Good test Evan, i found it interesting you got under 60kph with the 19t pinion changed over when i ended up getting just over 60kph with the already installed 16t when i speed tested mine. I agree the shocks are tuned perfect on this rig and overall quality is great for an under $200 basher👍

I never had luck with any of the 3 Rlaarlos I owned, the most common issues on all of them were the Steer Arms kept popping off the ball mount. I always got the first releases of them, so Im not sure if the arms are still just pressure fitted onto the pivot balls, I had to take a needle nose pliers with me everytime to keep popping them back on, I returned all three.
Ya their first few models weee based off the WL toys chassis which would happen on those too. This model is built very different. It’s engineered and designed very well. Some people report problems but that’s going to be with anything. This is easily my favorite model below the Arrma 3s line.
This is by far your best video yet! The editing is really well done. I was actually entertained the whole time. You and your kids are hilarious and that adds so much to the videos. I think I am going to buy one of these now after seeing how well it did at the Derby City RC Thunder Dome.
I don’t drive it all the time or anything, but it’s designed and put together very well. Parts and tolerances are still tight, plus they sell many upgrade parts. I did an install and test of their upgrades too. Project called The Goblinator. Tested it even harder there. It’s definitely held up well.
@@DerbyCityRCI love it but I sent mine back due to servo issues and right left excess toe in. There are no rear toe adjustments. Fun and fast! I am waiting for a replacement.
@erniebusch4384 hope your replacement is better! Rear toe in is actually normal for a 4wd RC. Rear toe in, and front toe is typically out a little bit.

I’m not sure. The only other one I’ve tried was a Hosim battery, but those really aren’t any good. Just fake measurements of the battery tray and find a battery that fits. I personally like CNHL, Zeee, Gens Ace, and Hoovo for budget friendly batteries, but Ovonics are good too.

Thanks!! Unfortunately no this is the metal version and comes with a different transmitter without a gyro. However the one you have is actually a rebranded HOTRC I believe?? So try to search for videos on that transmitter. Hopefully that helps!
Still waiting on a version 2 of the 10208, but the way they sit now, I’d go with the terminator. It’s smaller and bit slower, but fully upgradable. Better made overall, though with taller shocks, the 10208 is super fun too and has definitely proven to be durable.
What size it the Alan driver you use to remove the lock screw in the 16 t gear to install the speed gear the one included just spins wont back the screw out

i believe you have had the 917/787 and the terminator. Which would you say is the best value for money? I know it comes down to bashing vs on road as per preference. Ive done both just curious on the value for money bc i only have money for one atm.
Actually I have not had either of those. I was hoping to get one before this speed competition that Rlaarlo is putting on but I just won’t have time, so I can’t say so for sure. However my guess would be the Omni. It’s really well done for the most part. Just cant say for sure.
My first time entering the RC world. What kind of shock oil should I use for the car? I just placed an order on the carbon version I found differential fluid recommended by Traxxas RC but I can’t find shock oil neither Rlaarlo or Traxxas have shock oil. I got about 140$ I can spend on some things to keep the car in shape for some time I’m not to sure if there are certain fluids I should use or if most of them serve the same purpose.
Welcome! Check out my “Goblinator” build I did on this a few months ago. I show the fluids I use for the diffs and a fix for an issue I had with the shocks, but otherwise I am very satisfied with the fluid the shocks come with.
What do I need to look for when buying a biger battery how high of a c rating and a mh rating can the metal omni terminator handle I know it can only go as high as 3s
The mah and c rating are not necessarily a rating that can be too high. I’d shoot for atleast 50c and with mah, that’s just relevant to the running time of the battery, so if it’s high, just periodically make sure you don’t have any electronics overheating from overuse.
Yes it’s my 3rd good charger and definitely my favorite. It came with it set to Chinese though and took a good few minutes to figure out how to change the language lol

