Good idea to wait on a truck. Get your finances in order and research the Soc Security and Pension info. You'll also need to look into Medicare and when that starts. Use some reliable sources and you can make the best decisions. Nice video at the river hope the water wasn't cold.

It's not cold in the summer. It's cool! This spring it's flowing cold from all the rain and snow. Ether way it's a good hike.

You can collect SS and still work but you can only make so much at your job before they start taking away from tbe SS check.
When you get to a certain age, around 67 or 70 years old, then it doesn't matter what you make at your job. I hope this helps.

the main distinction is between SSI/SSD which are for mentally ill or disabled people. Those people are not allowed to work more than a very small amount or they lose benefits. SS is Social Security that you pay into and can only collect after you are 63 (or wait longer to get more per month). There is no requirement to stop working or a limit on how much you can make. Your benefits are determined by how much you earned through your life and what you get depends on that and what age you take benefits at up to the max at 67 years old.

100% fine to work and collect social security if it is Social Security as in Retirement pay that you got being over 63 or more... NOT ALLOWED is working if you are on SSI : social security disability payments for mental illness or any other disability. You can then work for 6 weeks maximum per some amount of time im not sure if it is year or what but SSI/ disability SSD are not the same as the SS you get for working your whole life paying into it. You are entitled to that money regardless of whether you work or not in fact these days a majority of lower income senior citizen people still have to take on some sort of job to survive with social security. You can absolutely collect SS and work full time or whatever if you wish to. Those people who get on SSI for being "mentally ill" can not work or they lose their monthly check, that is a different system with a very similar name.

take the social security now at 62 there is a cap you can earn if you take social security before 67 .....You can get Social Security retirement benefits and work at the same time. However, if you are younger than full retirement age and make more than the yearly earnings limit, we will reduce your benefits. Starting with the month you reach full retirement age, we will not reduce your benefits no matter how much you earn.
We use the following earnings limits to reduce your benefits:
If you are under full retirement age for the entire year, we deduct $1 from your benefit payments for every $2 you earn above the annual limit.
For 2024 that limit is $22,320.
DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYBODY THAT SAYS DONT TAKE SOCIAL SECURITY NOW JUST CONFIRM TOTAL AMOUNT YOU CAN EARN YOU MUST KEEP TRACK IF YOU GO OVER OTHERWISE YOU GET A BILL IN THE MAIL 5 YEARS FROM NOW SAYING YOU OWE $10,000 HHAHHAHHA
