Insiders are bad for the feedback loop they only serve short-term bonuses as the brand burns in the background call out as many as you can do John Campea vs "Corporate Overlords" he claims he's so aniti corp but i call him captain caveat.
CAMPEA!!! ... I know you mentioned Collider, but he needs his own segment considering how much shit he's talked about fans & online communities going back to the GB reboot & Fant4stick.
Angry Joe may not be a shill. He just has no integrity and he’s afraid of Disney and their fanboys (which is worse, in my opinion). That TLJ back peddling video was one of the most dishonest things I’ve ever seen. Definitely earned an unsub from me.
I'm so happy the terrible Disney Star Wars movies are making people like the prequels more. I swear if I ever get the money I'm going to buy Star Wars back from Disney and make everything they did non-canon
I can't even imagine how much disney would need to be offered to give up star wars. I think disney has so much money and power at this point that they stand to profit more from keeping the rights and locking them away from any other talented and driven companies.
So many people defend all of the many legitimate criticisms of this movie with "OK, so yeah, that's bad, but it broke conventions because it was SUPPOSED to be bad.... and that's what makes it so good!"
+AtariTeenagePirate Haha, yeah, pretty much. Although I'd say that The Room is much more watchable than The Last Jedi and has far more memorable moments and quotes.
Mors Coronam Exactly. They love bringing intelligence into it too: "You stupid fanboys think you're entitled to good characters just because the original trilogy had good characters, but you're too stupid to understand that Rian Johnson brilliantly subverted expectations and redefined what Star Wars can and should be by making all of the characters terrible. IT WAS SO UNEXPECTED AND UNEXPECTED IS ALWAYS GOOD!!!11!""
if Scotty wants those free Disney merch, theme park tickets and access to events badly he does what he is told so to not get mickey mouse to kick the living shit out of him
Yeah, they're all awful too. But there was always something about Snot Mendelson's smug, blind anti-DC/WB, pro-Disney lies that got to me specifically.
Eh he's alright, his need to bring up how a film treats its female characters is annoying but the man has written some decent/and not so decent stuff. Collider, Screen Junkies, IndieWire and especially The Mary Sue are way worse. I will say he can be a condescending ass a lot but I'm an asshole too so I can't be too hard on him for that part lol
I've seen all sorts of MSM shilling for Disney. Forbes has definitely been a major offender but almost all of the critics have been attacking the audience.
There have actually been a few forbes articles that have attacked the film and emphasised its weaknesses. I think they are just by one writer though. Of course there are plenty others that want to paint the film as a great success.
THEremiXFACTOR the best most scathing review by someone in msm was entertainment tonight Canada. that guy sounded like a real fan and he was pissed off.
Because I work in front of a computer I used to listen to Collider every day. I listened to their reviews of TFA and then went and watched that steaming dog turd of a movie. After that I never watched Collider again.
Collider has turned into a SJW,. PC agenda driven channel. Only good thing these days is the Schmoedown Movie Trivia show. Other than that their channel is generic SJW fluff shows.
I don't even care about that. Yes SJW stuff is typically racist and patronizing but I can put up with it, because these (although ignorant) people "mean well". It's when they can't be honest and hype up shit movies that makes them useless.
Mr. Dystopian Yeah I saw that the other day. " You'll never find a bigger Star Wars fan that me ! " What a pretentious bastard. As long as something has the words " Star Wars " written on it and isn't The Prequels or something made by George Lucas, he'll claim it's the greatest thing ever. And I don't know, he just pisses me off. His face, his voice, his mentality towards certain subjects. Absolutely horrendous " film critic ".
Doing these videos is cathartic to you. Listening to you after a long day of work rail against the bullshit of this world is cathartic to us. I got my dopamine replenished.
Realistically it is likely very much lower as RT doesn't count half stars and not recommended comments Also, the negative audience comments go into great detail where as the positive audience comments have very brief single line "best movie ever" bullshit comments
Close to 200K user reviews too...so who do we strust...300 or so hand picked "critics" shilling for Disney or just afraid of backlash if they give an honest review...or close to 200K fans who cared enough about leaving a review for this piece of sh*t movie? Makes you think...
The only way Disney can even save Star Wars now is by reversing course and declaring the Expanded Universe Canon. Treat it like a reboot and get back on course with the real fans. The money would be even bigger because everyone loved the Expanded Universe regardless.
Calling out the OT now, for all the flaws it has, is definitely damage control for TLJ. HG did that if I'm not mistaken. His entire channel is build on SW, he pretty much has no choice but to shill for it to not alienate most of his fanbase.
He's an OT fanboy and an EU hater. He acts like he is a hardcore fan but lacks intimate knowledge of the Star Wars universe and how it was maintained and built through the years. The vast majority of his material has been mostly on the OT and anything Prequel related gets mostly bashed. He's been getting a following ever since the Disney purchase and he's been sucking up to the mouse.
Grand Admiral Thrawn Exactly. He tries to come off as a "true fan" but in reality, he bashes on 90-95% of all the Lucas-era (the *_TRUE_* era) SW universe, while praising most of Di$ney's garbage like the ultra Pro-Di$ney fanboy he is. Don't forget other annoying as all hell shills like John Campea, Collider, 'Star Wars HQ', 'BattlefrontUpdates', Jenny Nicholson, 'Mike Zeroh', 'RedLetterMedia' and even 'Angry Joe' at times...
Have't really seen much of that list besides SWHQ and Angry Joe. I wholeheartedly agree that SWHQ are shills. I don't think I've ever seen them say anything negative about Star Wars. They along with Star Wars Theory and Stupendous Wave helped to spawn various theories that fans accepted even though there was little to no research made. They were excited about EA's Battlefront II and even passed over the problems that it has as well as EA's marketing choices. They have been probably the ones who are at fault for keeping the EA games afloat with their challenges and encouraging fan-made clips for the games. LegacyKillaHD and The Act Man did a much more objective reviews and follow ups of the game's release. SWHQ also praise the hell out of Rebels and the Sequel trilogy despite them not deserving all of it. I haven't closely followed Angry Joe but I've enjoyed a lot of his material regarding EA's Battlefront series, DC movies, and Star Wars. I think the only thing I didn't like was his backtracking on his TLJ review, but I don't think that makes him a shill. He just made a mistake in thinking that he had to "fix" his critique.
