Love this! Very helpful, as I only have 1 tiny north facing window.. Really sweet of you to mention the other plant youtubers, you have a heart of gold (:
All of your plants are so beautiful and well taken care of. Your Prayer plants are just so awesome, they are very fussy plants, will start using filter water from now on. Thank you ao much for the care tips. Appreciate it.
Your plants are all so beautiful. They look so healthy. I fell in love with your channel because of the backyard video, and boy am I glad I did. I forward to seeing the garden this summer.
Shawna Muschamp Thanks so much! I really can’t wait to get back out into the garden this spring… I have lots of awesome plans for the garden to make it even more tropical 🏝 🌺☀️
You mentioned having a collection of Chinese Evergreens. I only have two so far, the regular green one, and one pink. Not sure which variety my pink one is by the ones you showed, but mine is stunningly beautiful!! I get soooo many compliments on it, and it's by far our fave plant in the house. I'd love to send you a picture, but not sure how?? I'd love for you to feature it in one of your future videos Hannah! Love your videos, especially when Marvin & Monster hang about! And love the education I get on my plants. Your big floor calathea is also stunning! ♡ That's on my wish list! Blessings! ♡
Watching this video a second time. I noticed yesterday my arrowhead has mealybugs. I treated it yesterday and saw more today. So treated it again and I will keep at it until they are gone. Such a pretty plant. Dont want to lose it.
@@TropicalPlantAddict Hi, So after treating it twice. And drenching the soil. The leaves are getting yellow. I am snipping them off. Hoping the plant recovers. 😢 But it definitely got rid of the mealybugs. Thanks!!!
Wonderful suggestions! Right now I live in a north facing apartment, so most of my plants are low light tolerant. But, in a couple of months, I'm moving to an east facing apartment and my plants will be much happier. Thanks so much for sharing!
I just love your videos and I agreed with all your plant choices for lower light! I was looking at the variegated Spath recently and was so tempted (though I just bought 2 plants and I try to pace myself) I used to work at a place called Tropical Gardens years ago (back when there wasnt the plant varieties you can find now-- all Spaths were the medium sized Spath. All Aglos were green-- How exciting it was when we had both Silver Queen and Silver King-- haha. This was about 1995 or 96) Anyway-- because of that, there are some plants I have never owned or wanted (Spaths and Aglos, for example!) Because I was so tired of them. After a long Tropical plant hiatus (busy with kids and then getting a career back on track), Ive been rediscovering them and its somewhat like waking from a coma because there are just so many choices now!! So-- Yes...I bought my first Aglonema (I think its called Red, but he is very pink) and Ive been so close to buying a Spath-- the variegated one almost had me! But mostly I still want the plants that were considered more rare back then (and used to he so expensive!)-- so its been a lot of Calatheas and orchids (You couldnt get a Phal back then for under $50 or $60 (us)) Unfortunately, I now live in a horrible house for keeping plants so its a bit of a struggle (Cold, dry, dark)- but you inspire me! After watching your videos- I found one of the plants that was new back in the day and rare and so expensive that I used to really want-- I was managing a retail greenhouse then and I still remember getting in the exotic African Mask! Hahaha- I only ordered 3-- People would walk in and say "What is that??" I think each one had 2-3 leaves and sold for $15 -$16 dollars. Now they are all over and I got a beautiful one right after you posted your Alocasia Polly video....honestly the nicest I've ever seen and twice as tall as the ones I used to sell, for $6.98!
Lara B Yes it’s a different world in the plant shops these days… Not just your common houseplants any more! There are so many I want to collect and my Wish List is always growing 😄💚🌿🌴🌵🌱

I've looked at many different videos from many youtubers and your plants are in flawless condition, not a dry leaf, dry edge etc., looking shiny ( dont know if you use leaf shine products) but fabulous, keep up the good work !!
Rey Hosein thank you! The only product I use on the leaves occasionally is neem oil mixed with horticultural soap and warm water… This Helps protect the leaves from bugs and also gives them a bit of a shine 💚
Gosh, I love your channel so much. I have quite q few of the low light plants you mentioned. I have the variegated peace lily and it is just gorgeous, it flowers all the time, less in the winter though. I have a large spider plant, it also has fewer plant babies in the winter, but in the summer it goes nuts, I have a bamboo and a ZZ plant. I would love to find a Fittonia "Frankie" that would be on my wish list, and also the peace lily petite, it is adorable. My kitchen is very, very low light - actually, it's quite dark!, and it has a small east window that gets a little morning sun. The walls are also a dark eggplant color (painted before my plant collecting days). However, I have a large golden pothos, 2 arrowhead plants (one in water), a heart shaped philodendron and a little crinkly pilea (can't remember the name). All of them seem to be quite content. I do, however, have the overhead light on most of the evening, so maybe they're happy - or, it's just luck!

Jacqueline Samuels Fungus gnats are attracted to damp soil so try to avoid damp soggy soil. You can also do a neem oil/horticultural soap/warm water drench through the soil. When the weather warms up a bit, I'd like to try find some again, to fill in a few spots on a dark wood, oval table I'm using which already holds several plants.I'd like to tuck some of the into the indirect but fairly bright spots. At the same time I had bought those types of "Nerve Plants", I had a few of the med-dark green leaved plants with polka dots.

Nauman Agha No I haven’t heard of that but I’ll look it up. For some reason they recommended for me to have ultrasound rather than MRI. I might end up having to have both anyway
Another informative video! And I was excited to hear your shoutouts to Nick, Christian and Kaylee Ellen-they have great channels. Marvin in the mirror was stealing the show a little bit as he usually does. Do any of the plants you mention go into dormancy during the winter? I have several calatheas and they are all in the same area but a couple seem to be "stuck" with no new growth. I use the same potting medium for all of them. And thanks for taking the time to put out this video.
Yeah, I've Killed That Thank you! None of mine seem to have gone dormant, but have just slowed down their growth over the winter. It’s normal for many Plants to have a bit of a break over the winter… Don’t worry they will continue growing in spring! 😄🌱🌴🌵💚🌿

Amira Hidar That’s awesome! Lucky you! You would do well with crotons, alocasia, peperomia, pilea, Monstera variegated, Fittonia are also good for bright light if you want colourful leaves, bananas, bird of paradise, succulents! Many palms
love it love it love it⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👏👏👏👏👏👏😍

My peace lily is dying. Please help. I have tried everything.
What conditions are you keeping it in (light, temp, humidity etc) and what have you tried?

Howz ur pain?
Nauman Agha Not very good. I’m having more tests done this week. Thanks for asking 🌸❤️
Awww bless u which tests ?
Nauman Agha I’m having an ultrasound done next on my wrists to see if it’s tendonitis (which I’m pretty sure it is) 😩
have you gone through Finkelstein test? MRI is more effective than Ultrasound
@@TropicalPlantAddict Thank you! I will keep that in mind.