I bought ovonics 5000 mah 120 c I also bought a balance charger how long are those batteries supposed to take to charge fully? It seems like it takes a long time to charge
It all depends on the charger. A decent (somewhat costly) charger could do it in less than an hour safely. A basic balance port only charger can easily take 2 or more hours. With a 5000mah, it might even take over 3-4 hours.
I’m new to the hobby. Tried to get an old 1986 Tamiya Blackfoot to work but no luck. I bought the carbon fiber model after multiple recommendations on Reddit. Looking forward to getting it !
Oh my God the good old Blackfoot. Old school mechanical ESC, short wheel base, hard plastic body. I think I had 3 of those as a kid. Man do I wish I still had one in the box.
On my second drive the power button and esc are blinking red and the car isn't connecting to the remote. Any idea what could be causing that and how to fix it? GREAT video!
Have you tried re-binding the receiver and transmitter? These are the steps for the electronics in the 'Carbon' version (not sure about the Standard version). - Turn everything off. - Remove the cover from the Receiver box. - Power ON the Truck, then press the BIND button on the Receiver inside its box. - Lastly, turn ON the Transmitter.

The instruction manual just says "turn on the remote control first and within 3 seconds turn on the car for rebinding them; if not successful repeat 2-3 times" I wonder if their are clearer instructions out there?
@@cooperbrown4510 You never stated which version you actually have? The two versions come with completely different Tx/Rx combos. It looks like either the Rx or Tx is defective. Make sure you have fresh batteries in the Transmitter as well!

Yes you can, but if it cogs or the motor gets hot, I would put the smaller pinion back on. Actually rlaarlo even sells a conversion kit where you can use 17mm hex wheels: rlaarlo.com/products/aluminum-h17-hex-for-rz001?ref=ml6gV9o7
@joeytravis1953 gotcha. Yes any 12mm should fit fine. You don’t need those adapters for 12mm. The main concern would be not interfering with the body or if they had a major difference in offset.
I’m back to give my honeymoon phase opinion of the carbon fiber version . I learned how to do a mesh right by feel and not paper and keep it squared and go around the whole wheel in case of intolerances . I must have had it cok eyed a little because that’s how it wore . I did it more than a few times too checking the two pinions . Hardly noticed a difference so leave it alone ! There s a turbo boost button on the side of the controller ch4 , it has its own spot in the reciever too ch4 , whatever button to hood when turning on and doing the gyro has a 30% increase to top speed , some new turbo thing nobody mentioned . It’s in the manual . And that extra little wire is to stick in the balance and back into the receiver box to get battery voltage . That’s all that’s been new around here and work and the rlaarlo 1/14 brushless truggy . I was going to get the 11/2 desert buggy . What do you think for $160 ? Something else ?
I've seen the entry rug covering on your workbench in a few videos. How do you like it? I imagine you chose that material for low cost, reduction of scratches on workpieces, and because it looks like it might do a good job of "catching" small screws so they don't bounce off the bench and onto the floor. Does that work out to be true? I screw around with 3D printers in my basement and a work surface that could catch screws could be really nice if it works.
It’s not bad. It does have some “rubbery” grip to it, but kinda hard to brush off. I usually vacuum it when it gets dirty because it holds dirt and debris. I kinda think I’d like diamond plate metal more, but this material is pretty good for the application.
Hey Nick, I mean Jake, if it's windy when you're recording, use a high pass (EQ) audio filter to remove the wind noise (low frequency audio content). It makes a big difference. Keep rockin', love your videos!