They can push their agenda and want females but it's a business. Do they not see who their main target audience is? Get rid of those then you won't have a successful brand. They are trying so hard to add audiences but it is not working. Why fix something that is not broken? Chinese, you ain't getting them ever to love SW's. Most girls go ask Disney are not into Sci-fi nor SW's. Even kids under 15 these days don't give 2 shits about SW's unless they have a parent invested in the franchise. SW's will only be successful because of it's loyal sorry to say MALE older fan base. I only became a fan because I liked the prequels as a young teen then luved animated Clone Wars and got into OT immediately. Man if you tell a gf to go watch SW well for me and she is normal and a 7+ she'd be like "NO" are you gay. Honestly, I had that response one.
Ehhhh, better is objective they didn't make as much as they would like which in business terms usually means its a flop even if the numbers seem huge, even more so in china where you have 1billion+ people, so while they didn't do as badly as the last jedi they didn't perform as expected. As an aside the average chinese movie goer doesn't go for the story/character they go to see attractive people, action and flashy effects etc, from that stand point its easy to see why the last jedi failed in china and say rogue one performed much better.
It seems like you need to get out and meet more girls. Especially if the ones you know equate you to being gay for liking Star Wars... wtf? I know plenty who are sci-fi freaks and love Star Wars. And yes, they're as disappointed with the way the series is going as any of the 'super dudes' such as yourself. The issue is not female cast members or female leads, but piss poor writers preaching political ideology through their entertainment. Oh, and for the record, this is hardly something exclusive to SJW's, and those who use the situation to preach their 'anti' SJW views (ASJW's?) are more kindred spirits than I imagine they'd like to think.
Well wanting women and being called "gay," it's passing off courting these groups as being PROGRESSIVE, when its just them wanting MONEY. Being female led isnt BAD, its when you're being disingenuous like disney and lucasarts is.
IKR; it's clearly the Dark Knight Rises: a guy heals from a major back injury in about five minutes, the main villain is taken out in the most lame way possible, and a literal Jedi force ghost shows up to move the plot forward with expository dialogue. There's even a subplot about a once cool character who has for no reason become a recluse, hiding from the outside world, until a flat-chested girl shows up and beats him up with her badass girl kungfu.
If by comparing Last Jedi to Dark Knight because both movies take a massive shit on beloved characters, then that comparison is correct. The only difference is, people are still blinded by the hype when it comes to the latter movie. Berserkasaurus Rex, there was nothing cool about that version of Batman to begin with. The idiot took the blame for crimes he didn't commit and betrayed everything he stood for, while misleading everybody for eight years because he was afraid they couldn't cope with the truth about Harvey Dent. So much for telling the Joker "this city is ready to believe in good" in that pretentious boat scene, eh? What a load of fucking bullshit. And to think people bitch about Affleck's Batman.
Gabriel I, his motivations are transparent once you learn one simple fact about John Campea. His wife works for Hasbro, and Hasbro makes Star Wars toys. Its not really necessary to do an expose on Camea given his motives are so shallow you can just make a sentence and its done.
yeah but his arrogant tone and talking down on fans for how wrong they are is really frustrating,he deserves an expose so that people can link it under his youtube videos in the future.
God I hate that guy looking at him. He ever steps foot in Toronto since he's from Hamilton 1 hour away, I honestly will kick his ass. He's just one of those guys you see and when they speak you instantly say I wanna kick his ass. Biggest LOSER + Shill.
lol, hes the biggest shill out there(maybe a tie with collider) but that doesnt mean he deserves a beat down, hes just a spokesperson for disney, thats all. I can bet what ever amount that 10 years from now, when hell be talking about starwars, hell talk down on the last jedi like he talks down on the prequels atm.
His work is divisive, yes. Some people love his work calling them hidden gems, and some people outright hate them. Thats just a fact. and I'm alright with that style. I can give nothing but respect to the man who's tanked so much unnecessary and downright vulgar hate without calling names (Melisa mcarthy), blaming critics/audiences (Alex Proyas), wanting to challenge critics to a brawl (uwe boll) or saying 'You're gonna see it anyway' like an arrogant ass (michael bay).
Hey guys I've got a great idea...let's demonize and insult half the country then act like we have no idea why the film makes half as much as the last one And guess what? the people who held on are gonna get sick of paying to watch their own propaganda soon too...it's boring
That's exactly what I'm waiting for; for Disney Star Wars to finally implode on itself, so we can finally pick up the pieces and start over. It's just like Ghostbusters 2016. All those 'Ghostbusters' fans that defended that trash to death, and claimed you were racist, sexist, and not a 'real' fan if you hated it. But now nobody cares about it, and all of those Ghostbusters side projects never happened.
He's the worst, he attacked me because I asked him of he had proof about allegations he was making that's it, nothing more, and he barraged me with abuse. Campea pretends to be the everyman and approachable but make no mistake he's a pretentious prick.
Also, lest we forget he made a point to say he would not be addressing any negative TLJ comments in his live chats because, and I quote "There are NO plotholes in The Last Jedi whatsoever" His wife is also an exec at Hasbro, that might be a thing.
I think you should make a video about Collider in more detail. After I saw a few of their Last Jedi videos, it became painfully clear that they're shills. They even tried to deny it in one of their videos, which was telling in itself. Plus, the one with the red face, who's usually with Kristian Harloff cannot lie/act at all. When you see him try to false hype TLJ, it's comical.
Make the videos! Chris Stuckman, John Campfuck and Collider (in order) are the worst. I really like Jeremy Jahns. I honestly feel like he's at least sincere.
It's quite frankly surreal to see all the media Shilling for a bad movie - I know they never defended any of the Prequels like this. Either the MSM is doing this due being bribed Disney, being too scared to criticize Disney, or for political reasons. In any case, it's shameful.
