It's probably a small cup of dry ice & some USB strip lights that can be set to Orange... but I agree it's a great costume!!! Kudos to the SNL costume department!!!
I legit believe this costume is an altered version of an exact one worn for an “I’m Just A Bill” Schoolhouse Rock parody. Even network shows gotta cut some corners.
"Find me in Mom's purse!" - just about spit out my drink, lol. Mom's purse was the gateway for cigs in 60's/70's - nobody's Mom smoked but there were usually smokes in a purse :)
Michael and Marcello are completely different personalities but I have to say they both bring so much character to the cast! I almost stopped watching SNL when the old cast started leaving but now thanks to them I still look forward to every week
I'm sure plenty of other people have left this exact same comment on other videos, but I swear to god: this is the funniest thing snl has made in a long damn time. No notes.

It was a short lived sketch show on MTV…many if not all of the cast went on to do lots of shows or movies to varying degrees of popularity and success…their comedy was more odd and subversive than SNL…maybe closer to Canada’s “Kids in the Hall”. Both of these sketch shows were in the 90’s so not sure it’s aged well but it was a grungy weird time 😅

@@Dailymemes9000 - The State is the best show to watch if you want to learn how to hunt Muppet, how to engage in a long, drawn-out campaign of psychological torture on monkeys, or what sort of sweet nothings to whisper to $240 worth of pudding. It's a show that was popular with teens in the mid-90s, as evidenced by an appeal they once made to Chelsea Clinton to watch their show, back when she was living in the White House. It really is a fun show. I think it's available on a few streaming services, and I know each of the 4 seasons can be purchased for about $5 each. It's not life changing or hugely profound, but it's a good watch.
I mean if you think about it. Cigarettes were so important during WWII that they were issued to you. Cigarettes helped win WWII. Before the end of Vietnam they stopped doing that and everyone see how that turned out. 🤷♂️