I ordered the carbon fiber rtr version for $250 it's hard to beat that price for what you get. Also ordered the aluminum servo mount and 17mm hex conversion 😁 . In my inpatience for this truck I bought a AE reflex 14mt and made it 3s

Pretty similar actually. I think I remember the hbx was a little faster, and more stable on the ground. But this has a better suspension and maybe…just maybe, better durability. Time will tell but can’t go wrong with either.
@@DerbyCityRC yeah, right now the 2997A is 149.99 on Amazon. Which makes it seem more appealing but disadvantaged with the smaller battery tray on the HBX
That's my biggest complaint about haiboxing. They have the smallest battery trays. It's really hard to find ones that will fit. I guess I've gotten used to that by now though. Hyper Go dont have much room either.
Don’t have a big rock, but the granite being somewhat similar, I’ll go off that. Granite is the craziest out of them all for sure and I’d say I prefer the WOV over the Omni, mainly for the size and power, but of course it’s a good bit more money. Big rock is the only one of those without a center diff and the wov is bigger, almost as fast, and seems like even over time, its durability should be similar. Parts ship from the US. The Omni is still great for the money, it’s just smaller than I hoped. I think I’m going for the wov. Whichever you decide, it helps us out if I can give you an affiliate link if you don’t mind. Keep in mind it was a preorder and they started shipping March 18th, but people started ordering February 28th and they’re shipping out in order. They ship from China so it takes time, but people have started getting them this week so likely not much longer. 👍
This would be the 3s version, the carbon fiber edition with the black body is loosely considered a 4s version. This one: amzn.to/4di9SyG Even not using 4s, it’s still the better buy as it has other upgrades over this version. Thats an awesome deal they have on it right now.
The CF version does give you a lot more for $50. It has a different controller, which is probably the reason this doesn’t have that feature. Or because it would be hard on the smaller motor. But ya I was bummed about that.
I love that Rlaarlo went with their own design on this and didn’t copy WLtoys or XD. Which is where they usually start their designs from and then improve them. I think that 45amp esc should of a 50-60 amp which is probably why a lower c rated battery doesn’t last long. It seems like the esc is made to draw lots of hi capacity juice. I really like this . Wish that blacked out body would an option with the metal version. The carbon version is already special enough.LoL! Love that idea the young minion gave you! That was awesome! As alway Even, it’s fun, entertaining and great to get your honest perspective . Take it easy brother!

That’s hard to say this one was sent to me for review before pre-orders began so the ordering process was different. I’m not sure how long it would take to get. It’s become a popular truck but I can’t imagine it would be too bad.
Question, I have the Spektrum S2200 charger and the Supulse B3 V2 10W charger. Will I be able to charge the LIPO battery that comes with this OMNI Terminator truck?
Yup lol. I kinda find hard breaking fun but most people don’t lol. Kinda makes it fun to have to control the breaks too. It does suck it’s not programmable.
@@DerbyCityRC it actually is the green body, but is all bent up and not flaking apart, like what happened with yours, idk why but mine seems more durable, but i did break the stock tires within a day from the thin inner wall
@zackdsac3214 It was February when I filmed this I believe so it may have been kind of cold out. That makes the bodies more brittle. I still haven’t blown a stock tire on this though. I actually really like them!

You’re welcome! For a controlled power slide, the HNR Panther!! lol I don’t have any of the Corallys, but my favorite from these is the WOV, mainly for the size and power. This little guy here will definitely get plenty of run time too. For you doing epic power slides, which both of those trucks do well at, and no big jumps, I would lower the suspension on this one. You shouldn’t be disappointed with either one.

Well it’s not really designed that way, but with how high up it sits, it has decent ground clearance and you can turn the speed down to really slow so it might not be too bad at it.
I just found a brand new Savage XS Flux El Camino for 218€ here in Europe(235$) ,so in your opinion is this the best deal or maybe for the same price is better this Omni- Terminator or another truck? Waiting for your advice,cheers from Italy
I have that exact truck also. Did a review maybe 8-9 months ago. That thing is absolutely nuts. Pretty durable too. Almost too nuts and doesn’t handle well. Maybe with better tires but also doesn’t have a center diff. I truly and honestly thing I have more fun with the Omni, especially once I put some better electronics in it.

