. Works well in near any situation.
That whip lady looks like lara croft!!
Those wondering about the magic trick. No matter what Ellen choose (Ace club, 7 heart, etc) He will still get it right (if he have practiced)

when that guy did magic i saw the box of cards behind his back
+Aysiah Hubbard Of course!! Do you want him to ACTUALLY make a deck of cards APPEAR from his hands?!?
Aysiah Hubbard I’m gonna say yes on that
oh my freaking God!! that magic trick was awesome!!!
This is standard magic trick.
At 0:50, he redirected everyone attention to Ellen then used his left hand to reach for the deck of cards in his left pocket (away from the audience). I didn't even need to replay the video to catch him doing that.
ok it seems reasonable. but whats your reason for the 7 of hearts being flipped even after the deck of cards being pulled out? :D
Princess Luna Well that's a deck made exactly for that purpose called an invisible deck or something.. Look it up it's really cool :)
I thnk everyone saw that, its the rest of the trick thats amazing....
It was for the sake of turning the "invisible" playing cards into a real deck. It wasn't the trick at all.
What's even more surprising, is that he flipped over the deck when she told the card. It's the telltale sign of the brainwave deck.
The card trick requires really fast hand skills. The guy looked for the 7 of hearts and quickly flipped it before showing it to everyone. Very nicely done.
The scary thing was that I was thinking of the same card. Did he do something or say something to get us thinking about that specific card?
Nyda Kim No. That's just a lucky coincidence. She could've picked literally any card and it would've had the same outcome. The "Invisible deck" is a modified deck, which you can buy. I have one. You get amazing reactions
Me too! I thought of the 7 of hearts myself!
+Nyda Kim I was literally stunned! I was thinking 7 of freaking hearts! how is that possible?
I actually thought 7 of hearts too, I'm not even kidding..
+Ethan Goepper No, it's not a lucky coincidence. I've seen this trick many times (it was also performed by Jamie Raven in Britain's Got Talent Final) and the card is ALWAYS the 7 of hearts.

I pick the 7 of hearts too... That was awesome
it's an invisible deck
Woody Hall don't tell everyone...
Simple Trick With a great performance that makes the trick super nice
Didnt anyone see that he got the deck from his back pocket
yeah,, i saw that,, hahahaha. so the 7 of hearts was plan or ? thats the only part that confused me a lil.
im not sure about that but the trick was pretty awesome
Syasya Jamal It's called the invisible deck, look it up.
yeah i know what its called. =/
I did!
Hahahhahahaha Ellen is so silly in a hilarious way. So funny 😆😆😆 the first part; shuffling the invincible cards 😆😆😆🤦🏾♀️
there are 52 decks in his pocket with each deck having one different card upside down so all he has to do is pick the right deck...... so eaasyyy

