Beautiful place to live I'm from Brazil and I would like to live and work in a beautiful place like this. If there is a job out there, I would like to go to work and it's beautiful.
@@connecticutcoastallife It is off Chestnut St near Painter Park. The land was left to the city to be used as a bird sanctuary. It is a just a pretty wooded area with hills.
Thank you for your information! I have a question for you. I recently moved to Stratfort, Ct which beaches do I have access for free, and which ones would you recommend me?
Are you asking about West Haven beaches or Stratford beaches? West Haven is free if you street park somewhere (legally) and just walk to the beach. You only pay if you use a designated beach parking lot or beach street parking.
I ran from Savin Rock today as it was filled with inner city teans twerking on the rooves of cars. Teenagers fighting and harassing adults. It's like a dream come true.
NO! West Haven does not have ample parking at the beaches. Though there are several lots which make it seem ample compared to other places along the shore in Ct. It tends to get easily crowded in the summer. As for fishing on the pier. If the pier is on a guarded beach, (guarded by a life guard for swimmers) you are only allowed to fish straight off the end of the pier, you cannot cast off the sides of the pier. So those big beautiful piers that used to have dozens of people fishing are only good for about 4 people at a time. The life guards will call the police. And that goes for any guarded Beach...no fishing from the beach. The bird sanctuary is right next to the sewage processing plant, so if you like the smell of raw sewage, you'll love the bird sanctuary. Be forewarned if you bring your kids to the bird sanctuary. Your kids might get an eyeful of some creeps hanging out together hiding in the tall grass. (that's all I need to say about that) The Audobon is a much better place to bring your kids to observe nature.
Which beach is your favorite?
It’s a secret 😊

I used to live on Bassett street and I miss the Painter Park nearby.
Painter Park is nice too! Right up the road from the sound.
@@connecticutcoastallife Don't forget Ray park. The perfect place for kids to go sledding in winter.
@@satinbarbi thanks! I didn't know about Ray park. I will look into it! :)