I just watched Mewtwo's Revenge, which was better than Last Jedi. At the very least, the main characters are likeable but not Mary Sues, the main villain had some sympathetic traits and his agenda was understandable, and it didn't end in a "fuck you" scenario that screwed with everything you knew about the franchise. The bad guy just grows a heart, then he packs up and leaves. How the fuck is it that a movie made to sell toys, games, and trading cards ends up being better than a major Hollywood movie?
John Campea 1 hr · Hootsuite · BLACK PANTHER. Incredible. Real world building with Wakanda. Great mythology building around the Black Panther. Solid character development. Top notch action. Great narrative. Wonderful villain (rare for Marvel). Killer soundtrack. Fav MCU film since Civil War. did anyone expect anything else coming from the biggest shill ever? no wonder he gets invited to every world premieres by disney.
I unsubscribed from Stuckman after watching his glowing review for The Last Jedi...then seeing that the movie was a dumpster fire that same night. HOW could you say it was a "damn good Star Wars movie" with a straight face? His credibility went six feet under as far as I am concerned.
Franklin Kendrick Stuckmann sounded like he was trying to make as much positives as possible to sale the damn movie for his audience, and tried making every part of the movie look so genius... that I was just embarrassed to even watch the review due to how insincere his feelings are to the film.
I understand not wanting to lose your free Disney movie tickets, but don't sugar coat the entire thing! Oh well... He went from being a weekly watch for me, to just an occasional curiosity.
I used to be a huge fan of his and waiting in anticipation when he put out a review, ever since watching the analysis video he did for Drive. Since 2015, something changed about how he approaches his videos and him being really protective of his popularity.
Do one on Mundanecuck. I think reviewing his hypocrisy would be interesting... also I think he's crying in your comment section about not being a shill.
I actually wanna see you call out Mundane Matt AND Grace Randolph in a full video just to see them react. I would get a legit kick out of that, but the REAL big one, the White Whale of Shills, is StarWarsExplained. OH GOODNESS YES. RUN HIM OVER WITH A DUMP TRUCK!
I'm curious, how do you think he's a shill? I find him to be honest in his opinions but he doesn't say that his opinion is fact. If something in Star Wars bothers him then he lets it be known like in EA's Battlefront II for instance. He also tries to explain the problems that he has (or that other people may have) in Star Wars by taking his knowledge of it into account and doing some research. He'll make a couple of mistakes on small details or focusing on one aspect or making a small claim without previous knowledge or experience to back it up.
because every single one of his views conveniently is "What is popular" of the moment. At the time he gave his views on Battlefront 2, it was popular to rag on it with microtransactions. He is getting all this access and free stuff to bargain off for views and compared to even Stupendous Wave, Cancrizans, Jennsaari, and so on, the dude is as Milq Toast as you get for reviews and videos. It is "baby's Star Wars lore" videos in the same way ComicsExplained is for Marvel (and FUCK is he a shill for SJW Marvel.) If he came out and flatlined on TLJ, you can bet his views would drop. He pretends to be "one of us" fans as it were but all this access, all these free toys? Yeah not all that glitters is gold and boy oh boy that is the mark of a Disney shill, especially when the dude is doubling down on the same points (that is to say every single plot point of the film,) that Rian Johnson is but gets debunked every time. If you have to defend every single plot point: It's not good. Those of us that liked the Prequels had to learn the same lessons: You can still like something even if you recognize that objectively speaking it's garbage. Now compared to the Sequels, the Prequels are a masterpiece, but for their time they were poorly executed, badly scripted, poorly acted, CG siestas with actually cool fight sequences peppered throughout. Now with the sequels out you also see "oh shit there's an actual story here that tied into the Original Trilogy!" And yeah, back then it ALSO took 50 books and 2 TV shows to make the Prequels "good" same as the sequels. But his videos have become increasingly pandering to the point he is exactly the type of dude he described here and in the video about Kevin Smith: A shill.
Well said... I see myself as a fan (read the novels) and have always appreciated star wars explained for simple answers, but now that the lore killing, poorly written, world destroying, awful story known as TLJ is out, he defends and explains the "lore" as if bad writing choices, poor storytelling, and a lack of understanding 40 years of world building weren't to blame.
The Devil's Due I don't think it's convenient to make videos of what's currently popular in Star Wars. His livelihood is based on UA-cam and that's where he gets most of his money from. So he has to market his audience with the current news and material, but at the same time he does it so that he has room to expand on the topic. It's a good marketing strategy. When it came to Battlefront II I don't think he needed to get into EA's marketing and business strategy because that's not his focus. The story, characters, and impact that the game had for the Star Wars universe is. That's why he's been doing the campaign episodes. It is true that he doesn't do long videos like other Star Wars UA-camrs such as Stupendous Wave, Jensaari, GreyJedi91, Evannova95, and Antoine Bandele, and it is one of the complaints that I have for him. He "sells" Star Wars "piecemeal" because that's how he can get a lot of views and therefore a lot of revenue just for something small. Does that make him a shill? I don't know. Maybe, maybe not. He does have negative opinions about certain things such as the artwork of the current Marvel Star Wars series (it's atrocious), parts of the story for the Battlefront II campaign, and even understands the position that fans who have a negative opinion on the Sequel Trilogy and Rebels even though he doesn't always agree. I have yet to see him act like the shills in Collider or even Star Wars HQ where they lash out at or ignore criticisms and put up nothing but praise for Lucasfilm/Di$ney material. I don't know where he gets toys. Are they free? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe they're gifts from fans? Maybe he bought them himself? I've seen him do a few giveaways but not as much as SWHQ. Does that make him a shill? I don't know. That means that a company that sells merchandise wants him to sell it for them and provide interest, but does that make him a shill? Maybe. I mean, if I did videos on Star Wars using my own camera I would want to put up my Star Wars collection behind me so that I let people know that I'm a Star Wars fan and know what I'm talking about. It shows that I put work and energy into being a fan and care about the franchise. If some company wants my help to sell something Star Wars related I might help them. It depends. Indeed, I'm one of those fans who love the Prequels despite its faults. I remember as a kid I would act out the podracing scene with my own miniature vehicle as it played; I would imagine myself a Jedi in the Geonosis arena slaying droids and Geonosians alike in my yard with my toy lightsaber; I would remake the Clone Wars and Order 66 with my own action figures. Honestly, I was like any other kid fan of Star Wars. The Prequels are poorly scripted and poorly executed but only in a handful of places are they poorly acted. CGI siestas? I think you mean "fiesta," and, please, that's an poor, old argument. They were were really well done for their time and they had more special effects, sets, and miniatures built in all three movies than the OT ever had. Hell, the Avengers had more CGI than any of the Prequels. They just did it better because it was seven years since ROTS came out. SWE definitely panders, I'll give you that much, but it's mostly to the current canon crowd. Compare this to the Lore Master (formerly known as Fact Free) who does both canon and Legends videos but they are still pretty short. Does this make him a shill? Maybe. Or it just makes him a fan of all of Star Wars and wants it to do well. We'll have to wait and see if something legitimately bad happens to the franchise that'll make him rock in his place. TLJ may not have done it but perhaps Solo might. You do make a somewhat convincing argument, but I'll take the "wait and see" approach when it comes to him.
