I love my Stinger GT so much. I went to a meet tonight and immediately drew a huge crowd around my car, most of them saying how they have yet to see one in person. Nobody had anything negative to say, I guess because real car enthusiasts see the value and greatness that this car offers. Definitely the best car I’ve owned without a doubt.
How's it held up? Any quality issues?

but, its just lackluster, its not super fast, it has a lot of tech yeah, but if anything goes wrong its a case of you need a tilt tray towtruck. But that being said, what modern car isnt like that. Having owned hyundais and Kias im not certain id want one to keep longer than the warranty

I have a kia and a Land Rover from 0 miles one was $31,000 in 2008 and the other one $53,000 in 2009 the Rover bring my the brand recongnition but more problems in reliability areas from New. but my Kia still run strong in 2017 and people still ask what car is that.

Glad you only said "For a Kia" once in this review, many of the reviewers/automotive journalists said that line multiple times when the Kia Stinger first come out. As for me this is one of my new dream cars, I love everything about it, the comfort, the styling, the performance (even though I have yet to sit in one, just from watching a bunch of cartubers review it), how practical that sportback hatch is. I do wish Kia would bring out more colors than just 5 or 6, I know that I have seen some in yellow, bright orange, etc... I personally like the blue and the nardo grey (that light Audi looking grey Jakub referred to) the best even though Cali Red is their release color that one sees the most in reviews. I actually seen that Ceramic Silver as they call it up close and it is definitely sick, but only comes on the GT1 and GT2 trims. But that makes sense. Thanks for this awesome and fun review of one of my dream vehicles. If I had 90-100k in American dollars and had to spend it on a vehicle or two, I would want the Kia Stinger GT1 or 2 and the Chevy Colorado ZR2 crew cab.

For me it's not about how the badge is perceived, but it's just straight up ugly. They should have redesigned it with the release of the Stinger.

The Borla sounds damn good! I own the 2018 Genesis G80 Sport and see elements of it in the interior. The exterior design is stunning. The 3.3T is a solid engine. The Ghost Grey with the red interior is the best combo. I can't wait until the G70 is released for reviews. Love your reviews, you deserve waaaaay more subs.
I Finn how do you like the G80 Sport sofar? I'm only 21 so they wouldn't let me drive it, but I went for a ride in one.. but wow it was fast. And the interior felt top notch.
Dylan Wodrich my wife and I love it. It's more her daily driver. It's such a smooth driving car and it takes off when you put it in sport. This is weird, but one of my favorite thing about the car is solid feel of the front doors when you close them.☺️

I have the g80 v8 rwd and it's a blast. I'd upgrade to the sport because it's more updated but they don't offer the v8 so I have to order all g80 sport stuff and just put it on my current g80. 😭
I can`t spec the red leather with the Ghost Grey on Kia Canada`s website. I hope it is available as it would be my first choice as well.

After driving a Sequoia for 6 years in Dubai we moved to Romania (Romania!? Yes Romania) and I was on the look out for a second hand car (like I would buy a new car here) and stumbled upon this one. I had never seen it nor heard of it and with the 7 year factory warranty I decided to go for it. It's a black 2019 3.3L 4wd. I must admit I'm amazed by the style and performance. Even my 11 your old son thinks it looks cool. He's in general not that amazed about cars after growing up in Dubai... He has seen it all and only a lambo Gallardo can impress him. He's old school. For me it's a Countach but I'm older school. Still, This Stinger looks good, drives great, has ample storage room and I can't wait for it to start snowing to really test its abilities. Dry warm roads on sport+ mode (which I have here in Europe) is astonishingly fast. Loving it. Let's see what winter has in store for us.
Rear 3/4 is my favourite, looks original and somehow reminds me of cars from the muscle car era.

Its a cool car. But i think that the g80 sport looks better... thats like a gangster car. But kia did a brilliant job putting the same 3.3T in a car that looks sporty and young. Great review guys... and great job from hyundai-kia... taking the game seriously

My favorite part about the stinger is that thisll potentially give kia the revenue for more development in cars, considering that they have german and KOREAN minds working behind it tells me that, in the next few decades, south korea can finally be in tier with japan and germany. This is a super late comment, but I was deployed in 2017 when this video came out and I reeaaaallly wanted to get this car. I ended up getting a Ford Fusion Sport because I couldn't afford it at the time and today I just traded in that Fusion for a 19 Kia Stinger GT2. Thank you guys for getting me sold then and now!
Long time review but I just got my 22' Stinger GT Elite (Canada version of the GT2) and man I frikkin love the car, snow pearl white exterior and red leather interior, never thought I'd buy a KIA!
1st off, Love how you guys represent T.O. Canada!!! 2nd, Love your funny, straight up and informative reviews. 3rd, I'm kind of a badge snob but... I'd have to agree that with this, Kia has come a long way and is going the right direction. As for the design... Hmmm, I'm not sure I like it. It has a few good angles but more mixed/mismatched & uneven ones that seems to not flow together. The interior looks surprisingly good. Design wise, I'd prefer the G80. The design flows soooo well on that car. Anyways, looking forward for what Kia has up it's sleeve for the next gen Stinger.

