The peoples elbow thing makes sense in a videogame way. The costumes the divas wear in bra and panties matches probably share the same properties/etc with the rocks elbow pad (also removable) and the devs/playtesters didn't click on to it
My guess is the one on the left is a lower resolution Earl that is used during in-game matches. The higher resolution one on the right is used for cutscenes since you see him closer up. Really cool
one of my favorite "tricks" was any time you fought someone in the parking lot, if you irish whipped them into that 18 wheeler, they would jump up on the trailer. theres no way to safely get down so theyd just walk off and take a bunch of damage. if you played season mode with a CAW or a wrestler with bad stats it helped alot if you found yourself against someone tougher.
You can safely get down by landing a move. It's not very realistic except against someone with extremely low technique though, since it's so easy to counter. Though not a "trick," one of my favorite glitches was the simplistic way the dumpster behaved in Arena Back Entrance. There was just a rectangle in front of the dumpster where if anyone was running while in that rectangle, they would fall in. That meant if you had your back to the dumpster and tried to run away from it, it would suck you back in anyway. My least favorite interaction was in tag matches. When you interfere while not tagged in, the ref will try to catch you and give you a talking-to, which functions as a special grapple move. If the ref catches you, you lose all control while the wrestler slowly walks out of the ring. When in this mode, you can't even counter anything, so other players can whale on you as long as they want. Worse still, you can be forced into that position if an opponent throws you into the ring. It kinda ruins tag matches tbh.
There's some fun season mode glitches where you can hold both world titles at the same time which leads to funny things like your character talking to himself before Wrestlemania.
The spinaroonie taunt into a top rope finish is INSANE! I still remember calling mom at work begging her to pick this up when it released. Then sneaking out of bed to play until like 4a and being dead at school lol. Thought I knew every inch of the game but that one stunned me! Incredible work here!!
19:19 You get in the crowd when you're in the table by running to the barricade on the side, just keep trying to run and you will eventually glitch into the crowd

What blows my mind is that I've played this since I was 4, I'm 24 now, only recently knew you can do springboards and have no clue how to do them, seeing Jawnny do it so effortlessly is nuts
If you play season mode, all you have to do to win every match is get your opponent Disqualified by leaning a table in the corner and running into it, if you time it right, you opponent will grab you and put you through the table and you will win.
This was like going back in time and watching my best friend and myself as kids trying to glitch the hell out of PS2 games like GTA and Smackdown vs Raw and laughing our asses off 😂
So cool to see another one of these tips and secrets videos with LT. They remind me of the kind of videos we would sometimes get on the demo discs for PS2 magazines here in the UK. That first blood one was amazing! That would be a great thing to do if you were losing and wanted to make sure your opponent didn't get the win. I'm sure someone, somewhere has pulled off that RVD one but it seems too hard to do consistently. The one with the floating tables blew my mind.
I never played this game during my childhood. I've only started playing it around 3 or 4 years ago as an adult. I always grew up with the Smackdown games but for one reason or another, Here Comes The Pain I just never played until recently. I have always heard about the glitches and tips over the years so finally getting the game and playing it for myself was liberating.
My own tip: if you create a max height superstar and play a hell in a cell match, you can back body drop your opponent from in the ring to on top of the hell in a cell. You have to first break one of the two panels.
If I remember correctly Johnny made a video about the floating tables glitch in SVR 06 years ago, I didn’t know that glitch existed in other games too.
Played this so much as a kid, trying to stack table on table and use the extended ladder for the five star frog splash to put my opponent through both tables was easy, compared to doing it off the titantron, i.e. the fist on the smackdown arena, was very difficult. I was able to do a generic chokeslam through a table from the ground. It took multiple attempts, and I only succeeded from lodging the table into the ropes and turnbuckle, making it impossible for the table to move, and putting the receiving character "on top" when the move was executed. A lot of jank is manipulated when doing things not intended in this game, and I love it. Looking back, this was a utopia of jank, not just with this game, but with this generation as a whole. The Eric Bischoff first blood one does work but he must wear his gm suit also another one you could do is throw your opponent into the barricade then run and press square to stand on the appron do a diving spinning wheel kick I believe it's called and you will glitch into the crowd. Also hope you do more of these like for Smackdown 2 if you go to the stage fall on your face trying to do a running grapple let it do the rolling gimmick when your superstar gets up then run the opposite direction and you will start floating repeat the process and you can get pretty high till the game crashes
God this brings back memories. I was super disappointed when you had Charlie Haas in a match and didn't make him bleed, his blood in the game is a dark brown/blackish colour. My head canon was he was a robot and that was oil spilling out of his forehead. I used to do the bra and panties, Elimination Chamber, cage match and using the table to get into the crowd glitches all the time back in the day. My first ever wrestling game experience was svr 06 but I recently said fuck it and I grabbed a ps2 for the low and I found HCTP at a store nearby and I just gotta say I’ve never had so much motherfucking fun playing a wrestling video game or any video game in general . I can’t believe a game from 20 years ago blows these new games out of the fucking water and watching you guys and pulse for years motivated me to hop on HCTP. Thank you guys for the years and years of entertainment. Your videos have helped me through some awful times. Thank you ❤🙏🏾❤️❤️
I don't remember if it was in HCTP or later but I remember that if you use Edge's spear [as a running finisher] on the Undertaker while he has the opponent upside down in the stalling tombstone pin, [the one legend Undertaker has in HCTP] the Undertaker will sell and the other opponent will get tombstoned and be stuck in the hands-folded-on-chest pin.
I don't remember exactly but you can hardlock the game if you're the last person remaining in a Rumble and you do a top-rope move out of the ring, either that or if you're in the ring and the number 30 is on their way into the ring and then you do a missile dropkick to them.
The People's Elbow one seems to say, you can't lose now, cuz the glitch removes your clothes, which is the way the other girl wins. She can't do it anymore, and the game thinks you are fine, so yeah. You can just play the match till you win :P Or the game crashes.
The peoples elbow thing makes sense in a videogame way. The costumes the divas wear in bra and panties matches probably share the same properties/etc with the rocks elbow pad (also removable) and the devs/playtesters didn't click on to it
That's what I was thinking, and it also likely means B&P matches were 100% adapted from a single finisher animation.

Thank you ❤🙏🏾❤️❤️
Takes me back to the good Ol days
I don't remember if it was in HCTP or later but I remember that if you use Edge's spear [as a running finisher] on the Undertaker while he has the opponent upside down in the stalling tombstone pin, [the one legend Undertaker has in HCTP] the Undertaker will sell and the other opponent will get tombstoned and be stuck in the hands-folded-on-chest pin.
3:10 to 4:05 had me crying lol😂
I don't remember exactly but you can hardlock the game if you're the last person remaining in a Rumble and you do a top-rope move out of the ring, either that or if you're in the ring and the number 30 is on their way into the ring and then you do a missile dropkick to them.
I've been playing a pretty sweet modded HCTP. All redone models and Era accurate outfits. It's badass
Love this game! Kane was an absolute beast.
Heck ya he is! Ridiculously big in this game and just destroying everyone lol 😂.
The People's Elbow one seems to say, you can't lose now, cuz the glitch removes your clothes, which is the way the other girl wins. She can't do it anymore, and the game thinks you are fine, so yeah. You can just play the match till you win :P Or the game crashes.
if you never played here comes the pain, lock yourself in your room for 13 days straight and dont stop playing until time is up
Perc Angle was crazy enough to do it actually 34:00 💀
I can't believe LT didn't have HTCP
... Or a toothbrush
36:50 Suddenly having Pro Wrestling X flashbacks
0:04 FACK!!
