Thanks for this video. I always asked mothers who uses breast pump about how's it's done but no one gives a satisfying answer. You made it easy to understand and use. I appreciate it.
Thaaankyou for the review. I just have a question 😅. Do you sterilized after every pump or just wash it ? For example at the beach, you wash it and save it where ? Or how ? .
What a great and informative video. I agree with everyone else, you speak so eloquently. I have 2 questions. My first question is, when you’re using this pump, do you pump the lever the entire time you’re pumping? My second question is, I’m guessing you don’t use a pumping bra with this, how do you get it to stay attached to your breast? I’ve never used a manual pump like this before. Our first son was born 6 weeks premature and I loved the models pump at the hospital but I have a spectra s2 at home. I felt like I didn’t get as good milk production with my spectra, but our son was in the NICU and when I used mt spectra I was at home vs the medals I was at the hospital with my son. This time around we’re having another boy and it looks like we will be induced a few days after 37w due to health complications again. I have high hopes that this one won’t be in the NICU and we will be able to initiate breastfeeding right away. I was contemplating getting a haaka. I tried it with our first son But I don’t think I was using it properly and I had terribly low milk supply so it just served to frustrate me. 😣 Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I used this hand pump (and two other pumps medela electric and elvie ) and I loved this pump . To answer your question yes yes you need to keep pressing the lever the entire time which is one disadvantage cus at some point I started getting hand cramps but I guess that’s just the whole point of manual .. you’re doing all the work … however I just say the extraction is 100! Worth getting a few hand cramps for a lot of milk 😂😂 To answer question two you can’t actually attach it to your boob you need to hold it throughout
Hey I have a flat nipple issue so the standard size cushion doesn't work for me it seems, as there isn't any suction at all. Any advice on how to tackle this issue? Do I need to get a smaller sized cushion ?
Hi I personally love all my Hand Pumps but the Avent tends to be my favorite. Every woman is different though so sometimes the only real way to know is to try them for yourself and see what's comfortable for you. I also have a video comparing the Avent, Medela & Lansinoh on my channel. I hope that helps! :) Thank you so much for watching & commenting! XOXO
Hi! Isabel~ I am waiting for my first son and your reviews are super helpful to know everything about it! You are so good at teaching and explaining perfect way! Thank you so much and I also absolutely interested in to know about glass bottles of Philips Avent and It says this bottle doesn’t give babies air to drink it and I would like to know is this truly works or not 😁👍🏻
Hi Faith! Thank you so much for the compliment! I am so happy that my review could help you. iI have been using their Glass bottles for 6 months & they do not allow air into the bottle. Would you like me to do a review on their Glass bottles?
@@ashladona1282 Hi Ashley, you can use the sealing discs & the ring from the nipple (if you haven't seen this in my video it's at 1:19, where I explain & show you how to turn the ring into a sealing cap so you can use your bottles as milk storage containers). Also, milk is only fresh left out for 4 hours, those are the CDC guidelines for Breastmilk. I usually will leave mine out for 6-7 hours, but that's just personally what I do. I also smell & taste it to make sure it's still fresh! :) I hope this helps!
Thanks for the video Have been using for s month but like 3days now it did not work it did not hold the breast firmly so it did not pump pls ma what can be the problem
Hey cant decide on getting an electric or hand pump my main concern is emptying my breast i have a hakka but not sure if a hand pump or electric will work better
Hi, I actually have a video on my channel titled "What's best, manual breast pump or electric breast pump?" That video can really help you decide which is best for you :)
You are very welcome! It can be left out for up to 4 hours, refrigerated for up to 4 days & left in freezer between 6-12 months! Thank you very much for watching & commenting :)
Please ma'am I have exactly this breast pump but have tried fixing it to pump breast milk severally but all to no avail. After fixing it and put in in my breast it doesn't get the nipple tight to pump 😢. Please I seriously need your assistance. Also how to make my breast milk to be full and flow very well.Thank you
So sorry to hear this! Avent says they carry different massage cushions but I have never been able to find them! Every woman has different nipple sizes so without being able to find the right flange size this breast pump may not work for everyone. That is a big down side of this pump!
I purchased that pump. Unfortunately for me I didn't like it. It was so uncomfortable and it hurts. I feel like the suction is toooooo strong. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong. 😔
Hi! Yes. Totally understandable. Nipples are all different shapes & sizes. Were you able to find a pump that works better for you? I have some other hand pump reviews on my channel if you want info on some other ones. This pump is very strong. Good luck XOXO
Hi Isabel, this is a very informative review! Loved it. I'm working for a brand and would love to collab. Do you have an email address or instagram account we can reach out to? Thanks, Scarlett

Hello Isabella... How we can store milk in glass bottle?? How long we can use the milk in room temperature??

Which pump do you prefer and recommend - the Madela hand pump or the Philips Avent hand pump?
you don't need to remove the valve when pumping? bought this exact pump just don't know how to use it yet. thanks a lot! (expecting mom)
No. You always want the valve in your pump! You are so welcome :)

Can a flat nipple mom can use this hand pump
Hi.. When I measured its comes 5.2cm
Hi, are you referring to the massage cushion?
Thank you
You are very welcome! Thank you for watching & commenting
The manual says you shouldn´t pump with the glass bottles
Probably because of safety reasons, being a glass bottle but all Avent parts are interchangeable apart from the classic range. I used to make them.
I cant use it😢it naa do