There is no magic there is good trick :)))
En İlginç 10 u know I'm jokin right...?
En İlginç 10 but still a good explanation thank you... never knew how these tricks were done...
Munkh Anar At least there will be people who will believe that he has 52 decks in his pocket. So its for them then :)
lololol
ellen's face is priceless when she discovers the seven of hearts :)
Wow you guys who say this is amateur and who want to put him down are just stupid, it's a magic trick for goodness sake!!!!!
Lmao at the way Andy looked at what was left of the pencil before he returned backstage again
o.52 , watch his hand behind his pant
The invisible deck~ Awesome. Ellen is also awesome. At. Shuffling. Cards. XD
2:37 ellen: "what do ya? how do ya?"
Girl: Pastry school--- ( like that's even normal) - Love It
i always repeat it when ellen say " how and where do you " OMG!!LOL! love you ellen, at 1.34
That whip had a damn good beat to it!!!! like a hip hop thing
I literally cried laughin at your comment. Dude, you serious made my day. ♥
It's such a powerful trick, one of my favourite
♥️Portia & Ellen‼️💚💙💜♥️
🌎💚♥️💜💙💚💛🧡❤🌍
The lady with the whip was awesome! Ellen expressed what I want to know; where do you learn something like that?!
I don't think I have gone one of these Ellen talent videos without going "OH MY GOD"
the trick is in the deck of cards itself….he is good, great presentation.
First one amazing, I thought the exact same and I somehow knew it would turn out that way haha
1:27 that was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
AND, Andy is so adorable :)
i like this vid..tanx for sharing Ellen..iloveu
LOL! the second one.. Ellen: we're risking your... (her little laugh) haha best one
Really awesome magic trick.. yes you can see him get the deck out,,, still doesn't alone say how the card, ellen picked,, was upside down inside that deck...
Really many magicians out here on youtube ^^!
I know the trick :D
All the odd faced numbers are faced one way and the even ones are faced the other way, in numerical order. They are also stuck together, so it looks like they are all facing one way. So, when he goes to find a card, he just needed to look for the number 6 or 8 to find 7.
(Show the comment) but how did ellen guess that one
just find it stupid that people wanna reveal the trick, and especially to those who don't know the trick, and like the way it is kept secret... i knew the trick, still find it intresting to watch, and see comments on people who wonder how :) and then people "ruin" it by saying.
Imagine if that was a real invisible deck of cards Ellen was shuffling... Dem skillz
OMG That was one was amazing!
The same can be done if the chosen card was the 6 by flipping the deck, he does it at the start you can see
THAT CARD TRICK IS INSANE!!!!!
these ellen videos are multiplying.
wow thats some cool talent!
its called a rough back deck. search it youtube. i don't want to spoil the whole trick. But anyone could have said any card and that card would have "appeared" face down. its actually a really easy and fun trick to do!
How could ellen shuffle a pack of invisible cards so well. O.O
The magic trick was unbelievable
It's easy to do tricks like the card one with ellen. she loves 7 of hearts.
love Ellen's laugh at 2:02 xD
that girl with the whip i think i have a crush now
the trick was very cool and i was about to share it on Facebook
until your comment showed up
and I think your right
I LOVE HER LAUGH !!!!!! :D
its actually even easier than that for him, all of the cards have a rough texture coated on the back this way when he spreads the cards out the friction doesn't make the cards that lie beneath show, until he finds the paired card and forces it out
watch all of the ellen show episodes that features magician, and youll find out that ellen is picking 7 of hearts most of the times :)
This is insane!!!!!
Best trick ever!
7 of hearts, queen of hearts. ace of spades.
I'm now really excited to go to pastry school this summer!!!!! :D
O_O OMG! that magic trick was awesome! :D
2:06 is it only me that loves that sound? :D
First trick is really easy. He revealed the trick when asking for whether the card was face up or down.
Notice the card above: 6 of spades. That is the partner for the seven of hearts. All the odd cards are facing one way, with their partners the opposite way right behind them.
But still an amazing performance
OMG! I picked the 7 of hearts!!!!!
The invisible deck is one of the most simple tricks in the world, its so easy to do
I find it freaky I've never seen this episode before and when they did the card trick, I thought of the 7 of hearts the whole time. O_O
"C'mon!" LOOOL!
i think what they ment was the audience was amazed and they made it look like it came out of mid air so u dont have to get mad or do this -.-' or nothing else .
0:52 you can see his left arm getting a pack of card out but his card trick was amazing
No jokes but when he said what was the card I was thinking 7 Hearts and when Ellen said it I screamed really loudly
SAME
she was always picking 7 of hearts!
She said herself that she changed her mind a number of times.
Regardless it doesn't matter, she could have picked any card the the magic would have revealed it the same ; )
Its a trick called the invisible deck. Very good setup and a very easy trick to perform :D
TheTslat what is lying
omg i wanna go to bed but i cant because i have to watch more ellen videos O.O
you see him take the deck from his back at 51 seconds but the rest was amazing
Well obviously. He's not going to just make a deck of cards appear out of air.
The card guy can have my heart
Andy ran off that stage as quick as he could lol
The guy is so adorable :>
He didn't know the card that's why he asked before he actually spread out the cards~ That deck is called the "invisible deck", basically it has two sides. One is even and the other is odd with different suits~ It's a simple trick with a cool effect :D
No shit!?! You just blew my mind!!!
Wauw, you surely do make a very valid argument. Please continue.
