    Parts list for the suspension
    For front axle:
    6x frictionless tan pins (3 studs long)
    3 for the suspension arms and one for the lower control arm that the bottom of the shock connects to.
    3 for both of them
    Rear axle:
    A total of 4 frictionless light bluish grey pins (2 go on both suspension arms)
    A total of 2x 5 stud axles and 2 red/grey bushings for the suspension arm (1 on both)
    Thanks for using my tutorial. May update this video soon so it’s more clear. Any further questions please leave here in the comments.

      About fixing the suspension in the front axle is easy, but the rear axle was a real problem, reversing the marriage process made me so painful (took me 3 hours to solve this issue on the rear axle seriously) but the result was worth it :)

  • @twogluon
    @twogluon 4 роки тому +6

    just discovered this after completion! An easier but less satisfying fix is to add a yellow shim to the absorbers. You'll need a small screwdriver to carefully remove the absorber parts and spring, then reassemble. It adds a lot more stiffness (which I like), doesn't hurt the range of motion.
    Advantage is that it the build appears to have 4 spare yellow shims (don't need to buy them), and removing shocks is easy for front and back.

    • @jltworks3167
      @jltworks3167  4 роки тому +1

      twogluon think I can see where you’re going with this idea, quite interesting. Though I don’t wanna risk damaging my shocks ;)

    • @Zuzoz
      @Zuzoz 3 роки тому

      But there are 4x2 shocks and only 4 spare yellow parts. Do you apply one yellow part for each axle, so one shock absorber remains the original at each axle? Or you apply all 4 yellow parts to the front axles because the front is weaker?

    mine still sags a lot and im working on a fix. it used to work perfectly too. i may have done something wrong, but my idea is to just put a zip tie inbetween the spring and black pin hole

    • @jltworks3167
      @jltworks3167  2 роки тому

      The result varies a lot 🤔
      At the front, there’s excessive use of lift arms causing the front to be heavier than back which would require some reworking of the chassis.

  • @balinttoth2339
    @balinttoth2339 4 роки тому +2

    So, I assembled the model using your instructions, and the rear suspension works flawlessly, but the front one still sags. I used two tan pins per side instead of the five you mention, because I could not find all the ones I should have replaced. The black beam looks exactly as it does in the video. Would be great if you could update with more explicit instructions :)

    • @jltworks3167
      @jltworks3167  4 роки тому +1

      You’ll actually need 6 for the front axle (I didn’t realise I put 5 by mistake 🤦🏻😂)
      2 for the suspension arm and the third one for the spring to connect to the arm.
      If it still doesn’t work with this change then the only option for it to work is to use rubber bands.

    Mine has a problem when I turn one of the back wheels one way the other wheel turns the other way and it’s the same problem on he front so mine doesn’t even move all and I don’t know how to fix it. If you have an explanation for that it would be helpful

      Adrian Fowler do you mean you turn one rear wheel and the other one turns the opposite direction?

    • @jltworks3167
      @jltworks3167  5 років тому +1

      Adrian Fowler that’s meant to happen as the 3 gears in the differential enable the front and rear wheels to turn at slightly different speeds to enable smooth steering. If you look underneath you’ll see what I mean :)

    • @jltworks3167
      @jltworks3167  5 років тому +1

      Adrian Fowler wait I may have misunderstood. When you turn the rear wheels, do the front wheels turn at the opposite direction of the rear wheels? If so then maybe one of the differentials is mounted the wrong way

    Thanks for the tutorial. But I wanted to ask if I can just replace those yellow shock absorbers with the red ones with harder springs (similar to the Lamborghini Sian). Would that be enough to solve the issue?

    F@@k Lego designers! I don't understand.. They suppose to be professional! Didn't they tried at the end?? How "normal" people can figure out it and they don't.. 😡
    Thanks a lot man! 👍
    Edit: I have brought it 4 months ago and guess what! My model doesn't have any issue. I checked the pins and are the yellow ones! Seems that Lego fixed them 😜

    I`ve looked at this video and it`s rather annoying there are no clear instructions why not do this right at the start before you mounted the rear Axel this would have been far better to understand.

  • @KidOnCorna
    @KidOnCorna 2 роки тому

    A lot of this information is false, as the blue pins would not cause less response with the springs, and the set has the tan pins on the front in the first place, and it is the weight that is the issue, if you build the set a little bit past the marriage part, and put on the wheels, you can feel that the springs are much bouncier since the car weighs less. Reversing the marriage process also wouldn't do anything, and I shouldn't have to go to another whole video just to finish one single part. It almost seems like this is trying to farm views.