Journalism in general has jumped the shark. Journalistic integrity used to be taken seriously in the interest of maintaining credibility. The news industry has abandoned that ethic for the sake of pontification. As I watch the landscape of consumers react to this, I think the industry is going to find that selling credibility is easy. Getting it back - not so much.
I'm so sick of being called a cry baby fanboy whos critiscm arnt valid everywhere I go if I voice any critiscm at all about the last jedi most frustrating defence I have heard a lot off is that the force dosent have any rules or limits because its "space magic" and it can solve or do anything and wanting it to not be a be all end all deus ex machine is stupid as its "space magic" it dosent need to make any sense at all be coherent at all uuuuuuuuugggggggggghhhhhh any way thank you for the vid capn
Wilma Perkins I absolutely hate it when people use some variation of the “The genre is fantasy and because fantasy is not realistic, that means it’s okay to break your universe’s rules” fallacy. No, it’s never okay to break pre-established rules. You can add to the list of rules for sure, but you can’t take away once it’s out there. People will notice, and people will remember, and they should. It doesn’t matter if this is Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. Every genre of fiction demands logical consistency for the audience to take it seriously. If the writers break that consistency and then some viewers notice the hole in logic and point it out, that’s a problem. Unfortunately the way it works is that people are stupid that they blindly parrot whatever the PR man says, so companies have a major incentive to lie and pretend they didn’t just break the canon, because they don’t want to risk having more viewers realize the truth and then stop watching. The conscientious thing to do is to admit you screwed up, that it was a mistake and you will do better next time, and then actually stick to your canon from here on out, but nobody likes the shame of admitting they’re wrong, even more so when it could hurt their wallet. And in most cases, like Mark Hamill for instance, they’re contractually obliged to keep their true thoughts silent and sing praises day in and day out about the film even when they actually hate it and know it’s awful.
One of my friends makes this same argument, basically saying, "so you're complaining about logic in a world that has space wizards..." and it really makes me feel frustrated because again, fantasy isn't about "anything goes", otherwise it wouldn't be interesting, it'd be a random glop of mashed potatoes slapped on the wall.
Agreed anything goes is boring and slap together crap. by these peoples logic Psykers from 40k/Guardians from Destiny/Sith and jedi from Star wars are all the exact same thing cause they use a form of "space magic"
Pretty sure Movie Bob is a shill. He tore apart BVS in a three part video, but defended TLJ. He even said Snyder is a good director which makes zero sense if you hated BVS. That's like me saying Michael Bay is my favorite director but I hate all the transformer movies.
Yeah, I didn't like that either. Not sure if he's a shill because of that due to the amount of work that went into BvS. He predicted TFA's plot really, really well but somehow after watching it he didn't have a negative view of the movie. I don't get it. But I find him to be better than Chris Stuckmann and Jeremy Jahns in how he reviews movies and analyzes pop culture. But a hardcore Star Wars fan he is not, so he shouldn't try to explain Star Wars to us.
I'm not sure which I hate more, the shills or the fanboys who white knight for a company that doesn't give a damn about their existence..damn children the lot of them.
Chris Stuckmann was the first shill I left since he was the only reason I spent money on a ticket. Many more followed, in fact just about every huge UA-cam channel. The problem with big channels with huge followings is that they're so worried about not seeing content ahead of the audience and thus losing clicks that they're prepared to overlook EVERY problem with a festering turd of a film. It was like they all read the same memo from Disney which described the film as 'bold' and 'full of twists' and 'unexpected' like that was necessarily a good thing.
I've seen movies where he complains about clichés and tropes and plot that has been reused but he doesn't say the same thing about TFA or TLJ. He doesn't even try to correct himself when he makes mistakes.
I am aware of the fact that Chris Stuckmann has too high an opinion of himself to admit he might have been wrong - that's a quality that is a pet hate of mine.
I wouldn't mind seeing a takedown of AngryJoe. He doesn't seem to respond well when people criticize the new Star Wars films, and he responds even less well when people point out Rey's obvious overpowered nature and poor character writing. It's kind of infuriating when he lumps everyone who criticizes these Disney movies together as being on some sort of hate bandwagon when in reality, it's just a lot of people with opinions that happen to fall in line with one another.
Poe Ghost angry Jose ..is a Disney shill because he is employed by Disney ..I like his gaming reviews but his movie reviews are evident he is holding his masters dick...yeah he's a shill
I would like to see a target on Stuckman's face. Oddly enough, I would also like to see Redlettermedia under serious scrutiny. I lost my love for those guys after Force Awakens.
Mike Stoklassa, the guy who plays Plinkett, has always been either an idiot, a liar or both. . thestarwarstrilogy.com/starwars/FILES%2F2014%2F09%2FRed-Letter-Media-Episode-I-Review-A-Study-in-Fanboy-Stupidity.pdf.axdx
Grace deletes dissenting comments and she's given Kathleen a wide birth in covering the China debacle, in what looks to me like damage control given she has praised Kennedy and is a big defender of her. Any other movie with that story attached to it would have multiple videos from Grace; she goes for click bait vids ... except when it could affect a friend or idol. She seems crazy too, claiming to like a movie in a review and than months later composing a 'worst movies of the year' list which has the very movie she said she liked?
