The Last Jedi Is Still NOT Empire Strikes Back

We were told by some Star Wars: The Last Jedi fans that over time it would become as well-loved as The Empire Strikes Back. Well, I'm not sure what the time table is looking like these days but I still absolutely hate it. In fact, It makes me more mad than ever before.
The Force Awakens was definitely a safe bet to start off the trilogy but it did provide a great template to work from with some interesting new characters. Unfortunately, the great newcomers like Finn and Poe were completely downgraded to make room for an incredibly lame plot revolving around a slow-moving space chase. Meanwhile, Rey gets to train with fan-favorite Luke Skywalker... or at least the shell of the man he used to be.
I think what annoys me the most though is how amazing these picture looks. Visually it is on another level. The audio/music is equally as fantastic. It really comes down to story and the treatment of not just Luke but all the characters here. I do one final rant on this film and hope that I can put it behind me once and for all.
