I 100% agree. It’s awesome to see Melissa and Sierra together. I discovered them several years apart at very different points in my life. I’d love to hear them do Ol Fashioned Girl together. It’s about WV, which is where Sierra is from but it was written by Melissa. Who I think lived in Pocahontas county for a bit. I’m from WV and it may be my favorite song about the state.
Having an old Chevy van with over 450K on it, that has been from Key West to Lake Superior and from Washington DC to San Francisco, with stops in Nashville, Memphis, Muscle Shoals, Austin and Bakersfield I feel this song. :)
Man that was BEAUTIFUL! i love it. Sierra is too cool and the lady playing bass you can tell is BaddasS! And her voice is perfect! The fiddle lady plays beautifully! This is as REAL as music gets. Love you guys!
Not from America, but good country music is just so soothing and warm that it makes my Dutch heart weep. Stay safe, stay healthy America. The sooner the world can get to enjoy good live music once morge
Thank You Melissa Carper, Giving Feelings To Vehicles Continues To Be Well Deserved, Even Sometimes Leaving Us Stranded! Great Fiddle, Rebecca, So Proud, You Don't Forget Freinds, Sierra!
Wow! I love this. So glad I found it. I’ve loved The Carper Family for years now. I Saw them on Mtn. Stage in Sierra’s hometown of Charleston, WV. I’m from not far outside of Charleston. So glad they did a song together.
Gorgeous song, I love the underlying humour of it. The harmonies are beautiful! If you own a car long enough it becomes like a member of the family and when it gets replaced you feel like you have abandoned it.
the song is a hoot but tone of the music makes me sad but the ladies in dresses with cowboy boots makes me happy again. Life is good. thx, Eric Oh, and yes I did subscribe.
*_Absolutely sublime ... who is that soulful lady on double-bass ??? ...what a beautiful voice!! ... luv this Trio - more of the same asap. please..._*
I just found Melissa, but I’m now hooked on her and her music. I’m looking forward to hearing/seeing more. Talented and beautifully unique. Big fan of Sierra too.
Sit right down and I'll tell you the saddest Chevy van story ever. It took me 5 years to build my '77 Chevy G20 into a show winner. Custom paint job with giant murals of Unicorns, warring knights on horseback, ghost riders on fantastic horses in full gallop! The interior had all the bells and whistles including a TV set (big doings in 1977) 8 speaker stereo, CB radio, swivel bucket seats, shag carpet and a blue velvet bed! Well, I met this woman and thought I was in love, we got married, and you guessed it, she gave me the ultimatum, the van goes or I go! What could I do? Even to say it right now I feel shame for letting my baby go! I felt like Judas, selling out Christ for a handful of silver! Now for the bad part! We wind up getting divorced in 1986, a terrible bitter fight ensued, we grudgingly divided up the marital assets, and I thought I was free and clear (no kids in the marriage). When I went to our old apartment to get my belongings there in the fireplace were the burnt remnants of the scrap books full of pictures and negatives of my precious Chevy van! Now remember back then the only pictures available were physical photos produced from film negatives at the corner drug store! She burned all evidence of my glorious Chevy van, all the van shows I had her entered in, all the beach vacations, all the mountain top shots with surreal vistas, and yes all the beautiful ladies who took a ride in my "Love Machine", all those great memories reduced to ashes! Relating to this song was easy for me, thank you Ms. Carper for pouring out my soul in your majestic tune! Now if i could just stop crying!
It's good you have a heart.. Rare these days for someone to feel loyalty.. Thankyou. You deserve many more subscribers..i hope life will be kind to you..x
Uhhh...I think we need a whole album of these three fine musicians! The blend is golden! You know I’m right!
I pre-ordered the album coming out this month!!
