Nothing will ever compare to the first time I heard the computer noises in the middle. Geeking my fucking balls off of 4 hits of LSD. This song truly is a god damn monster. Tempest really is the only way to describe it.
Stopped paying attention, if I ever really did to Grammys. Remember Pearl Jam? They could care less to win and it's in the bathroom by the toilet as a decoration lol! But I'm glad they won nevertheless
EVERY band member shines in this! Justin’s bass is freakin sick. IMO Adam’s best guitar work. Danny’s percussion is perfection. Maynard’s vocals and lyrics are simply mind blowing! I love this song!
Your face starting at 4:52 could be the most perfect part of any tool reaction video I've ever seen!!! If you truly appreciate and understand good musicianship, that's the look they put on your face from time to time. It's the face you make when you suddenly comprehend all the little intricacies at play and your brain almost melts out of your ears
Finally 7empest, what a way to end an album. You should check out this live performance of Pneuma, focusing in the one and only Danny Carey: ua-cam.com/video/FssULNGSZIA/v-deo.html Greetings from Chile and stay safe!
@@deanwolfechannel I was referring to this song, not asking ya to do Pneuma Danny cam. But do so, for us or yourself. Its an awesome video & puts in perspective what Danny can do. He's nuts!
It almost has the echos of a classical sonata form this one, A-B-A. When the ethereal and consoling theme from the beginning reenters at 12:30 it is such a beautiful moment in the song. It feels like you have just been dragged through a hedge backwards with the unrelenting and 'tempestuous' middle section, and then, you are lulled into a moment of peace and tranquility. Such a great song.
I had a similar reaction the first time hearing it, having lived through a few hurricanes, it starts off calm, with rain, goes insane as the first wave of the cyclone hits, a serene middle as the eye of the storm passes over, back to a wild, hectic, and destructive second half, before disappearing as soon as it appeared.
I love how we couldn't hear you, but could easily see you say "How did he do that?!" lol Great to see you loving this song, incredible way to round out an incredible album! Can't wait for you to do Invincible!
I'm not sure how a song can affect me so emotionally as 7empest does... I guess music is meant to touch us spiritually. I sincerely appreciate your reactions to music.
Does anybody else get Opiate vibes from this song? From some of the guitar tone, to the beat of the track, to Maynard's singing style? I don't know if it's just me, but I love how its like a bookend to where they first started.
They have said in interviews that Adam had some of the guitar riffs from the beginning and finally found the other parts to make it work. That is why it has that Wonderful sound of old and new
I keep hearing how good this album sounds, and that is because it is real people, playing real parts - not just segments snapped into the grid and repeated. There is something lost in the way music is made now that this recaptures. Music should move air in order to breathe and have life.
I think a lot of that comes down to the fact that they collectively view what they make as art. It also certainly doesn’t hurt that they are not beholden to any record company, therefore there is nobody pressuring them to turn what they do into a product, it can remain as art.
danny carey: "ok guys we are almost done we just gotta get this middle section finished" adam jones: "how about i just rattle off some fat as fuck guitar leads for 7 minutes?" maynard "for fucks sake if thats what it takes to get it finished, yes just do it"
I like Tool but the more you listen to them the more all their songs sounds the same...they have a distinct sound which I appreciate but man does it run together after a while

If not aware, this song WON a Grammy for "BEST Metal Song"
Rob Tarter I knew someone would say that, thanks!
It sure did 😁
They all won longest song in history to hit #1 on the Billboards as well. Not this song, but Fear Inoculum.
They’re so good that they win a metal award when they’re rock.

My favorite section in the song for sure, the way Danny transitions from that drumroll outro into the galloping kick drum beat is clutch.
That china in the section in 11:10, man, it's so powerful!!! Danny Carey is one of the the most tasteful drummers ever, he is truly a drumgod!
This is maybe best album i ever listend to.after 50 or so listens its still fresh
marko mandic I listen daily. Hundreds of times now. Love it even more than the first time I heard it. Love this band.
Yes man, it will never get old, like Lateralus!!! But i love Fear Inoculum more, it's The Album.
This is a complete masterpiece
I stated that TOOL FUCKING RULES in another song. I'm moving it to this one now.

