Hands down Jacky Vincent. I love Monte, but Jacky has skills which really are incredible especially for his age. Also, his stuff in his side project Star X Speed Story is mind blowing.
Eric Brown eh I mean there is a line when it comes to guitar Jacky Vincent solos always sound the same sweeping picking is all he really does and it’s really not hard to learn what makes a good guitar player is feeling monte puts more creativity in his solos Jacky Vincent well isn’t as creative with solos he’s fast but not as creative as monte
Okay so Both are excellent guitar player and both have the style that they solo. Jackie prefers to do a lot of sweeps (Which even slowly) are a speed technique for being unrealistically fast. Monte however balances his ability to be mind-blowingly fast with giving it a melody that can brainwash you. Even when jackie attempts that when he starts to shred the melody is lost in the solo. Again both are incredible guitar players but I prefer Montes SOLOING style since that is what is being compared, not their actual guitar ability in which case I'm pretty sure they are on par with each other. Besides Montes ability to sing gives him the advantage of hearing a melody in his head and playing it, making it more appealing anyways. so yeah...
Jacky is one of the fastest guitar players out there. Monte is good hes just not better than Jacky. Plus Jacky is more devoted to Falling in Reverse than Monte was to Escape the Fate.
+Nate Everhart Not even, Monte was kicked out for lies spread around while Jacky left to do his own thing if anyone was devoted more to the band, it's Monte plus Monte is better than Jacky in terms of skill. All Jacky does is sweep and speed pick while Monte combines all of the techniques and is much smoother when it comes to sweeping.
@@GHOST-vw4zh You commented this 6 years ago... You had to ability to listen to Just Like You, and Star X Speed story and you blindly said "All Jacky does is sweep and speed pick," come on dude. Especially "Monte is better than Jacky in terms of skill" NO MATTER if you think Jacky is melodic or not, this is just simply untrue and a really ridiculous statement. I mean you also had the ability to listen to Born To Lead and you STILL said that... Jacky is insanely fast and has been hyper-sweeping since the age of 16. Monte can sweep, but not as clean as Jacky did in Born To Lead, Goodbye Graceful, or Maybe I Am A Wolf, which Maybe I Am A Wolf is another song you REALLY should've listened to before saying Monte has 'more skill' or 'sweeps smoother' LOL. You all say this like robots and blindly say this stuff without actually giving Jacky a listen. Rain is a good solo song of Jacky's. Also My Hearts To Blame has a good solo in it, same with almost every other Just Like You song that has a solo. Jacky can mix together Sweeps and Speed while being able to be melodic at the same time.
@@GHOST-vw4zh Why'd YOU even care to reply then lol. You made some rather dumb claims, and in this case comment age doesn't matter because the claims you made were debunkable even 6 years ago, and it was very unlikely you're opinion changed cause neither of the two have released much since then... Someone had to say it! Also "you need new hobbies" was the most baseless copy paste response ever, 6 years ago was around 2017, it just really wasn't that long ago. And also, it took me like 50 seconds to type that, "new hobbies" yeah dude whatever, how about I use that against you as well? You cared enough to reply to me after that and wrote 2 sentences... You need new hobbies...? Yeah exactly. Baseless. Confusing. It's a dumb argument.
Monte's solos. Jacky's are just a bunch of fast notes that sounds really messy + Bryan has more soul in his. Dont get me wrong i really love Jacky but i've been a money boy since 2006 :p
I haven't seen them live personally but I have seen countless videos of them performing live and I have yet to see one where he plays the difficult parts correctly, particularly the sweeps in the intro to This War Is Ours.
Right you little falling in reverse fan girls, jacky has no talent, wow, he can pick and shred really fast, I'll give it to him, makes his fans happy, but look at monte, he has real talent, he had charisma and can actually play, all jacky does is play really fast in hope that people will find him good, but monte has the talent to make you appreciate music, his solos are more melodic and mean something, while jacky's are pretty crap, and sound the same..every single time, yes monte wasn't as devoted to the band, but he's the one who has the musical talent, with age comes experience and you learn more, I'm not here to start anything but nah son monte all the way! Btw etf fans new album soon!🙋🏻❤️
Charisma has nothing to do with music. Though they play two different styles of guitar Jack's knowledge in music makes him the better guitarist. And age doesn't mean Shit.
Anybody know the third Monte song? Cuz I really like it and it's the only song in this vid I don't know. Oh and I can't choose between them because I like both of them a lot
honestly i think that they are both amazing. Ive been a falling in reverse fan since they first showed up on the scene. But i have also been a die hard escape the fate fan and one of my main inspirations to learn to guitar was Monte.
Bryan: Fast as hell, shred & sweep skills, more feel, more stuff Jackie: Fast as hell, shred & sweep skills...and that's it. I think we have a winner ;)
I think they are both amazing, I'm a huge fan of both bands, so yeah. I especially love Monte's solo in This War Is Ours and Jacky's solo during I'm Not A Vampire
I agree, I love both bands so its hard for me to choose. But you put it brilliantly :D though I think I have to say I prefer Jacky's playing style to Monte's purely because its a bit more fun. But as you say there both amazing guitarists XD
Thank you so much, I'm learning how to play guitar so I do like to analyze different styles from some of my favorite artist, and that's how I get better by learning those styles. I forgot to point out that in live peformances Monte sounds like he's struggeling with some solos when he plays them live like The Aftermath, I don't find that in Jacky's case tbh. again, thank you for supporting my view!
To be honest, they both have amazing qualities. I mean Jacky has the speed factor with the quick alterations in sound, while Bryan keeps his intensity at a constant. Like Bryan flows steadily and keeps with the tone of the songs, while Jacky almost stands out from the whole song entirely. Its really in the ear of the listener, it depends on whether they like heavy shredding or constants. Personally I like Jacky his creativity seems endless unlike Bryan's whom has a similar sound in all his work.
Seeing as how I've seen them both live, Monte nailed literally every solo live, and Jacky did amazing as well but he's not really a 'performer' live like monte but i say they tie
tough one-jacky's solos do sound a little "samey" but he is one the best sweep-pickers out there. bryan's not quite as quick but he still sets the fret board on fire and he does have a nice sound. i say they get on stage and have a full on guitar battle to sort it out-it would be amazing ^.^
I think it was Tosin Abasi who said something along the lines of "Playing fast just takes practice, playing with heart is the real skill." That's why I'll always like Monte better.
Monte. His solos scream passion. I like Jacky, don't get me wrong his solos are catchy and fun to listen to but they all kind of sound similar in my opinion. He overuses the sweep picking and tapping... He's more stylish but Monte has the technique.
they're both damn good guitarists with different styles of playing. I do have to say that i prefer Jacky's style a bit more though just because his sweeps are so clean and his alternate picking is really well done. he's a ridiculously fast player. i love them both though.
...but then I did notice Monte has a lot of variety in his solos. Jacky can sure play well, but he has pretty much the same style in each song. I wonder if he incorporated a few changes in the new FIR songs.
Haha I agree man, I was just saying because I was sure it would bother the trolls, personally I enjoy both bands and guitarist, I think they have signature styles, and really couldn't be compared in my opinion.
They both can accomplish the same things. I feel like they're equals. It's just where Monte and Jacky choose to extend their talents through the song they're doing.
Hands down Jacky Vincent. I love Monte, but Jacky has skills which really are incredible especially for his age. Also, his stuff in his side project Star X Speed Story is mind blowing.
+JasonGuitarHand You do realize Monte is only in his 20s
monte is much younger than jacky lol but yes i agree jacky is better however montes skill is insane

