You're correct, people will apply anywhere and when I will ask for more compensation, they'll hire someone who will take less and even has less skill set. Like literally sab digital marketing me ghuss rahe and mujhe idhar problem hoti to ask for higher pay. Dono side se galti hai.

I SCORED 92% IN MY 12TH, BUT THAT YEAR CUET CAME AND DUE TO TECHNICAL ERROR IN THE DEVICE I WAS ATTEMPTING THE PAPER I WASN'T ABLE TO GET ENOUGH PERCENTILE FOR A COLLEGE AND MY FAMILY'S POOR FINANCIAL STATUS DIDN'T ALLOWED ME TO TAKE A STUDENT LOAN TO STUDY AT A PRIVATE UNI. I needed a job and i applied to a company, They offered me very less salray and when I showed them my skillset, experience etc they clearly said we cannot give you the desired salary. on the other hand they are already paying other employees more than that. I had no other option than to go for it. I am not satisfied 😒 . I am also confused what do employers in Kashmir look for. Please put some light.
Me being in the HR space thought of answering this.
I highly suggest you to have a straight conversation with the HR / higher manager in that company.
Ask about
1. The ( KPIs ) performance parameters in your role.
2. Feedback on your performance till this point
3. Salary appraisals for this role & general in the company
4. Ask about the possibility for incentives/bonus
5. What it takes for me to get .... salary in this role
You should ask for an appointment, politely discuss these points in a genuine enquiry model without comparing with anyone else.
Some people need to see this type of content too... Ngl it helped me realise some minor things too...

I have a genuine question, as you said that we should talk to people and/or ask them about the skills and everything. So let's suppose I find a job opening in Barclays, and I want to apply. So by the time I ask someone for the referral or for the skills that are required for the job and then maybe gain that skills, that job opening gets closed. This is happened with me quite a few time. So, am I asking the wrong question here, or is there a solution? Thanks in advance

2. Apply for a job via linkedin
3. Follow up with cold emails to the job poster/someone on the same post in the same company
4. Wait for their response(?) (Keep trying and hope ki someone responds)
5. What if they respond? What do I do then?