Greetings from Chile and stay safe!
Hey, David, ¿de qué parte de Chile eres? :b
Hope you are ok after the fires...
I want the 7empest Danny Cam video... matter of fact, I'll be ecstatic if Vic Firth released the whole damn concert.
More and more mentioning this

This could be the final Opus to their incredible musical legacy; "The 7empest - must be - just that!"
After the years of waiting, this song was so satisfying that I cryed like a little bitch when it peaked

Enjoy watching your little reactions and expressions and smiles Dean!
Dude please check out Danny Carey's pneuma drum cam. It's gold!
Justin and Danny: "So Adam, how many riffs do you have for Tempest?"
Adam: "Yes"
😂
“All of them. I have all of them.”
7empest? More like Hurricane Adam - category 7
I love how we couldn't hear you, but could easily see you say "How did he do that?!" lol
Great to see you loving this song, incredible way to round out an incredible album! Can't wait for you to do Invincible!
From canada, welcome to the Ride that is Tool! Tool family is peace, love, and discovery... cheers friend! 🤙🤘
Hey, peace!
Great to see you are still doing well. Once you see Danny play pnuema I promise it will give you a whole new perspective on perfection.
My favorite part of the song starts at 9:00. Something about those times give me chills
12:10 is one of my favourite parts of this album easily!
That section at 4:38 is my favorite. Its fucking beautiful
Hiro Brown I hear you bro, gives me goosebumps every time. It’s the pinnacle of the tempest for me
stay safe and healthy my good friend
Thanks
I came back again. Listening to a song 566 times isn’t neurotic for a band... is it? Cheers friend! 🤙🤘

If MJK says cookies n cream in his lyrics.... I’m in. Total badd ass he is
That riff in 8:20 is killer, i was surprised too!!!
A pleasure watching you react to this one🙌
such a great song and Adam is such a god in this one!
The octopus in action.......what a drummer!!!!😱😱😱

Couldn't wait for this! Thanks Dean!
My favorite one on fear innoculum❣

they are song writing masters, compositionally exquisite
I think a lot of that comes down to the fact that they collectively view what they make as art. It also certainly doesn’t hurt that they are not beholden to any record company, therefore there is nobody pressuring them to turn what they do into a product, it can remain as art.
That's so important. Make the art first with no consideration to commerce. Then when it's done, that's when commerce kicks in.
I love tool. If you're looking for other things to react to, check out the contortionist - language I and language II. They're a masterpiece.
Shadoe Crossland the contortionist are quite good. I especially love “Geocentric Confusion.”
@@holyshit1916 also a great time! I hope he does we are by karnivool as well
easily Adam Jones' masterpiece!
Even though I don't play guitar, I'd LOVE to see a lesson for 8:20-8:35! 😋
Its some seriously clean four finger trill runs. Adam shows his assssss on this one
@@neilpatrickhairless I wouldn't mind seeing THAT, either.
Toolarmy my friend this is a cool outro
Dean, you're the best reactor. Everyone else talks over the song and doesn't really listen. I hate that.
I started out talking too, but mostly Tool fans set me straight
@@deanwolfechannel Tool fans are my favorite.
Can you do Salival version of Pushit! My fav tool song. Stay safe
LOL, yeah Dean, yeah, get lost in this song bro!!!! I often just get lost in the music!
Count Floyd, well played Sir!
I love SCTV

You should do a video for a Steven Wilson song, No Twilight in the Courts of the Sun or Holy Drinker would both be good.
I love how Danny stays out of the way in this song.
Octopuses can camouflage quite well.

I don't think he stays out of the way. He complements mr. Jones perfectly but still let's his stellar guitar performance shine. 🤘
no such thing as "staying out of the way". the 4 compliment each other throughout.

Such a great song. Have you done any King Gizz stuff?

INTENSION/RIGHT IN TWO
400th like!!
Has anybody notice that the intro sounds very similar to Crimson's song "frame by frame"?
9:15 Dean Wolfe about to cream his pants
Lol😂
Lets be real. It's TOOL
Now go listen to Frame by Frame by King Crimson and check out the inspiration ^_^
Selma ya know.. I see a lot of people making this connection.. sure it uses the same kind of chord, but it’s a totally different pattern
Wow, that's crazy similar.

Fear Inoculum sucked, honestly.
So do you for not recognizing musical art at its best

you should rename your channel to the "Tool Reaction Channel" (react to other bands?)

It's his channel? Plenty of other reaction channels doing other stuff.