Laughs in Synyster Gates
@@kzshrr forgot I even commented on this video. Synester is miles ahead of these two, so it's not even worth the comparison...
i love them both but Monte's the man when it comes down to style
Monte always makes beautiful melodies and exiting soloes... he has given me goosebumps so many times.
honestly i think they should do a collab together...
Okay so Both are excellent guitar player and both have the style that they solo. Jackie prefers to do a lot of sweeps (Which even slowly) are a speed technique for being unrealistically fast. Monte, I think his solo's have more style then just sweeps.
i like both but i love jacky a lot more
i admire them both. jacky is very good. but i'd choose Bryan Monte Money, because he inspired me playing guitar at first from his solos.
Jacky said that he doesn't personally know anyone in Escape The Fate, but he respects Monte as a guitarist
MONEY!
Aye...🤘
To me, Jacky is like Mozart, fast and elegant, Monte Bryan is like Bach, emotional and epic cx
Definitely Jacky . 💕
both are good and well see wen dey develop in the future
Awesome. The thing is, the title of the video isn't "Monte Money & Jacky Vincent vs Northlane Guitarists" is it?
I cant fucking decide there both so fucking good at gutiar
in my oppinon monte hands down but i like jacky 2 and there both so hott
monte hands down, first off it sounds so much more musical when he plays but i would like to see a face off
jackey would probably win because he's more of a shredder soloist montey is more of a slower more enthusiastic soloist
8 years later, Just Like You has been out for quite some time. Still think Monte is more musical? Lol.
This video was put together really well. I liked how the solo's were in order, going up from 'Shredalicious' to 'Jizz'
Jacky! And what's the song called at 3:00? I don't think I've heard it before.
Jacky
jacky is good, but money have more "musicality" in his solos
It's Jacky.. End of story
But Montey is great
Are you sure? I'm listening to the song right now and it sounds so different. Is there another version besides the one off the album?
What's his name of the first song of fir?
jacky is the best
Jacky is one of the fastest guitar players out there. Monte is good hes just not better than Jacky. Plus Jacky is more devoted to Falling in Reverse than Monte was to Escape the Fate.

Ronnie got kicked out of etf but etf was still etf because of Monte… if anything monte was more devoted.

Jacky: Good raw skill
Monte: Better musicality
Jacky looked me in the eyes yesterday at Warped signing and said "I love you too."
make a video of jacky vincent vs yngwie malmsteen plz
yngwie sucks wtf are you even saying??!?!?!?!

Yep, Jacky is pretty fucking sloppy, especially his sweeps. He needs to practices technique more before he writes it into songs.
Monte Money is better imo. I love his sweep picks
jacky !!!