Star Wars The Last Jedi on rotten tomatoes: critics 91% everyone else 48%, That's a 53 point difference between the Critics and the Rest of Society. This is either Mass Delusion among Society or Mass Collusion among Critics. My money's on the Critics.
And that's where you have a problem, Critics are there to critique. To tell us whether a movie is worth watching or not. Not to shine the arses of the movie makers. We're supposed to be getting a subjective review from the point of view of the critic. Not an advertisement for the movie regardless of how bad it is. Critics are constantly thinking up new ways to praise a movie without revealing its shortcomings. What they should be doing is pointing those shortcomings out and calling out movie studios when they produce shit. I guess that when Siskel and Ebert (Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton in Australia) went the rest of the critics had their balls removed. A pity really, I'd like to hear a critic really savage a movie again.
I dont agree with a lot of stuff he says either..but didn't disney make Rogue One? He wasn't a big fan of that. Mike didn't say the best things about Last Jedi.
Hello Greedo has to be the worst shill you mention... Oh and don’t forget I hate Everything (IHE) his review is “Yeah there are problems with the film.... but it’s all the fans fault”
Daniel Walton oh. I didn't know Mike Zeroh had negative comments about TLJ and rogue one. It seems like he's always gushing over Disney Star Wars whenever I briefly watch his videos. Hello Greedo is pure garbage.
I can't stand to hear Kevin Smith Speak. the best thing he's done is Silent Bob. He should just shut up and do that. Hello Greedo , and Mike Zeroh are competing to be the next Biggest condescending Douche. At least Dash was wise enough to know it was time to just walk away.
I find him so OVERRATED. I remember how he tried to write Daredevil, claiming he's going to bring him back to his former glory, after Carl Kesel's light-hearted run (which veered away from the usual DARKETTY DARK-DARK, NINJAS and DEAD GIRLFRIENDS). So what did Kevin Smith do? Give us DARKETTY DARK DARK SHIT, NINJAS and Bullseye killing yet ANOTHER DAREDEVIL GIRLFRIEND! HOW ORIGINAL!!
Some things aren't worth making excuses for or defending. People defend the prequels, myself included, but that's due to the story being very good. The execution aspect is up to debate as people are either fond of the execution or not fond of the execution. I myself wanted to enjoy these new Star Wars films, Episodes in particularly as they are the ones that really pertain to the main story. And I have not enjoyed the story VII and VIII have told. I wish they were good, but the fact is they aren't good at all. And that sucks as someone who can see why the Prequels in my eyes are good, while understanding why some aren't fond of them. But when a studio, director, celebrates and/or online film critics have to go out of their way and say this film is good, and if you don't like it it's because you're too stupid, or you're just sexist, racist, homophobic, etc. or make some other excuse for the film, you really messed up. Same when these people who are supposed to be reliable when they make reviews online. As long as it doesn't resemble the prequels in anyway, it's automatically good and you just don't understand it and that's why you don't like it. No, I do understand it, and that's why I'm not a fan of these new films. George Lucas didn't tell people you're too stupid to understand what he was doing nor did he let others defended him when criticism came his way. He explains what he's doing in the DVD documentaries and commentaries so you can see and hear what it was he wanted to achieve and then let's the audience decide if they like it or not. He didn't go out of his ways to make excuses for his films. Perhaps he should've defended himself at times when fan hate for him got really toxic, but he didn't. At least he let his films speak for themselves after it was all said and done. This damage control happening with the new films from "Respectable Critics and Celebrates" and those involved with the making of the films is just too sad to watch quite frankly. They need to accept that there are films within the franchise that even the biggest Star Wars fans are not fond of. Just accept it and try and make a good film next time, though I'm not sure IX will be much better after these two films.
Jared Wignall You may or may not have already experienced this yourself, but there are really great games and novels from the EU that tell an excellent story of the galaxy post-Battle of Endor. If you’re interested in seeing the Star Wars galaxy as it really was, not how Disney pretends it is, check out Star Wars Dark Forces, Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 and its expansion Mysteries of the Sith, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Not only does this series have some of the best level design and gameplay mechanics implemented in a game and feel incredibly immersive as a real Jedi Knight, but the story and music is so on point, it really feels like you’re in the middle of a canon Star Wars movie, like one of the main George Lucas ones. And actually you technically are with JK, as the FMV cutscenes for that game were actually filmed in real life with real actors, with the total run time going upwards of 40 minutes in that game. And I’m sure you’ve already heard of the famous Thrawn trilogy.
Jared Wignall Btw I have a very similar opinion to you. I love the prequels because I understand and love the brilliant story behind them, and although I feel the execution is perfect in Revenge of the Sith and almost so in Phantom Menace, I am not oblivious to some of the blatant flaws the films objectively had, and I can completely understand how old fans could’ve been turned off by them (though how those same prequel haters then welcome the Disney films with open arms is utterly beyond me).
Gallifreyan Buccaneer Yeah, the old games and books were fantastic. Unfortunately, Disney says all that doesn’t matter and the new stuff will be better than ever, though they’re just redoing what was already done and make it so boring and uninspired for the most part. And while some books in the old EU weren’t the best, there was enough that would’ve made great material for the basis of the sequel trilogy when they decided not to go with Lucas’s ideas. But starting over with the EU, despite over 35+ years of amazing books and games that told some of the best stories of Star Wars that weren’t part of the films, was a bad move due to the ideas they have been putting out that are original in the books aren’t really good, so they just take old ideas and take a different spin on the stories people enjoyed or at least around the area of such stories and they aren’t better. It basically says that for all those people, who enjoyed years of reading the 35+ years of books and comics was for nothing. I would’ve enjoyed seeing the Thrawn Trilogy on the big screen or something along those lines. That would’ve been amazing to have seen. But alas, this isn’t what we saw. Would’ve been cool to see Mara Jade Skywalker, Ben Skywalker and the Solo kids in some fashion, but at least nobody can take those stories from us. Nor the games. Shadows of the Empire is a great game that takes place between films. The concept alone would be great for a big screen adaptation or something of a similar approach would be great to see with such a concept.
