If you look at the score, at the very beginning the chords are mostly Cmaj7 and D6 and then bam, it goes to Fmaj7 on "I wish we had a child." Some symbolism going on with that dramatic change.

If we're being honest, the movie never had a chance to live up to this. Bernadette Peters, Kim Crosby, and Joanna Gleason are absolutely unmatched.

I just watching the moovie : love it !!! and I wish one day to see this musical on stage ;)
Guy who plays jack is lowkey cute
Haley Ray don’t you mean high key
Simply amazing!
5:25 didn’t know they had this in the original too best part!!!!!
I own the DVD of this rendition of the play, but this sounds quite different from what I remember when watching my DVD.
Thank you!
I wish i couldve seen this before the film
If I’m being honest, I prefer the movie. Not because of the cast necessarily, but I prefer the darker tone. The stage version is a lot more silly.
That’s also just part of Broadway each version will be different.
Which one is Bernadette Peters? (Sorry, kinda new to this...)
She's the witch :)
GreenLampshade thanks!!
