2 weeks ago I got my AURA SX Plus AMT (Petrol). I am very happy with the mileage. I took a long drive last weekend from Bangalore - Chennai - Mahabalipuram - Bangalore On highway I got 23-25 km/ltr. In city it is giving 17-19 km/ltr. Very happy with the car. It is great value for money. Specially wireless charging and projector headlights and fog light. Boot space is amazing 402 ltr. Perfect Sedan if your budget is under 11 lakh in Bnglr.
I am driving aura sx petrol since last 2 weeks. My unbiased review till now is as follows: Pros: 1.elegant look and style. 2. Cabin gives a premium feel. Specially the touchscreen panel and the dash looks very classy. 3. Feature rich car in below/around 8 lakh segment. 4. Boot space is huge, just behind amaze in this segment. 5. On highway, even if you touch 130-140 , steering feels very steady and gives confidence. 6. Rear ac vents, a must have for indian summers! And rear arm rest, a good touch. Though front arm rest is missing, one can retrofit it like i have done. Cons: 1. Average mileage. With ac in city 13kmpl. With ac in long distance 16kmpl ( not too good not too bad). Similar to both amaze and aspire. 2. Suspension seems to be fine for small potholes, but for bigger ones, the cabin makes a very irritating noise which doesn't give much confidence. NOT A CAR FOR BAD ROADS. 3. Built quality is very average. Not as strong as ford aspire or honda amaze in this segment. One of the orvms was touched by a bicycle while driving and the orvm broke into pieces. The impact was absolutely light. It was beyond my understanding how did this happen. Similar impacts happened to my wagon r orvms but they are still fine after 5 years. Very sorry to say but built quality doesnt give much confidence. 5. Two good features missing in the sx model which should have been given, auto ac and led projector headlamps. Both features are present in sx(o). 6. Inbuilt navigation system is missing, one has to depend on android auto for navigation. Inbuilt navigation is present in ford aspire at almost similar/lesser price. 7. Rear seat width is less, would not accommodate more than 2 adults and 1 child. It is lesser than all other cars in this segment. Overall judgement after 2 weeks: Though i was overwhelmed with its looks and features and bought aura, after using it for two weeks, i felt spending a bit extra and going for the honda amaze vx model would have been the best bet for this segment. Ford aspire titanium plus is also good at similar price as aura sx. But if you dont want to compromise on features and comfort both, i would recommend spend a bit more (around 50k) and go for honda amaze vx model. I am already feeling a bit upset that maybe this was not my best buy! But hopefully, with more time, aura will be able to change my opinion.