The biggest flaw to the Prequels is, there was too much story to fit in 2 or 3 hour movies. really, the Prequels should have been more streamlined, and the story in the Prequels we got should have been a three or four season long TV show. That way, you have much more Time to develop the Characters. In fact, The Clone Wars proves this point.
Jared Wignall You know I’ve heard about Shadows of the Empire and actually discovered the main character and his ship from that story in a mod for Dark Forces. I’ll definitely check it out and see if I can get my hands on it next Steam/GOG sale if it’s available. Thing is, I made my peace with the whole “not canon anymore” ordeal. The way I see it, you can either live by the LucasArts/Lucasfilms canon where the 6 movies are canon and everything else licensed but fan-made is EU, and just pretend that the way it’s always been is still true, or you can be unhappy and go along with what Disney says is canon. Now you might say I’m just in denial, and to that I merely ask, which canon do you think is better? I mean, would you actually want such amazing stories like Force Unleashed to really be put in the same category as Force Awakens and Last Jedi? C’mon! I would feel insulted if they dared place the good Star Wars in the same lousy category as the shit Star Wars. I say they unintentionally did us fans a favor when they excommunicated us from the canon. Now we can continue to live our original canon before the Disney takeover without having to reconcile the new crappy movies with the older material. Also, the beauty of the EU is that it was inherently democratic. People flocked to the content which was genuinely good, and the ones which weren’t didn’t sell so they died out in obscurity. That’s why the EU was so genius. It’s a self-correcting system to keep itself high-quality. The other benefit of course, is that it by definition tailors the “canon” to each fan’s individual interpretation. Because the EU was always in this quasi-canon state where it was not as canon as the movies, but not totally non-canon either, in many ways it was really just left up to the viewer’s discretion. So if you liked a story, you were given the freedom to believe it’s a part of the canon; if someone else doesn’t like it, they don’t have to believe it’s canon. That’s why it’s so popular to say “the EU was great,” because every fan had their own interpretation of what parts of the EU should be canon. Of course there is obviously general consensus over which ones were the best because as I said earlier it’s a meritocratic system where only the high quality is popular, but even then the audience is given the freedom to create their own Star Wars fantasy.
Also, I'd LOVE to see more videos exposing Shills! MundaneMatt is one particular guy I despise, and he's a 100% Shill, as the whole Candid App controversy made very clear.
I really liked Chris Stuckman for his in depth analysis of movies and sometimes brutal honesty...he picked apart the prequels...so i expected at least the same for TLJ...NOPE!...This is the first time I realized the Shill Virus was alive and well...next was Angry Joe and his head spinning backpedalling rants on how terrible TLJ was then posting up a video saying how he got things so wrong anf TLJ is actually a good movie...
Christ Stuckman's videos on explaining Star Wars is very cringeworthy. He comes off as one of the movie reviewers who write articles that try to downplay critiques on TFA and TLJ.
I used to like Kevin Smith and still like the View Askew stuff but I was surprised by his reactions and those of popular "critics" - blaming fans for either expecting too much or just being racist/sexist/whatever. The Last Jedi felt like a huge slap in the face, almost like they made it to intentionally spite fans or ruin the franchise.
Thank you for this video!! I have been struggling with many people that could not accept the GARBAGE of Episode 8, because they are so mind controlled for the media.
I imagine old Lucas Film would have tried to make a good product. Current Lucas Film has been gutted of there old guarded and. Replace by yes men and those loyal to Kennedy and her ideology. Those of the old guarded must bend a knee and agree with the Zealot. Much like what happened to Marvel. I imagine those who work there sense the beginning are dieing inside at seeing what being done to Star Wars.
John Campea actually thinks that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a cinematic masterpiece. He enjoys Suicide Squad and likes Jared Leto's Joker. I mean, that speaks for itself. What an Shill!
Glad that you pointed this out. Forbes coverage of TLJ has been unusually fawning. Why the - bleep- does Forbes care so much about a damn Star Wars movie.. Oh - head slap- it's Disney now. News Flash: They know the movie sucks. They know that it did not connect with the core fan base. They know the core fanbase has rejected it. They know they're about to lose (or have lost) a lot of money. Sorry Disney / Lucasfilm. NOBODY CARES ABOUT THESE CHARACTERS. Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, who gives a bleep.
I don't get the hyped casuals, this fans of the ''New Canon'' by Disney, this self declared ''STAR WARS'' fans eating any new junk with the SW brand on it. They are not part of the true fandom ! They don't get most of STAR WARS references reguarding the lore of the SAGA ! This SW hooligans are illiterate when it comes to EU novels, comicbooks or games. As soon Disney stops making new SW named films the casuals look for other junk to consume.
WorldClassBullshitters I implore you to do a shill exposure vids for each person! A full video, separate vids, podcast, whatever format. Ones for Stuckmann, Collider, Jeremy Jahns, Angry Joe, John Campea, Red Letter Media, And Kevin Smith. Expose these hacks! Scott Mendelson is only the tip of the iceberg!
It seems like most channels devoted to Star Wars news and speculation have been revealed by Last Jedi as shills of sorts. Even if they don't hope to benefit from sucking up to Lucasfilm, they have to keep enthusiasm for Star Wars speculation alive for the sake of their channels.
I've seen movies where he complains about clichés and tropes and plot that has been reused but he doesn't say the same thing about TFA or TLJ. He doesn't even try to correct himself when he makes mistakes.
"He's making a shill-list, he's checking it twice! He's gonna find out which shill isn't very nice!"
this getting out of hand, now there are 2 of them
Firestarter Lmao
Shilldlers list.
"You just made my, shill-list"
Insiders are bad for the feedback loop they only serve short-term bonuses as the brand burns in the background call out as many as you can do John Campea vs "Corporate Overlords" he claims he's so aniti corp but i call him captain caveat.
John Campea is the worst. The absolute worst.
"The Last Jedi is 'The Dark Knight' of the Star Wars Saga" God that was painful to read.
Call out John Campea PLEASE!!! I CANT STAND THAT HACK!!! Collider too.
That Rotten Tomato score of 48% is real. It had been 50% even.
CAMPEA!!! ... I know you mentioned Collider, but he needs his own segment considering how much shit he's talked about fans & online communities going back to the GB reboot & Fant4stick.