If Honda didn't have the old cool little Civic of my generation, I'm not sure they'd even have much of any brand today. I don't even know what type of person they're marketing to today. I guess....the type who isn't paying attention since over a decade ago.
@@user-os8sq3uh4n Their marketing is working just fine they sell lots of CRV's, CHR's, Pilot's, Fit, and now the Passport has already been spotted around town. Not to mention the new Civic is everywhere I pull into the college parking lot and if I do a 360 there's at least 3-4 in view. I think Honda misses the mark on a lot of things, but they are selling.

They actually built the Stinger along with the G70 Genesis. The G70 Sport coming out from Genesis will be the same competitor as the Stinger. But, will come with the 3.3L Lambda TT V6 or the 5.0 V8 Tau, instead of the 2.0T Theta II I4 or 3.3L Lambda TT V6 offered in the Stinger. (Also the G70 costs more, but slightly more luxurious)

Japanese/Korean cars I've owned never had major electrical problems like I had with my 325i, Mustang GT, or the Wrangler
In my experiences, German and American cars were solid outside(even the body paint never chipped after 10+ years) but horrific and frequent electrical issues that never went away

This car was designed both by ex-head developers for Audi and BMW. Kia literally grabbed both if them and were like, "make this thing." It's friggin hilarious how people who brand snobs crap on this because of badging, but little do they know they're probably driving a car designed by the person who original crafted theirs. Lmao some people are moronic with badging. It probably will steal sales for sure, probably more if people actually knew who were behind in the production of this car.
Mopar 4 Life negative. Small engines have shown to be able to take sales from V8s if the car is done right. Look at how successful the 3.5 L EcoBoost Raptor is despite losing the 6.7 L in the previous year

Hold on, let's pause for a second. Who the fuck in the right mind would get a 6 cylinder charger, let alone a 5.7 hemi. That is the most ass backwards thing I could imagine; scat pack, srt392, or go home. If anything for a 6, the inline AMC 6 is what's The best and reliable.
The raptor doesn't have the v8 anymore, it's the ecoboost because it has more torque to haul stuff with less effort on the initial launch, and it's more fuel efficient really. It has power of a v6, but if you want a power of a v8, you get into boost.

This is a FANTASTIC review boys. Ya'll are killing it.
With that said, let me tell you why I did NOT buy the Kia Stinger.
1. It's a Kia. I hate to say this ... but ... it's a Kia.
2. The FAKE HOOD VENTS. If this car did not have the fake hood vents, I probably would have bought this car.
3. The interior. I saw some reviews that commented the interior is a little "plastic-y". I thought "pssh you get a performance sedan for this price what do you expect" but when I sat in it ... I was definitely let down. The Stinger keeps pace with the brand name and I do not regret my decision to pass on this car.
So what did I buy? An Audi S5 sportback. I think the Stinger is such a hard sell against the A5 and S5 sportback that this does not make any sense for any reasonable buyer unless they can really step up their game on interior quality. This car gets absolutely destroyed on quality and performance that buyers are willing to pay the premium, and not just to say "audi".

This car is German engineered, tested on a German racetrack, and co-designed by a German... For those who are bitching about the badge, it's very sad that an emblem would make or break your decision to appreciate a kick ass car which could do circles around a lot of cars on the road, I'd say most of them. The badge bitching is a clear example that you could put a piece of crap in a box, put a pretty bow around it and people will buy it because of the pretty bow. BMW, Audi, Mercedes all made many lemons with subpar reliability from the late 90s to 2012 (approx) and people have little to no confidence owning them after the warranty runs out. In this case, while theres a ton of german influence by actual Germans, the entire system is not a continuation of german cars, it is entirely redesigned and doesnt come with the standard issues that brand would entail.
I am buying a new car and have narrowed it to the Stinger GT Ltd or the Genesis G70 3.3T Sport - upgrading from an Evo MR....I am SO torn!!

zachary paris Kia has a kind of consumables and jiggle-ables warranty for the first years which is kinda weird and helps put my mind at ease. Also the engine is used elsewhere? But yeah, it’s a negative on this sweet cah.
I will agree, but with 7 years warranty it’s doesn’t matter.