On Rlaarlo's website they listed the amount they have in stock. I always get that fear of missing out but yet I don't want to over pay either. They have the Omni Termination Carbon Fiber version from $330 to now $250 (sure I know it is a marketing gimmick); but do think we will see this cheaper by the time it hit Amazon? Or buying the pre-sale is the better bargain? Your thoughts.
I really don’t know. Hopefully it doesn’t go up, as I feel they’re priced well. I wouldn’t be surprised if they go cheaper but I just have no clue. If they did it would likely be a while.

Have yet to really discover any weak points. Maybe the shock standoffs, which rlaarlo sells upgraded ones. The carbon fiber version has a better body so shouldn’t shatter like mine did. The wheels are 12mm hexes but they actually sell a 17mm conversion kit on their website too lol
AWESOME REVIEW! I'm new to the RC truck world (I fly RC planes) and I'm trying to figure out the best bang for my buck. Would you recommend the Rlaarlo over the ARRMA Granite or the Rival MT10??? Cost is important but I don't mind spending a bit more if the value is there. I appreciate your input on this huge, life changing decision LOL.

My biggest reasons for not choosing it over a granite would be that while parts are all available, it just takes longer to get them. Same with any China car though. The good news is they seem to have started adding parts to Amazon. Also in stock form it’s slower than the granite and of course smaller. You could get the roller and put faster electronics in it, because with that center diff and adjustable suspension, it handles better than the granite does. The granite is probably easier to work on overall too! Whatever you choose, it’s super helpful to us if you use a link I provide to you, but either way, I’m just super glad you like the channel! 😊
@@DerbyCityRC What is your opinion of the Big Rock? It's like a Granite with a more stable stance. I'll be playing with my RC truck at campgrounds so thick grass will be an issue. That makes me lean toward the larger Granite or Big Rock. Though I'm a newbie, I want to learn jumps and flips so durability is a must LOL. Thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions! @user-ow3rm5zw1p the big rock would probably be better for the thick grass due to the wider stance, but it won’t do air tricks quite as well because of the longer wheelbase. Did you see the video where I widened a granite and gave it a center differential? Doing that, getting a granite, and after a while making it wider and possibly adding the center diff might be the best option. Wider stance like a big rock but still has the awesome flipping capability!

Everybody seems to forget the Talbot cure for body life extension. Drywall tape and shoe goo. My granite body has lasted a couple of years and it's my "go to" basher. The only damage is from sliding on the roof and wearing off the corners. I never had luck with any of the 3 Rlaarlos I owned, the most common issues on all of them were the Steer Arms kept popping off the ball mount. I always got the first releases of them, so Im not sure if the arms are still just pressure fitted onto the pivot balls, I had to take a needle nose pliers with me everytime to keep popping them back on, I returned all three.
Ya their first few models weee based off the WL toys chassis which would happen on those too. This model is built very different. It’s engineered and designed very well. Some people report problems but that’s going to be with anything. This is easily my favorite model below the Arrma 3s line.
Does this model fit a 4s battery?

I don’t drive it all the time or anything, but it’s designed and put together very well. Parts and tolerances are still tight, plus they sell many upgrade parts. I did an install and test of their upgrades too. Project called The Goblinator. Tested it even harder there. It’s definitely held up well.

Rear toe in is actually normal for a 4wd RC. Rear toe in, and front toe is typically out a little bit.

My pick is the Omni but there are pros and cons to both.
I think if you lower the ride, you must stiffen up the springs. Bottoming out to the chassis will definitely end up breaking something.
What stronger batteries can I use with out moving the transmiter
I’m not sure. The only other one I’ve tried was a Hosim battery, but those really aren’t any good. Just fake measurements of the battery tray and find a battery that fits. I personally like CNHL, Zeee, Gens Ace, and Hoovo for budget friendly batteries, but Ovonics are good too.
The only issue I have with mine is battery life and replacement batteries. Not sure which ones will fit it

Thanks!! Unfortunately no this is the metal version and comes with a different transmitter without a gyro. However the one you have is actually a rebranded HOTRC I believe?? So try to search for videos on that transmitter. Hopefully that helps!