What do you think of Angry Joe? He came out hating it at first and then he backtrack on it.
I think he's being held hostage or something
Angry Joe may not be a shill. He just has no integrity and he’s afraid of Disney and their fanboys (which is worse, in my opinion). That TLJ back peddling video was one of the most dishonest things I’ve ever seen. Definitely earned an unsub from me.
angry joe is just plain stupid. that's all.
Yes. Please expose more shills.
I'm so happy the terrible Disney Star Wars movies are making people like the prequels more. I swear if I ever get the money I'm going to buy Star Wars back from Disney and make everything they did non-canon
Gage Dubois Just create something new inspired by the older greats, just as Lucas did.
Firestarter no his idea is better
It's also making the Expanded Universe look better by comparison(not that it wasn't better to begin with).
I can't even imagine how much disney would need to be offered to give up star wars. I think disney has so much money and power at this point that they stand to profit more from keeping the rights and locking them away from any other talented and driven companies.
Kwazy mofo exactly. With Fox it'll be a monopoly with no need to improve.
Whoa whoa whoa? “Too stupid? Too racist?” Hmmm? I wonder where I seen that forced in a series that was beloved? *coughs coughs* Marvel.
Our bois should cover that too here.
*forced*
"The Han Solo Movie flopped huge in America, and why that's a good thing"
Kayoko Ann Patterson because star wars is horrible now therefore no one is looking forward to the next one
So many people defend all of the many legitimate criticisms of this movie with "OK, so yeah, that's bad, but it broke conventions because it was SUPPOSED to be bad.... and that's what makes it so good!"
It's like the argument version of putting "my biggest weakness is that I work too hard" on a job application.
Steven Brule
Hmm, that sounds about right.
If we simply redefine "good" to mean "bad", than TLJ was one heck of a "good" movie.
IT WAS SO UNEXPECTED AND UNEXPECTED IS ALWAYS GOOD!!!11!""
if Scotty wants those free Disney merch, theme park tickets and access to events badly he does what he is told so to not get mickey mouse to kick the living shit out of him
HerDark Majesty I'm sure he'll enjoy handling Micky's "camera".
Yeah I am not watching Chris ever again... ducking hypocrite.
HerDark Majesty I
YES!!! Finally, somebody else takes aim at Mendelson's shill-tastic ways. He's really one of the worst I've ever seen.
Yes. Kevin Smith next. And ScreenJunkies
Only Rob Cain wrote the truth about TLJ! www.forbes.com/sites/robcain/
John Campea no question.
Don't forget John campea, he's the king of shills
Because I work in front of a computer I used to listen to Collider every day. I listened to their reviews of TFA and then went and watched that steaming dog turd of a movie. After that I never watched Collider again.
Yes exactly. :-(
Collider has turned into a SJW,.
I say do John Campea. There's so much material from his pathetic shill channel to fill up an entire video.
Mr. Dystopian He's the worst. A sellout little fucking bitch.
He claims to be the "biggest" Star Wars fan, when really he's just the biggest piece of shit.
Mr. Dystopian Yeah I saw that the other day. " You'll never find a bigger Star Wars fan that me ! "
What a pretentious bastard.
Mr. Dystopian you mean John "I left the corporate overlords so pay me!" Campea, *The shill indenial*
Mr. Dystopian please do Campea. He’s a sell out.
Doing these videos is cathartic to you. Listening to you after a long day of work rail against the bullshit of this world is cathartic to us. I got my dopamine replenished.
Please do one on collider used to watch them but their attitude towards the last Jedi just made me sick
You forgot to include the nostalgia critic as a shill
Oh, he's mentioned Walker and his bunch before, they'll get there come-upance.
sojonin in another video or did I just comment before that point was reached in this video?
The group has mentioned Channel Awesome collectively on a few occasions in passing, i don't remember where.
sojonin interesting. Also, have they ever mentioned hellogreedo being a shill? I almost forgot to point out his inconsistency
He made a video making fun of most of it.
Was that Photoshop, or has TLJ dropped to 48%? What a beautiful day.
It's true. All of it.
It has dropped.
Realistically it is likely very much lower as RT doesn't count half stars and not recommended comments
Also, the negative audience comments go into great detail where as the positive audience comments have very brief single line "best movie ever" bullshit comments
Close to 200K user reviews too...so who do we strust...300 or so hand picked "critics" shilling for Disney or just afraid of backlash if they give an honest review...or close to 200K fans who cared enough about leaving a review for this piece of sh*t movie? Makes you think...
john campea shill video
John campea, I know by now it's cliché and it's like beating a dead horse, but it'll be fun to hear
The only way Disney can even save Star Wars now is by reversing course and declaring the Expanded Universe Canon. Treat it like a reboot and get back on course with the real fans. The money would be even bigger because everyone loved the Expanded Universe regardless.
Also giving Kathleen Kennedy the boot would help immensely in saving Star Wars.
"I cover the film industry" more like "I cover FOR the film industry"
Shill call out on HELLO GREEDO! Please!!! All his stuff is cringe worthy now.
Calling out the OT now, for all the flaws it has, is definitely damage control for TLJ. HG did that if I'm not mistaken.
His entire channel is build on SW, he pretty much has no choice but to shill for it to not alienate most of his fanbase.
HelloGreedo's crap was *_ALWAYS_* "cringeworthy" cause he's always been a shill that likes to masquerade (pun intended) as a "true fan"...
Angry Joe. Call out Angry Joe.
exiled30 I think he's only guilty of being stupid, though.
Lol. Razorfist roasted him so hard I bet he'll still be feeling the sting 20 years from now.
From what I have heard the other Star wars movies were better received by China than the last Jedi.
They print money.
Obviously it is not about money anymore.
It is about agenda and changing society.
Well wanting women and being called "gay," it's passing off courting these groups as being PROGRESSIVE, when its just them wanting MONEY. Being female led isnt BAD, its when you're being disingenuous like disney and lucasarts is.
"The Last Jedi is The Dark Knight of Star Wars" i literally spit coffee, on what drugs this guy is?
David Rizzuto i liked it.......
