Wopw, great video! That shot of the Tornado coming head on at 6.16 is one of the coolest shots I've seen in any of these videos. The Thypoon stuff was amazing too. Thanks for the upload UKAM, great camera work.

I used to work as an engraver, not that far from the then tripartate training airfield for the Tornado and they seemed to use the workshop as a marker.You wouldn't believe how much money the company must have lost when a Tornado suddenly flew overhead. Engraving requires concentration and everyone jumped, whoooooops. Apart from that, what a magnificent aeroplane.

You can hear them screaming to be released. I had the pleasure of standing under the frame as post installation/fault finding engine runs were done. One night when my friend and I were both designated as 'trade cover' as in the person from each trade who could work unsupervised, I towed the Tonka to the running bay, acted as fire cover whilst he ran the engines. He had both engines at max dry (100%) and then put the newly installed engine into reheat. That was loud.... what was even louder was when the engine in full reheat surged (basically a backfire) and the flame flew forward out of the intake and was sucked over the top of the canopy into the other side's intake.
We both enjoyed that.... Him more so than I as I was wearing a pair of pants that were filled to capacity.

its the hornet that the uk should have bought and not the f35 for its carriers and put a catapult on the carriers
i ve commented on this before and still say it can be done the cost against the f35 and the hornet would
have paid for the conversion on the carriers might be a good idea to put ex tornado pilots in training for the hornets
just in case the f35 fails we just cant have 2 carriers stood there would have to be alot of thought go into it
but cant see the mod admitting they might have been wrong about the f35---nice camera work on clip well done
F-35 has a lower heat and radar sig and has 200 miles more range than the F-18 and can cruise faster. F-18 doesn't have DAS.