Still waiting on a version 2 of the 10208, but the way they sit now, I’d go with the terminator. It’s smaller and bit slower, but fully upgradable. Better made overall, though with taller shocks, the 10208 is super fun too and has definitely proven to be durable.

Yes mine drives straight. There is a ST Trim knob on the controller you can adjust for straightness.

i believe you have had the 917/787 and the terminator. Which would you say is the best value for money? I know it comes down to bashing vs on road as per preference. Ive done both just curious on the value for money bc i only have money for one atm.
Actually I have not had either of those. I was hoping to get one before this speed competition that Rlaarlo is putting on but I just won’t have time, so I can’t say so for sure. However my guess would be the Omni. It’s really well done for the most part. Just cant say for sure.

My first time entering the RC world. What kind of shock oil should I use for the car? I just placed an order on the carbon version I found differential fluid recommended by Traxxas RC but I can’t find shock oil neither Rlaarlo or Traxxas have shock oil. I got about 140$ I can spend on some things to keep the car in shape for some time I’m not to sure if there are certain fluids I should use or if most of them serve the same purpose.
Welcome! Check out my “Goblinator” build I did on this a few months ago. I show the fluids I use for the diffs and a fix for an issue I had with the shocks, but otherwise I am very satisfied with the fluid the shocks come with.

What do I need to look for when buying a biger battery how high of a c rating and a mh rating can the metal omni terminator handle I know it can only go as high as 3s
The mah and c rating are not necessarily a rating that can be too high. I’d shoot for atleast 50c and with mah, that’s just relevant to the running time of the battery, so if it’s high, just periodically make sure you don’t have any electronics overheating from overuse.

Droop screws. Awesome adjustment. Are these common on a vehicle this size? Haven’t heard anyone adjust them with Rival MT10 or Reflex 14MT.
No they’re not very common on smaller cars. Especially not bashers. Usually on race buggies I feel like. 6s Arrmas have them. Probably 8s too.

I bought ovonics 5000 mah 120 c I also bought a balance charger how long are those batteries supposed to take to charge fully? It seems like it takes a long time to charge
It all depends on the charger. A decent (somewhat costly) charger could do it in less than an hour safely. A basic balance port only charger can easily take 2 or more hours. With a 5000mah, it might even take over 3-4 hours.

On my second drive the power button and esc are blinking red and the car isn't connecting to the remote. Any idea what could be causing that and how to fix it?

Have you tried re-binding the receiver and transmitter?
These are the steps for the electronics in the 'Carbon' version (not sure about the Standard version).
- Turn everything off.
- Remove the cover from the Receiver box.
- Power ON the Truck, then press the BIND button on the Receiver inside its box.
- Lastly, turn ON the Transmitter.

The instruction manual just says "turn on the remote control first and within 3 seconds turn on the car for rebinding them; if not successful repeat 2-3 times" I wonder if their are clearer instructions out there?

You never stated which version you actually have?
The two versions come with completely different Tx/Rx combos. It looks like either the Rx or Tx is defective.
Make sure you have fresh batteries in the Transmitter as well!

@joeytravis1953 gotcha. Yes any 12mm should fit fine. You don’t need those adapters for 12mm. The main concern would be not interfering with the body or if they had a major difference in offset.
I’m back to give my honeymoon phase opinion of the carbon fiber version . I learned how to do a mesh right by feel and not paper and keep it squared and go around the whole wheel in case of intolerances . I must have had it cok eyed a little because that’s how it wore . I did it more than a few times too checking the two pinions . Hardly noticed a difference so leave it alone ! There s a turbo boost button on the side of the controller ch4 , it has its own spot in the reciever too ch4 , whatever button to hood when turning on and doing the gyro has a 30% increase to top speed , some new turbo thing nobody mentioned . It’s in the manual . And that extra little wire is to stick in the balance and back into the receiver box to get battery voltage . That’s all that’s been new around here and work and the rlaarlo 1/14 brushless truggy . I was going to get the 11/2 desert buggy . What do you think for $160 ? Something else ?