That's a perfect description of Disney.
please make an expose on john campea, he sounds like the biggest shill ever.
I can bet what ever amount that 10 years from now, when hell be talking about starwars, hell talk down on the last jedi like he talks down on the prequels atm.
and yet zack snyder is still probably hated more. He never threw fits, called names and or pointed fingers despite all the critisism, razzies, etc.
Eclipse It's easy for people to hate what they don't understand I don't know what more I can say about that.
Maybe because he's an objectively worse director and storyteller.
Eclipse or bitched on Twitter
His work is divisive, yes. Some people love his work calling them hidden gems, and some people outright hate them. Thats just a fact. and I'm alright with that style. I can give nothing but respect to the man who's tanked so much unnecessary and downright vulgar hate without calling names (Melisa mcarthy), blaming critics/audiences (Alex Proyas), wanting to challenge critics to a brawl (uwe boll) or saying 'You're gonna see it anyway' like an arrogant ass (michael bay).
Eclipse i don't care about what celebrities do or say as long as they put out good content. Snyder doesnt
Hey guys I've got a great idea...let's demonize and insult half the country then act like we have no idea why the film makes half as much as the last one
And guess what? the people who held on are gonna get sick of paying to watch their own propaganda soon too...it's boring
nealkriesterer Well, rather over half, seeing as Trump won by some pretty surprising margins in certain states.
I would love to see one done on John Campea! He's such a shill that he made a video explaining why he's not a shill lol. Guilty conscience?
Shill knows when it's getting exposed.
Hahaha so true, i lmaoed when he was trying to prove that he is not a shill.
Evilsdemise
Don't be upset on their kind personslly. Some said find5 min of your dwy to DISLIKE every video on their site.
Collider is owned by Disney. Nuff said.
In any case, it's shameful.
the New Hope is classic art. TLJ is modern art and modern art is shit.

BLACK PANTHER.
Thank you SOO MUCH for calling out Chris Stuckmann. That piece of GARBAGE! posing as a reviewer.
Rotten Tomatoes has become a shill when it was originally designed to be a nice tool for fans.
Do one on Mundanecuck. I think reviewing his hypocrisy would be interesting... also I think he's crying in your comment section about not being a shill.
Would have been cool
I actually wanna see you call out Mundane Matt AND Grace Randolph in a full video just to see them react. I would get a legit kick out of that, but the REAL big one, the White Whale of Shills, is StarWarsExplained. OH GOODNESS YES. RUN HIM OVER WITH A DUMP TRUCK!
sidebar: To the person replying to me, if you want me to read what you said, you might want to unblock me XD
It is "baby's Star Wars lore" videos in the same way ComicsExplained is for Marvel (and FUCK is he a shill for SJW Marvel.)
If he came out and flatlined on TLJ, you can bet his views would drop.
Chris stuckman I found it so weird when he liked the last jedi now all his other reviews I just look at with a side eye.
I find it odd that people are making fun of you for obvious criticism. In south america star wars was so hated it didn't even become a meme.
Star Wars is science fantasy NOT science fiction!
The ultimate shill, John Campea.
I'm not sure which I hate more, the shills or the fanboys who white knight for a company that doesn't give a damn about their existence..damn children the lot of them.
Jaeger_Bishop at least the shills are getting paid
Well true, the fanboys are the cheapest whores out there.
Han Solo trailer might end up getting more dislikes than even the Ghostbusters 2016 reboot. That's why they're afraid of releasing it now.
Joe likes movies with big explosions. He's a simpleton. Why would you care about his film opinions?
call out Collider and Campea,,,, most of all John Rocha with Collider.
John Rocha is the biggest SJW race baiting troll on Collider these days...definitely deserves calling out.

Mr sunday movies shills pretty hard for star wars
Ur TheDuke Yes it is quite disappointing. I stop listening to him and Mason after their review for the force awakes :/
I would like to see a target on Stuckman's face. Oddly enough, I would also like to see Redlettermedia under serious scrutiny. I lost my love for those guys after Force Awakens.
Redlettermedia have never been the same since Jessi left.
Mike Stoklassa, the guy who plays Plinkett, has always been either an idiot, a liar or both.

She is batshit nuts too, it's like she'll start to make a good point and then say she loves porgs and it's like oh...
Lunatic shill
Star Wars The Last Jedi on rotten tomatoes: critics 91% everyone else 48%, That's a 53 point difference between the Critics and the Rest of Society. This is either Mass Delusion among Society or Mass Collusion among Critics. My money's on the Critics.
Simple enough, really. People who are paid to watch a film like it; people who pay to watch the film dislike it.
A pity really, I'd like to hear a critic really savage a movie again.
,Shills will blame Russian bots.
Well spoken
"The Last Jedi is The Dark Knight of Star Wars."
I nearly threw up.
More like "The Last Jedi" is the "Batman V Superman" of Star Wars...and "Solo" is in line to being its "Justice League".
Disney bought Star Wars for 4 Billion Dollars, and may end up devaluing it so is worth a paltry (for business) few Million by the end of this.
I have a question: What's the point of adding politics in movies? Like what does it accomplish?
A feel-good effect for people that agree with whatever view is presented. Makes the story suck ass, though. It's a trade-off.
videos like this where people complain about it.
It's called social engineering.
Mr. Cuddlesworth pushing an agenda
Mr. Cuddlesworth nothing much except it's probably one of the most powerful brainwashing tool for the younger generation.
Linda Hamilton from the Terminator would destroy him and all Disney's minions, that was a heroine. That's what I want in a female heroine.
Add Hello Greedo to the shill list
I dont agree with a lot of stuff he says either..but didn't disney make Rogue One? He wasn't a big fan of that.
Mike didn't say the best things about Last Jedi.
Ayhan Celebi I agree with Hello Greedo, but I actually really like Mike's content.
the 'star wars explained' guy is a total shill too.
Aside from Clerks and Dogma, I didn't really like any of his other films. I really do not get the hype over him.
Very interesting and enlightening. Where would critics like Doug Walker or Red Letter Media rank?
Grey OfPTA RLM probably near bottom since they ripped it to shreads... even during the Christmas Video. Can't wait for the Plinket review. =)
