Bob Berg!! Man!! 😮 Rest in peace!!
When he played like that!!!
Robben is just unreal, he is so unique and his phrasing is nuts, he is one of a kind, he has says that miles would be basically challenge him and the other musicians, that is why they were so good
Robben was just amazing when he was playing with Miles' band. 'Course, he's always amazing.. but this period was so great.
im starting to think Robben Ford might just be my favourite guitarist.
check out the first Yellow Jackets. Unbelievable guitar work
Im thinking the same lol
I'm right there with you
He doesn’t listen to guitar, he says, mainly sax. Tries to create those sounds
Mine is probably Greg Howe but Robben is like top 3-5 for me for sure!
Miles KNOWS just how good the sax player and Robin are.....! Killer
hehe...at 4:17 Miles accidently presses the hold button on his Oberheim OB-Xa synth and he can´t get it stop sounding...he signals to the technicians but nothing happens and that chord sounds through the whole tune and even AFTER when they start Tutu :)....Awesome band...Robben Ford and Bob Berg are killin´it !!!
It becomes part of the soundscape. Although Miles looked annoyed. Still ringing into Tutu. Your right.
Yup. I saw him press the hold and I thought he was letting it go just for intensity or something but yeah, I realized it probably was hung up my Matriarch does that and even when I turn off the hold the note keeps going and you have to press it again.
Playing a solo in front of a stadium full of people with the Boss, Miles Davis, standing 3 feet from you just watching.
Jesus.
Perhaps 2 feet.
Damn that was better than good. Nice to see Santana at the end.
I saw them in this tour ,Venezia.... first time I've heard of Robben. And start to love his music.
It's so entertaining watching Miles wonder around the stage aimlessly trying to figure out which key the song is in.
Miles was 'really' up for this one. And that base is so chunky !
Gran Miles Davis! El mejor!
That’s some smoking music. 🔥🔥🔥Killer No Filler!!
in the first part of the video, the man talking through a microphone was, perhaps, Lou Reed.
Awesome performance and video thank you Kevin
NICE quality !
Robben was absolutely tearing it up here! Cool as a moose.. goin pound for pound with the boss Miles Davis! Loved his Tom Cruise period!
The larger question is ....does Robben Ford know the "CAGED system?"
Cruise ascend to maybe the arm pit of Mr Ford... maybe the armpit. Stop yelling, you hurt the lil daisies of the field.
Cruise was part of the Ford period, ......period, we all know this who knows this
This just wreaks of excitement. A by gone era of the arena sound. I lot of what we hear here is mics placed around the arena to give it that "big time" sound. No days everything is recorded into ProTools then all the drums are replaced by samples and all the leakage from other instruments removed. Basically sterilized. This to me is sooo much more existing.
Santana has one of his first PRS guitars....
Ford is brilliant here.
If I was one of those musicians on stage I’d be thinking, don’t fuck up, don’t fuck up, don’t fuck up....
Oh la la la... Robben Ford !!!
This is fucking amazing i had no idea miles was this cool....Is he the coolest dude ever
Jive bunny needs to runny.
Miles invented Cool
Totally
Legends 🔥
Did you see Santana, guys?

Gee, I love Robbin Ford’s playing!
YEAH.... YOU AND A BILLION PEOPLE AROUND THIS BLUE MARBLE WE'RE FLYING THROUGH SPACE ON .... AT 66,600 M.P.H.!!!!!!

How deep in the groove do you wanna go? Damn!
Robbers not my favorite guitarist, but mad respect for him hanging with Miles. That is one hard gig, ala Steve Vai and Frank Zappa

❤Robben!🎶✌🏻🎶
jean michel basquiat was at this concert….😳
..👍
😮
A partir de min.21.46, empieza a hacer parecer que toca ,mientras yo creo que toma khat, como miles.mientras toca el saxo!
damn.... this was the 'atlantis period' of wondrous post modern music.... it seems like it's all died with the musicians who founded it.... all i hear today is computers doing a weak version of 'sparky's magic piano' and the electric chipmunks... all artificial 'so called' intelligence' for pinheads... shine on eternal señor miles davis.... brightest star
It hasn't died, you just have to look alot harder these days. And you're spot on about today's music, all they concentrate on is what they look like. The actual music is second or third to looks and image.
p a z z e s c o !!!!!!!!!!!
Killer group!! Is this era of live mudic over...whe r the greatest did benefits for REAL human causes????
Porqué Miles o Carlos Santana no van con camisa blanca y vaqueros?
26:15
mucha pentatónica ortopédica. Hasta los huevos me tenéis !Fascistas!
Two people on that scoreboard with a ... what is that?
25:39 -- that moment when you cannot possibly respond to the wildness of the other guy's lines.
Carlos was in over his head. When things get scary break out the ‘ol Wah to get you through! I saw this live and even then I was like, Robben don’t take prisoners. He can cut heads. And he did!