I've seen the entry rug covering on your workbench in a few videos. How do you like it? I imagine you chose that material for low cost, reduction of scratches on workpieces, and because it looks like it might do a good job of "catching" small screws so they don't bounce off the bench and onto the floor. Does that work out to be true?
I screw around with 3D printers in my basement and a work surface that could catch screws could be really nice if it works.
It’s not bad. It does have some “rubbery” grip to it, but kinda hard to brush off. I usually vacuum it when it gets dirty because it holds dirt and debris. I kinda think I’d like diamond plate metal more, but this material is pretty good for the application.
You should get the redcat racing volcano epx or epx pro They both come with oil filled Shocks One is brushed and one is brush less.
It’s on my long list lol they’re good looking cars for sure.

Hey Nick, I mean Jake, if it's windy when you're recording, use a high pass (EQ) audio filter to remove the wind noise (low frequency audio content). It makes a big difference. Keep rockin', love your videos!

Pretty similar actually. I think I remember the hbx was a little faster, and more stable on the ground. But this has a better suspension and maybe…just maybe, better durability. Time will tell but can’t go wrong with either.

That's my biggest complaint about haiboxing. They have the smallest battery trays. It's really hard to find ones that will fit. I guess I've gotten used to that by now though. Hyper Go dont have much room either.

Ok 3 trucks on my radar WOV racing 1/9, Arrma Big rock 3s 1/10, Rlarrlo Omni terminator carbon fiber . Which is y’all favorite from these options?
Don’t have a big rock, but the granite being somewhat similar, I’ll go off that. Granite is the craziest out of them all for sure and I’d say I prefer the WOV over the Omni, mainly for the size and power, but of course it’s a good bit more money. Big rock is the only one of those without a center diff and the wov is bigger, almost as fast, and seems like even over time, its durability should be similar. Parts ship from the US. The Omni is still great for the money, it’s just smaller than I hoped. I think I’m going for the wov. Whichever you decide, it helps us out if I can give you an affiliate link if you don’t mind. Feel free to ask more questions 👍

The CF version does give you a lot more for $50. It has a different controller, which is probably the reason this doesn’t have that feature. Or because it would be hard on the smaller motor. But ya I was bummed about that.
I love that Rlaarlo went with their own design on this and didn’t copy WLtoys or XD. Which is where they usually start their designs from and then improve them. I think that 45amp esc should of a 50-60 amp which is probably why a lower c rated battery doesn’t last long. It seems like the esc is made to draw lots of hi capacity juice. I really like this . Wish that blacked out body would an option with the metal version. The carbon version is already special enough.LoL! Love that idea the young minion gave you! That was awesome! As alway Even, it’s fun, entertaining and great to get your honest perspective . Take it easy brother!

Yup. I replaced it with the black body and put on most of the available upgrades in another video. Much better body and the truck is epic.

It should. Just need to have an xt60 adapter and adjust it to 2.2 charging amps. 👍

Yup lol. I kinda find hard breaking fun but most people don’t lol. Kinda makes it fun to have to control the breaks too. It does suck it’s not programmable.

@@DerbyCityRC it actually is the green body, but is all bent up and not flaking apart, like what happened with yours, idk why but mine seems more durable, but i did break the stock tires within a day from the thin inner wall
@zackdsac3214 It was February when I filmed this I believe so it may have been kind of cold out. That makes the bodies more brittle. I still haven’t blown a stock tire on this though. I actually really like them!

