so so so happy you’re enjoying learning about Indian culture, cinema and films are a really big part of India and contribute a lot, learning about languages and religions might seem overwhelming since it’s really diverse but if you start understanding it it’s really fun to know it!!

About ur feminist essay for ur religion and cinema in india class, i think u should research a little on the actress savitri, (there is biographical film abt her called “Mahanati”) and it really puts into perspective how even women in the most powerful positions are challenged in their personal lives cuz their success scares people in general! It’s a complex issue that has so much to unpack and idk if it is even helpful but i think it might u give u a better understanding of women and their place in Indian society! (And maybe also Silk Smitha?) anyways, yea that’s all! So nice to see u learning about my culture tbh!