I don’t have any of the Corallys, but my favorite from these is the WOV, mainly for the size and power. This little guy here will definitely get plenty of run time too. For you doing epic power slides, which both of those trucks do well at, and no big jumps, I would lower the suspension on this one. You shouldn’t be disappointed with either one.

Well it’s not really designed that way, but with how high up it sits, it has decent ground clearance and you can turn the speed down to really slow so it might not be too bad at it.

I have that exact truck also. Did a review maybe 8-9 months ago. That thing is absolutely nuts. Pretty durable too. Almost too nuts and doesn’t handle well. Maybe with better tires but also doesn’t have a center diff. I truly and honestly thing I have more fun with the Omni, especially once I put some better electronics in it.

On Rlaarlo's website they listed the amount they have in stock. I always get that fear of missing out but yet I don't want to over pay either. They have the Omni Termination Carbon Fiber version from $330 to now $250 (sure I know it is a marketing gimmick); but do think we will see this cheaper by the time it hit Amazon? Or buying the pre-sale is the better bargain? Your thoughts.
I really don’t know. Hopefully it doesn’t go up, as I feel they’re priced well. I wouldn’t be surprised if they go cheaper but I just have no clue. If they did it would likely be a while.

Bro I just bought the carbon fiber model any suggestions on weak points u bash harder then me,lol, also do u kno wheels hex size 12mm or 17mm hex ty for any info
Have yet to really discover any weak points. Maybe the shock standoffs, which rlaarlo sells upgraded ones. The carbon fiber version has a better body so shouldn’t shatter like mine did. The wheels are 12mm hexes but they actually sell a 17mm conversion kit on their website too lol
AWESOME REVIEW! I'm new to the RC truck world (I fly RC planes) and I'm trying to figure out the best bang for my buck. Would you recommend the Rlaarlo over the ARRMA Granite or the Rival MT10??? Cost is important but I don't mind spending a bit more if the value is there. I appreciate your input on this huge, life changing decision LOL.

It’s a great truck for sure, but I wouldn’t take it over the granite, though this one does have better handling. I’d also check my somewhat recent review on the Arrma Vorteks and I do have some videos on the Granite too if you wanted to try to compare yourself. You won’t make a bad decision with any of them! @user-ow3rm5zw1p you’re welcome and thanks! Yes it’s made super well for the price. My biggest reasons for not choosing it over a granite would be that while parts are all available, it just takes longer to get them. Same with any China car though. The good news is they seem to have started adding parts to Amazon.
Also in stock form it’s slower than the granite and of course smaller. You could get the roller and put faster electronics in it, because with that center diff and adjustable suspension, it handles better than the granite does. The granite is probably easier to work on overall too!

@@DerbyCityRC What is your opinion of the Big Rock? It's like a Granite with a more stable stance. I'll be playing with my RC truck at campgrounds so thick grass will be an issue. That makes me lean toward the larger Granite or Big Rock. Though I'm a newbie, I want to learn jumps and flips so durability is a must LOL. Thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions! @user-ow3rm5zw1p the big rock would probably be better for the thick grass due to the wider stance, but it won’t do air tricks quite as well because of the longer wheelbase. Did you see the video where I widened a granite and gave it a center differential?
Doing that, getting a granite, and after a while making it wider and possibly adding the center diff might be the best option. Wider stance like a big rock but still has the awesome flipping capability!

Ya they sell upgrades but I’m gonna work on my own shock screw upgrades in a video soon anyway. And it will backflip with that higher speed pinion 😊.

Everybody seems to forget the Talbot cure for body life extension. Drywall tape and shoe goo. My granite body has lasted a couple of years and it's my "go to" basher. The only damage is from sliding on the roof and wearing off the corners. You did an excellent review. It was thorough and it was a great durability test. It's an impressive truck. The way. it absorbed the landings off a jump is great. It handled very well. I wonder it's designed to compete with the MT10. It may need some reinforcement under the hood area. I enjoyed your review. I would be interested in a raffle.
